i was quite surprised when i walked into Tuckers with my husband, mother in law, son and daughter in law and my 1 ½ yr old grandson to have a birthday dinner for my mother in laws 79^th birthday, we were greated by a hostess that emedietly esclaimed that there were not any children seats and that there was no menu for children. we felt as though we shoukd go elsewhere. so we did. i dont care how good the food is or isnt. im not goin back there.

Amazing dinner! First time eating at tuckers. The service was nice their is an area in front of the bar that has several tables and a fireplace going where a waitress comes around and takes your orders for some adult beverages. After my name was called I ordered a 20 oz porterhouse and a baked potato fixed with «the works». The waitress was so kind and helpful with my first experience. Food was nice and hot and steak was good like i ordered. Great experience and great staff! Thanks tuckers!

No frills, low cost, great steak. We’ve been here a couple of times now and both times our steaks were prepared just as we ordered, had great flavor and was more than enough for one meal. We’ll keep going back.

We had our family party here to celebrate grandpa’s 90^th birthday. The food was good, great actually. But this restaurant may need to train the servers more to accommodate a larger group.
The party size was 18. There were two severs for our group. One server was great. But the other one made us feel uncomfortable for even asking for simple requests. We are never picky eaters but we have asked for severals things but she just looked at us like we are crazy. Here is a list:
1. One of the us ordered a burger and asked if they can put a fried egg on the burger. She responded immediately with a «no, we can’t do it». Without even checking.
Seriously, a restaurant can’t fried an egg and put it on a burger?
2. We wanted to order coffee and tea, and asked what their coffee and tea selection was. She said «we just have regular coffee and tea.» When we tried to inquire what kind of tea, like black tea/​green tea/​chamomile, she responded very rudely that «just tea, regular tea, tea bags kind of tea».
I understand stand that a restaurant’s tea and coffee selection may vary. I don’t have any issue with that. But my issue is as least you should provide me with the right information I’m looking for. Or at least check with the kitchen, or even bring us a menu if you are busy running other tables.
There are a few other thing that she just rolled her eyes on. I don’t want to list more.
In short, we were really disappointed with the service there and for sure will not have another big party there.

You want a steak west of 270? This is THE place. Burgers too, awesome. The service is good, the salads are good, the filet is perfect. AND they have Coca-​Cola. I’ll be here every Friday night during Lent for a steak

Fantastic steaks. Top sirloin to die for, great filets. The service was wonderful. They got the steak temperatures perfect. The salads were delicious.
Here’s my only complaint: cheap silverware, tiny plates, bad presentation, no bearnaise sauce. Other than that, if you crave steak, go here. Do not go for the salmon — overcooked and not the freshest.
Good steakhouse atmosphere, and the best beef around.

Tasty affordable steak. Ambiance isn’t everything mostly senior citizens, but definitely a win for a decent steak on a causal night. Add a shrimp skewer to your meal. Most meals come with a nice sized baked potato & small dinner salad.

Over priced, overrated, and under flavored. The staff acts like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. The last two visits were mediocre at best. Chain steak houses are better bet and I have never said that before.

Oh I hope they straighten out whatever is happening here. This WAS our regular place, but I’m having mixed thoughts. The last 2 times, steak not cooked right… ouch! This is a steakhouse, nothing else matters if this is not mastered! Please work with the new steak chef, the mistakes are showing! We mentioned this both times, we want to help and want to support local business. We’re taking a break from Tuckers, we’ll be back some other time… good luck! Oh! And prices went up… bummer.

I have always loved Tucker’s, actually worked at the south county location for a while. I had lunch here with my mom yesterday and as always, the food was excellent. I LOVE their house dressing! My steak was cooked perfectly. However… The hostess that sat us was incredibly rude. From the first word out of her mouth… I felt like I was inconveniencing her. We wanted to sit outside, her response was «I guess but, you’re going to have to wait until a table opens up.» (We passed the patio on the way in and there were several open tables)
Other than that weird experience, Tucker’s is legit.

Been here a few times with no complaints. This time to celebrate a family birthday. Brought our kids; 5 years old and 15 months old. They DO NOT welcome children. NO children’s menu (do offer pizza, chicken strips), NO high chairs, NO boosters, NO cups with lids. Said the building is too old to accommodate that type of thing??? After the bus boy left for several minutes to get a high chair with NO mention they don’t even have them. Also no mention from either hostess as we put our name in and waited??? No one mentioned til we were seated, waiting for the high chair for 10 minutes.
Food is tasty, just don’t bring your kids OR bring your own seating.
We’ll go back… just sans kids.

Took my dad here today’s r Father’s Day we both had the filet mignon wrapped in bacon. The house salad was good but my steak lacked flavor. I tasted no seasonings at all on my steak and my bacon was burnt! The baked potato texture wasn’t smooth it tasted flash cooked. Service there was so so.

They don’t have anything for children. They are not family friendly and are rude if you bring your family in for dinner.
For the price there are much better places to go for steak.
They have a bar that was full of old grumpy men.

Worst steakhouse ever. Sauce is disgusting, they cannot seem to cook a medium rare steak and the service is absolutely despicable… The bust boy had more etiquette and manors than anyone in the staff, including the manager, who is an argumentative, idiotic ass. Go to J. Gilberts or even Texas Roadhouse. Never again.

Went there for lunch; Poor service and terrible food. Will not return.

I enjoyed our visit to Tucker’s Place. This was our second attempt to go. The first time the wait times were pretty long, so we tried to go earlier and succeeded. The steaks are good and reasonably priced. I sense they are trying to stay in the family restaurant category to compete with the nearby Uncle Bills rather than trying to be a pure steakhouse. The atmosphere was a bit tired and dated and frankly could be a little cleaner. The steak was prepared correctly, but didn’t have a lot of flavor. I didn’t get the sense they used much if any seasoning. Overall, good experience, good service, value priced.

After all of the hyped up reviews by some in-​laws, I found this place to be just ‘okay’. The steaks were cooked to the way we ordered, but the marinade or sauce they use take away from the steaks themselves to the point you no longer can tell you’re eating a steak.
Hey, if you like a steak that has been drained of all natural taste and can settle for marinade, just do it at home and let is soak in Dale’s sauce for a few hours before you cook them. You will probably get the same result. Everything else was pretty basic. Nothing stuck out and showed me this was a great selection.

Came here the other day with 2 other buddies. We ordered the wings appetizer and the stuff jalepenos, 20 oz porterhouse and 16 oz ribeye special.
Firstly: this place is CHEAP! a 20 oz porterhouse or 16 oz ribeye for 20 dollars each? Thats a bargain for a steakhouse (it comes with a salad, baked potato or fries, and dinner rolls)
Appetizers: Eh, nothing to special, good tasting wings and fried, cheese filled jalepenos. Can’t go wrong.
Steaks: Got to try both of em, the steak’s themselves had very limited seasoning, not too strong in taste. But it was quite good, but not the greatest.
Gotta recommend this place, based on the price for the amount of food you get, but if you are going for a high quality extremely delicious steak house, gonna have to direct you elsewhere.

Tucker’s is in a prime location at the junction of 141 and Manchester — it’s not particularly hard to find. From the laminated menu, wooden tables, and florescent lighting in the windows, the overall feel is that of a pub-​turned-​restaurant.
That being said, Tucker’s does have some of the better steaks for the price paid. Is it 5-​star quality food? Well, no… but you probably won’t leave disappointed with your meal unless you are incredibly unrealistic about what to expect for this style of venue.
Overall — For the price you are paying, it’s a good cut of meat and good overall experience. I’ve made multiple trips and will continue to be a patron.

I went on Thursday 5÷1÷14. Mrs. K and I ordered the same thing tonight the special filet mignon. Every bite was a bite of perfection. After every bite I got a little sad as I knew there would be less bites remaining. Thinking back over the years I have come here I don’t think I had a meal that was less than great. I have always had good service from the my servers and the wait staff. They manage to always keep the drink full and the meal moving.
