I come here from time to time after work because it is down the street from my work and I can pick up something quick on the way home for dinner. It’s a typical Food 4 Less store. The area is not the best… and lots of people throw carts ALL over the parking lot, so watch where you park. I usually just go in/out as fast as I can. Food for less tends to have some good deals from time to time. They actually still let you use the plastic bags here… without charging you! There’s always a security guard person at the door, but the cashiers never seem friendly. They always seem like they are preoccupied or just plain unfriendly… but then, after a long day of work, I’m not all that friendly either… so I don’t really care. I just get what I need, pay and leave. Despite the lackluster parking lot and shopping carts, the inside of the store is surprising clean. They have a decent selection of things, produce, fruits, fresh meats, dairy. They do have a large selection of Mexican food items because of the area. Sometimes it can get crowded, but for the most part, the lines move pretty fast. I’ll be back since it’s convenient for me to go here after work. If you like tamales, there is ALWAYS a tamale lady in the parking lot who sells tamales. I personally have never tried them…

This store has lots of people coming through as it is just at a highway access point. I have been here on the way to work to pick up cakes for birthdays and random work needs. It is a solid store but ½ the time I get stuck behind someone trying to refund an item and it takes forever for the cashier to makes things happen. on the times there are no glitches this store will do in a pinch. overall check it out and get your stuff.

A young man, who was wearing converse and finished with his shift, helped us for ten minutes at almost 10 pm find canned pumpkin for our dog who needs it to eat his medicine. This young man went above and beyond to help us while shopping for his own groceries after work. This was not an emergency, but we were about to give up looking and this young man made our night so much easier. Thank you for your help! We could all help out a little more like this guy.

My favorite place to shop. Great prices and friendly staff. Most of the time I get in and out of there pretty fast. You can’t beat their prices. From bread to wine… I get most of my products here. BTW, if you have any party/events…They sell 50 peice mixed chicken for $ 32(not bad). Also, the tamale lady is always outside if you’re in the mood.

Your basic Food-4-Less. Set up almost exactly like the El Monte location. I mainly come here because I recycle cans at RePlanet behind the store and have to cash out here. But the store is pretty clean and big. Parking lot is always pretty busy.

This was our first experience with Food 4 less. We figured we would try it out. Prices vary, some are reasonably priced & cheap while other items are pretty pricey. $ 5 for bagels?! Are you kidding me? That is one example. So pick and choose what you buy here. It is nicely set up and pretty easy to find what you need. Cheaper than most grocery stores in the area. A good store if you need to feed a large family since a lot of items come in large family sizes. We didn’t have any bad experiences with the workers. They aren’t friendly but they weren’t rude either. I like that you bag your own items. Will make sure to update the review if anything changes on our next visits.

I love this store, It’s clean and cheap. However, A lot of the MGR special meats are going bad and discolored. Beware and double check. The clearance bread is always good! The staff… Well all the meat/deli staff are awesome, friendly and always helpful. The cashiers most are friendly… only 1 bad apple. The older manager Martha can get a bit moody with customers somewhat rude, The manager guy with white shirt and mustache in his late 30s or early 40s has and bit of an attitude problem… one time I was waiting in line and a lady was asking for cash back apparently the cashier didn’t have the amount on her register and the manager(maybe the store manager or asm) was super moody and rude, She asked of this was a real $ 100 bill maybe she didn’t know the new ones had blue tape. The guy rude and condescending said«You never seen a 100 bill»? My god the lady had mentioned her daughter had cancer and he was being very mean to her and caused her distress. He forcefully looked as if he didn’t want to help her. I had to mention this as this isn’t right. He seems to be nicer to the«Skinny cuties» he always has a face when I ask him something. Aside from that the rest of the staff is alright and I love the older hispanic security lady with glasses she is always cordial and helping others, to the point the old lady manager has told her not to. Hate the loiters and the people smoking weed in their cars outside, what to expect it’s just a bit ghetto. But I love the low prices. From diapers to dog food! Open til 12am.

I’ve never been to a food for less before so this is my experience at this food for less. I came here twice this week with a friend and it wasn’t bad. The meats are fresh and the prices are pretty low. The store isn’t as bad as I had imagined lol.

Stopped here on my way home from work to buy ingredients for Mac n Cheese on Monday evening. I began to prepare it for thanksgiving tomorrow. When I grabbed the cheese out of my refrigerator to grate it, I was utterly disgusted to find mold on both of the 2lb blocks of sharp cheddar. Seriously WtH is that!!! Grrrrrrrr… You figure when you walk into a grocery store the items on the shelf would be edible. And I tried to avoid the thanksgiving chaos by shopping early but spoiled cheese, spoiled my evening. Check the items before you put them out for sale! So Nauseating!

I could spend hours here in this store and not realize it. Prices are cheaper. I like getting my cases of water here and their meats are good. I just don’t like the people milling about outside bothering you before and after you do your shopping for either fundraisers or tamales or some bootleg DVDs, those are scary especially when you’re shopping by yourself at night.

Needs a greater selection of produce. Only one main checkout was open with all three express lanes open. Should cater more to customers.

This is the only big«chain» market in Baldwin Park — Theres a bunch of no name places though. This place is a bit of a mess, stuff misplaced, theres no rhyme or reason on how they arrange the products in the aisles. The carts are in very bad shape. Whenever I came here, they only have 2 checkers open with like 6 – 7 people in line each. They need to hire more people. The stuff advertised in the weekly ads are ALWAYS sold out. Yes, even on the first day, in the morning. I usually make the drive to Eastland Center and goto the Albertsons there.

Come here all the time. The beer is cheap, so is the liquor. I’ve never really came here to buy food. For some reason only 3 lines are ever open, which really sucks because it’s always packed. But I like coming here because it’s nearby and the cashiers have good customer service.

Food 4 Less is one of several markets in the area where my family goes grocery shopping. This is a no frills/not-so fancy supermarket which sells the basic groceries, meats, seafood, deli, bakery, and fresh produce, at good prices. No membership cards required here to take advantage of sale prices. Very often, there are great deals which we take advantage of such as Coke or Pepsi on sale, frozen foods, prepared dinners, canned goods, fresh strawberries, mangos, and more. Food 4 Less has an ongoing 10 for $ 10 mix n’ match sale on several items including Pasta Roni, Banquet frozen dinners, Celeste pizza, Pepperidge Farm Goldfish, and Vitaminwater, a similar sale to what Vons had a few weeks ago. Food 4 Less carries the Kroger and Private Selection brands of products here. I like the Kroger yogurts, which we keep in the fridge for breakfast or snacktime. We shop here at night when it’s not that busy, but this is not quite a 24 hour store, which closes at 2AM and reopens at 6AM.
