Juan’s Super Pollo

We happened to pass by this place when we tried to get away from freeway traffic. Holy cow! They are amazing! The chicken was sooo tender it falls off the bone! I’m a white meat eater so it’s very hard to not make it dry. Food is good price is awesome! Dont let the name mislead you and think they’re the franchise Juan Pollo! This place is family own and is a definite gem. Too bad they’re far from my work and home but if we pass by will definitely stop here for sure!

In 2012, I first tried this place with a few coworkers because we a job in the area. I loved it. Three years later, I tried it again. It was OK. I thought In terms of the moistness, I believe it to be better than El Pollo Loco and Charo Chicken, but I just wish the skin was a little crispier. I’m looking for a juicy-​chicharrones kind of chicken. I definitely recommend if you’re ever in baldwin park. Look for the BOGO ½ off dinner special chicken combo.

Great tasting chicken at a great price! We love Juans Super Pollo and have been coming here for years! The food quality is always superb. Service is also quick and courteous. They do a great job at flavoring the chicken. This is not the weak and ugly chicken you get at El Pollo Loco or on sale at your local store. This is good tasting, quality chicken cooked with great flavor. Enjoy!

This review is based on customer service. Went in yesturday to get a «to-​go» menu for my husband who needs a picture to pick a place to eat. (thats a whole other issue) Went in around 6 pm. The girl working with blondish hair was very rude. Was totally bothered by my pressence. If she was busy with customers, I could understand. But the place was EMPTY! She handed me the menu and continued to tell me that the prices in there are wrong and are now higher. Which I told her was fine. I ordred from them in May for a teacher event at our school and everything was very good. Especially, the potato salad. I’m pretty sure she didnt hear the end of my story since she walked away from me while I was still talking to her. Needless to say my daughters and I walked right out of there and did not order a thing. Took my 45 bucks I was gonna spend right with me, and I doubt if I’ll ever drop another $ 450 bucks again either. My 7 year old asked what was her problem. To which I respond, lets talk about it next door at La Bufadora.

My daughter and I come to this spot almost every Sunday after church. I always order the lunch special and leave satisfied. The owners kids are running the show now and are doing an awesome job. See you next Sunday!

My favorite place to eat for lunch when I use to work in Baldwin Park I still occasionally go and pick up dinner for the family. Besides the chicken I always make sure to have a side of their white rice (it also has small peaces of chicken).

Came in for lunch during the week and it was during the lunch hour. This looks like it was a Juan Pollo previously and I wouldn’t have known any different except for the different name.
I ordered the lunch special 2 pieces of chicken with beans & rice, tortillas, salsa and a refillable beverage. The price is reasonable and the amount of food is generous — the chicken was moist and tender inside but seasoned perfectly and crispy on the outside.
For what the lunch special costs this lunch was a bargain and I would definitely return here again.

Came here around 2pm to pick up some chicken for a late lunch. I walked in at the same time with 2 other guest. First guest placed his order with no problem, but when it was my turn (and the guest after me) the worker attitude changed. She took our order like we were idiots and was not friendly throughout the process. We were the only two wearing business attire… so maybe there some resentment there?
My food came out at the same time as the other guest. She slid it across the counter and just stared at the both of us. Not a word was said, not even after grabbing our food and thanking her.
I ordered the lunch combo with 2 piece chicken, 2 sides, tortilla and salsa with free small drink. I enjoyed the white rice and potatoes salad. Chicken was kind of dry, but I don’t expect much. Nothing to special about the non spicy «hot» salsa or tortilla. Portion was enough for lunch and dinner and price reasonable (6.75 with tax).
–2 star for bad service and attitude of the young lady worker.

Considering I’ve been a customer since 2006 its about time that I post a review. We enjoy the family special at least once a month. The spouse will get a chicken burrito hold the rice every week. Note he loves the rice but does not like any rice in burritos. I like the nachos.
The Company I work for has vendors that like to buy us lunches. Since its for 100 people the use to get pizza, sandwiches or el pollo. I recommended Juans as we’ve used it for family parties. It was a big hit with my colleagues and its our preferred catering place.
The chicken is tender, rice and beans tasty, the potato salad is scrumptious and the salsa is amazing!
Oh I got delicious nachos today!

I initially said hey there’s a Juan Pollo over here, but after looking up the reviews I realized it wasn’t the same thing, but thought how bad could it be.
I ordered the chicken nachos since someone posted a pic and it looked decent. The chips were fine, beans good, sour cream good, the guacamole was starting to discolor a bit but I wouldn’t deduct any stars for that. But the chicken was just bad, it had that re-​warmed taste, and parts of it were hard. I tried to eat around it but they do put a lot of chicken.

My wife ordered a bean and cheese burrito burrito and there was a rock in it. No joke for real.

Tried this place for lunch today and it was very good. The inside is clean and the staff is friendly. They take and serve orders quickly so don’t let a line worry you. I had mine to go but wouldn’t mind staying to eat in the dining area.
I tried the two piece lunch special with two sides and a drink. It also came with tortillas and salsa. I am not usually a big fan of chicken but this really is outstanding. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, the meat comes apart easily. Price is very reasonable, more quality food for your dollar than a fast food chain.

I came last night for my first time, I’ve lived near the area my whole life. The chicken was really well flavored throughout (not just the skin). I got the family special I think, 2 whole chickens, 3 sides, plus tortillas and salsa. We ordered the mild salsa, which was great, next time tho I’m gonna add a little more spice. The wait wasn’t long at all, the lady at the counter was super nice. And the restaurant was clean. Going to be going back for sure, and trying some other menu items.

Love their super chicken salad. Chicken is moist and very well seasoned. Rachel is such a sweet lady. I forgot my wallet one time and she said that I can pay for it next time. Who does that now a days? This place is a must try!!! You won’t regret it :)

Came here last night to pick up my fried’s order for our annual holiday party. Walking in you just get a really good vibe of the place. The staff were very friendly. My friend ordered the #1 party tray, which consists of 6 whole chickens, flour or corn tortillas, salsa, rice, beans and potato salad for $ 69.
The chicken was yummy, not dry at all. Adding the salsa to it just made it even more yummy! The rice was not the regular mexican rice i’m use to but it delish too!
We were bummed to find out when we got home that it did not come with tortilla chips. :(

I’ve been coming here for years! I come during lunch time and always order their lunch special. It consists of chicken, rice, potato salad, tortillas, salsa, and a drink… for less than $ 6! The food is really good and there’s usually a wait during lunch time.
They offer specials almost everyday of the week. You will have to look for them under their menu that’s hanging on the wall. (they’re printed on colored paper). Staff here is friendly and dining area is relatively clean.

One Word. AMAZING!
Juan’s Super Pollo is quality rotisserie chicken at an affordable price. Conveniently located in the corner plaza of Arrow Highway and Irwindale Ave.
Juan’s Super Pollo is a small «Mom and Pop Shop» that specializes in rotisserie chicken. The chicken is delicious, moist, and tender. It’s probably some of the best rotisserie chicken I’ve had in a while. They also have amazing daily specials, however my favorite is the Tuesday Special (Half Chicken, Tortilla, Salsa, Small Salad, and a Medium Drink). You can get all that for less than $ 6!
The owner here is especially friendly and I’m a frequent regular since its so close to my work.
