There’s not much I love more than books so the book festival is an annual favorite of mine. I am just not sure about the location change to the harbor. The location is breathtaking and there area ton of vendors!!! Make sure you set aside at least 2 – 3 hours to go through all of the tents and check the calendar to find book readings and such!

WHACK! Stupid ass Stephanie Rawlings decided it was a great idea to move the festival to the congested Inner Harbor as if that area isn’t already heavily populated and touristy enough. Those businesses in the area get more than enough business. There was four minuscule food vendors, everything was scattered so far apart and it was about 1⁄3 the size of the previous festivals. Mt. Vernon is a beautiful area. I’m vexed about it being placed elsewhere. Just no! Her and O’Malley ruined all of the festivals and cultural events. Between combining them and just flat out getting rid of them. I find it easier and easier not to visit for festivals. Many of the festivals that I used to attend turned to crap. What ever happened to the ORIGINAL Pow Wow that used to be at Patterson Park???
