I have never been SOHAPPY to find the PERFECT tree. My husband and I have spent the past 5 hours going thru 3 other tree farms before we found Ellms. After so much disappointment with poor selections, my husband called Ellms at 330p. We were 45 minutes away and they closed at 445p. We explained that we were looking for a 6 – 7 foot, dense and wide tree. We were informed that we could take the trolley to the front lot, where we might find what we were looking for. We got to the farm in 35 minutes and my heart sank when we saw the trolley leave just as we were parking. Could we run??? There was no need. We spoke to some workers about how to quickly get to this front lot(the place is HUGE) and they volunteered to take us there personally on a 4 wheeler. Aaron was the GREATEST! He didn’t just drive us to the field and drop us off. He took the time to drive us to the field, around the field and made some suggestions trying to get an idea of what we were looking for. There were so many great options fitting all of our all original expectations. We thought we had the One, but then I turned down another row and there it was. PERFECT from all angles and in every way. As Aaron was helping us cut it down, the trolley guy came and offered to take it back to the main area. Aaron kindly provided personal service in our buggy, while the tree got a lift on the trolley. They offered to trim, fresh cut the bottom, shake and bale but we only needed to shake and bale. They offered to tie it to the top of our car, but we just put it inside the minivan. Price was so reasonable and we got free hot chocolate too. The whole experience only took about 20 minutes and I only felt rushed by the setting sun, not by a single employee of Ellms family farm. Wish we had gotten their earlier to enjoy the petting zoo, fire pit and the chickens singing Christmas carols but we needed to get home and begin setting it up. THANKYOU, Ellms Family Farm for taking my anxiety ridden day and changing it into the greatest Christmas tree experience I have every had. See you next year!!!

We got our tree here last year and we were so excited to go back this year. We had a great time feeding the goats and the fire they had burning smelled great. Now, I prefer to support businesses like this – small, family run operation that is local and community oriented. But the prices this year were INSANE. A 7 – 8 foot tree was 79.99 plus tax and then you normally tip the guy who helps you out with it. All said and done, it would have just under $ 100 for a tree. To be honest, I wasn’t madly in love with the trees they were offering this year either. I’ll try again next year but they need to take a look at the price parity with other local places.

First time visitor 12÷6÷2014. I did research looking for a tree farm with cut your own Concolor Fir trees available. If you are looking for this varity of tree this is not the place. Arrived and was handed a paper map which shows what types of trees are available in what fields. Boarded a tractor drawn enclosed wagon. We were taken to the a drop off point near the fields. There are hand saws and carts provided. We proceeded to hike a good distance only to find very small Concolor trees, perhaps 3′ to 4′, tried another field, same findings. Took wagon back to main part of farm, looked around some more and finally found one row that had taller Concolor trees. The selection was very limited of the Concolors but finally settled on one that was halfway decent. The priceing is based on height so I would recommend trimming any of the base you don’t want if you cut close the the ground as I did and cut the top to where you want it. The tree measured 81⁄2 feet with the top section and the base I will cut at home so overall will end up with a 7 ½ foot tree in reality. Total cost $ 82 and change. After tipping young man to tie on roof this was an expensive tree of midline quality. The staff is made up of mostly highschool students that are not very knowledgeable. This is a large scale operation offering an «experence», There is Santa and reindeer, food, hot chocolate and wagon ride out to very picked over fields of most varities of cut your own trees and lack of staff training of the limited variety of trees offered here. I should note the the precut trees appeared to be of good quality, they offer free bailing, tree shaking and drilling for the tree stands they sell onsite. I will be looking for another cut your own tree farm next year.

Really fun place! I came here with my fiancée and a couple friends to do the corn maze and other fall festivities. We really enjoyed the apple cider donuts and the corn maze itself(which was really, really hard actually!). It’s a great place to come and enjoy the Autumn season and pick up a pumpkin or two!
