This was one of the best experiences ever! Was seated immediately, very clean, great waitress, took our order quickly. The best chef salad, had a choice of meats. Either ham & salami or turkey. He got a great looking steak. Our waitress check on us 6 times,(unheard of). The bus boy. guy was friendly and helpful as well. Just cant say enough. I will be back. Hats off to Uncle Bills, it was as good as I remember 25 yrs ago.

My memories of Howard Johnson’s were ignited. Look, it’s a diner… plain and simple. If you expect more than comfort diner food simply made and loaded with carbs and fats, then don’t go. Otherwise, go eat and enjoy.

Good for breakfast 24⁄7. Its a good breakfast place. Its not going to win any awards for quality or atmosphere. However, if you are just looking to grab some breakfast grub after a late night on the town, or an early morning, it does the job. It could really use a remodel, as it looks like it has been decades since the last. The pancakes here are great! Very Tasty. The bacon, although fairly thick, lacked any real flavor. The same goes for the hash browns.

It’s all about getting the right waitress. Betty is fantastic. The food is great and the wait moves quick.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to an Uncle Bill’s location(20 yrs) so I decided to try this one. Pancakes 2⁄5: They were nothing to write home about .Not even close to like how they use to be back in the late 1990’s and that was at the S Kingshighway location. I think if I had a choice; I probably would choice Denny’s over Uncle Bills if I wanted pancakes and didn’t want to go to Cielo downtown for the ultimate in pancake experience.

Wanted to try as is in a good location nearby when I am visiting the area and the parking lot seems always full(Open 24⁄7). Arrived about 9:45am on 12÷05÷15 and waited to be seated for approx 5 – 10 mins. Server 211 was attentive but had a hard time hearing my requests most like due to the high ambient noise in the restaurant. Met some work people also their from breakfast who come once a month and said they had been going to Uncle Bill’s in the area since high school(place to go post prom night) in the 70’s and actually recognized some of the older management and service staff). Food was good but nothing remarkable. A good option in the future for basic breakfast.

I am such a breakfast foods person, and I’ve got to say this was very very good! My mother, who isn’t as much of a fan of pancakes as I am can’t stop talking about this place, she says we have to go every time she comes to visit me. Definitely has my stamp of approval!

Terrible service food and prices. $ 10 for an ugly veggie omelet! $ 2 extra for hash browns. I had to get my own coffee. Meal comes 20 min later with cheese and I ordered no cheese. I walked out. 1st time for that. I left the food.

As much as UB’s and I have maintained a good relationship through the years, from high school; coming up with hardly the money to cover the cost of my coffee, to my own time spent working there, to bringing friends here after I finish closing up the bar/restaurant where I work, now they have an overnight waitress who ruins my visits. Visits, meaning this is not the first time. The first time, her arguing about how she doubted that her mother ever worked here with me, I wrote it off and assumed she just was an overprotective daughter. Tonight she was snappy, rude and neglected ours and the one other table besides the middle of the night workman team who she was busy flirting and giggling with. The other table finally got to tell her after they had finished eating that half their food arrived lukewarm or cold. She was too busy chatting with these guys the entire time they were eating. Ever heard of a 2-minute check after delivery of food? Right now, I’m listening to her describe, across the dining room, fighting and getting drunk enough to be slurring. We finally got her name as we left. Meridian.

Late night breakfast diner? Fresh to order made food, known for their pancakes and fried chicken. On paper that sounds great, unfortunately this is my 3rd time here and it has yet to impress. Pretty much a standard breakfast diner, nice and cozy with a good amount of seating. Mediocre pricing so pretty much just an average place to me. I’ve had their 4 D, waffle, pancake, and fried chicken here, and skillet. Nothing stands out, blows your mind awesome, but nothing is bad either. Good soft pancakes, waffle, etc. Load it up with butter maple syrup and its good. Fried chicken was made fresh to order; however, very bland without any special seasoning /taste. Not oily, but at the same time, not that crispy. I’ll be here late at night when looking for some breakfast but that’s about it for me.

Not my typical pancake spot but this particular night Uncle Bill’s was a winner for the late-night, date-night crave. Meridan was our server(the only server) and did an awesome job of handling orders, cashing customers out, brewing coffee, retrieving food from the kitchen to serve, tending to each table with TLC. I was impressed. The pancakes were fluffy and soft and hot and simply delicious. Uncle Bill’s is an old St. Louis restaurant so no; the décor doesn’t scream CB2 but the restaurant was clean and tidy. It was not cigarette smoke infested like the S. Kingshighway location either.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. The servers are always nice the food is always fresh and the price is great. If you never done uncle bills you need to do it.

(3÷6÷15) Currently sitting here with a group of 4 at uncle bills and its been 40 minutes for my waitress to take my order… got here at 9:30pm and its 10:10pm. They are seriously understaffed but the busboy has been helpful in the meantime. The waitress has apologized for the wait…

Most of the time I come here no matter what time I get breakfast. Cornbeef hash is my go to with hash brown scrabble eggs and pancakes. Cover it with ketchup and where set expected for the pancakes that would be gross.

Solid place for breakfast. My go to meal is the spinach and cheese omelette with a side of pancakes. That’s pretty much all I order here, besides coffee, which is good, but not great. The place is packed on weekend mornings, but the the line moves fairly quickly. Late at night you can usually breeze right in. The service tends to be all business, which is fine by me. Keep the drinks filled and the food served hot and I’m content.

When Breakfast for Dinner beckons Uncle Bills makes the cut. Locally owned and operated. Family members usually handle the seating and checking out process. Expect Diner like wit and attitude from the staff. Open 24 Hours. This is a great late night dive. The crowd at night is amusing and makes for some good people watching. This greasy spoon has many memories for locals. The pancakes are big, eggs fluffy, and sausage better than most. I do not like their bacon– very thick. They are not the most accurate on special requests. The staff decorates the inside for Holiday’s. Plenty of parking. Free Wi-Fi.

This place is basically a nicer version of Perkins, which is basically a better version of Denny’s. The customer service was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and inviting. Service was speedy and efficient. Prices were reasonable and portion sizes were HUGE. I ordered the pecan pancakes and loved them. Fairly light and fluffy and soaked up the syrup just the way I like. My bf ordered the omelette. It was massive! The omelette alone could feed two grown men. It also came with hash browns and a stack of pancakes. Wowsa! He enjoyed it, but needless to say a lot was left on the plate. He just couldn’t eat it all. This place is really solid especially if you are in the area and looking for an inexpensive yet filling meal. It’s also cool that it is open 24 hrs.

Good local place which is a decent alternative to OHOP(not IHOP — those places are just slightly upgraded Denny’s) and open 24-hours a day. I’m pretty sure that my late-night drunken breakfast days are behind me but this place would be a pretty good option if one of those happens along again. It was lunch time when we arrived and I was no longer in the mood for breakfast so I went after a BLT& fries. It was good but nothing special. I had some serious food envy working when the couple at the table next to us received their food. The woman’s fried chicken looked like exactly what I should have ordered. Oh well. Kid 1 ordered some mega combo that included one of everything… which she couldn’t finish. I had already abandoned my fries in hopes of getting one of the three chocolate chip pancakes(they were a substitution item) she had in front of her. She hates powdered sugar so i was offered the one on top. It had been on the table for about 15 – 20 minutes at that point but it was still very good. My suspicion is that it was flat-out amazing when originally served. Even cold and neglected, it was still the best thing I ate there. Next time around, I’m either ordering breakfast or fried chicken. Maybe even chicken & waffles if it is on their menu.
