My appointment at Dr. Brown’s office was terrific. I was excited to find an eye doctor that I liked and was planning to stay with her as long as I was in the area.
However, it’s been next to impossible to actually retrieve my glasses. My appointment was six weeks ago and they are still not in my possession. Here’s why:
1) I was told the glasses would be finished in a week. I was leaving town in two weeks, so I was careful to verify that they would be ready before I left. However, two weeks later, they still weren’t ready and I had to leave town without them.
2) The office is open very limited hours (M-​T-​Th-​Fr from 9:00 — 1:30), which makes it quite difficult to get in there. (Their voicemail actually says 9:00 — 2:30, which didn’t seem to concern them when I called to verify the times.)
3) They don’t actually stick to their limited hours. Today, for example, I’d organized my day around being able to stop by to pick up my glasses. But, oh well, they didn’t have any appointments booked for the afternoon, so they decided to go home early. Nevermind me.
Ugh. I’m so irritated.
