Omg. This food is so bomb! Please come here and try it out! I’ve never tasted such great Mexican food! This is my second time coming here and it’s beyond great. Besides the food the people are very nice! They ALL great you coming in and leaving. I will be coming here again for my lunch. Beyond happy :)

Ate at Tizoc Restaurant today, and I’m glad I did. My boyfriend and I had their menudo with maíz, and it was very yummy. I woke up craving menudo, but wasn’t sure where to go. Most restaurants were closed today due to the New Year holiday, but luckily I found Tizoc open AND offering menudo on a weekday! Well I’m happy to say that this place has some pretty darn good soup! The pansa was pretty meaty, the maíz was small yet tender and the broth was tasty and not greasy, like you’d get at most other restaurants. I must admit that the broth was my favorite part of the soup (after adding a bit of lemon and oregano). Their menudo hit the spot and I can’t wait to go back and try many other menu items!

This place used to be so good. Sadly they have started producing less than quality food, the prices took a huge hike up and the waitress with the painted on eyebrows literally gives you dirty looks. She HATES her job. I don’t know why they don’t just fire her and keep the little Mexican lady.
One of their best items was the huevos rancheros… I don’t know why they would change the recipe! The tortas are no longer what they were either. I don’t get it. If they’re going to charge more AND skimp on quality AND have bad service… That’s a 3 strikes your out for me.
Anyway I don’t think we will be back here again. This place has lost a 14 year long customer. Sad just sad

If you are Looking for authentic Mexican food … This is the place. Everything is cooked deliciously. The birria and chile verde are my favorite. This is the only place I will eat menudo, that isn’t cooked by my mother. Menudo only served on the weekends.
Good food. A little pricier than other places, but I’m always satisfied.

I order the chilaquiles breakfast plate and the dish was delicious.
The tortillas chips were still crispy in their a tangy chili sauce. Quality at its best.
Pretty much a hole in the wall with limited seats.
The workers are good people. Very nice and humble.
Give this place a shot. You won’t regret it.

Hidden on Maine blvd in Baldwin Park, Tizoc is a small restaurant, hidden behind a black security door, in a small, very small, strip mall just north of the Baldwin Park adult school. The interior is small, very small. There’s about enough seating for maybe 30 people. These are the kinda places I like. Small, intimate places. Places where you can buy Huaraches and sopes, and Fresas con crema’s.Spots that have homemade chile verde sauce that you can actually taste the tomatillo and garlic. Where the food is made by hand, just over your shoulder. You can’t get food this good at any major chain, big box store. Highly recommended.

I must say if your looking for good food and hospitality from a unexpected location then «tizoc» is your place. It’s true what they say, «never judge a book by its cover. This place always blows me away. Good food, they great everyone as tho they are regulars. Definite good spot to try. Btw the «carne asada plate/​with rice beans eggs and chilaquiles is a god send.

This place is delicious! Definitely very heavy food, so I need a nap after but it’s worth it. Found this place while working in the area and have introduced it to many others that now love it too. My fave is the Asada Torta. Their huevos rancheros are super spicy and good too. The owner Alex and his son are usually cooking and they’re so friendly and always recognize us and treat us like long time friends.
They have great fresh fruit too for bionicos and pico de gallos. Can’t go wrong here!

I cant believe I haven’t reviewed one of my favorite gems. All the food is fresh and delicious. I haven’t been disappointed as of yet and I have pretty much ordered everything on the menu. The owners are all very nice. We have been enjoying their food and quant vibe for about 10 years and we will continue coming. Sundays breakfast is awesome con un cafesito.

Little gem. My coworker I introduced me to this place. Their tortas are so delicious! It is very small but productive. The owner is super nice and the staff is friendly and humble. Menudo on the weekends. The food has that Mexican «fonda» or «cenaduria» vibe and flavor.
