Dan and his team just finished up our patio today. Looks fantastic. Can’t say enough about Dan. He was thorough and reasonable and he came up with a really great plan. And Dan knows his plants. Best part was that he was open to our ideas but was honest enough to tell us what might not work. And he would get back to me within minutes when I e-​mailed him! That’s class. It’s been two years since Dan and his crew have done our backyard brick edging, plant landscaping, and placing a gravel walk and extension to our small patio. He is extremely responsive and diligent in his work.
Our yard still looks beautiful and we are so glad we put the money in to enjoy it.
I recently emailed him to ask for some new trees and he wrote back right away and will be getting me some soon. He is one of those rare finds where work is done better than expected.

Dan did a terrific job seeding a new front lawn for us. He worked in a time efficient manner and provided clear instructions for maintenance. He also planted winterberry plants and a serviceberry that look great. We appreciated that Dan talked us out of a more expensive sodding. Dan returned on multiple occasions to reseed over the first few weeks since the lawn came in spotty (as is the case for new seeding).

The bottom line: Dan and his company, EcoLandscape Design, exceeded our expectations in designing and installing a
beautiful landscape. Communication and follow-​through were superb. I recommend with enthusiasm.
Details: Dan recently designed and installed a series of mixed perennial beds (including shrubs and small trees) for the front and sides of our house in Drexel Hill, and I couldn’t be happier with the process or the results. We moved into this house this past winter, and while there were some existing plantings, we wanted a unified design that would enhance the appearance of the house, provide some screening of our side yard from neighbors and the sidewalk, and be both wildlife-​friendly and relatively low-​maintenance. We also wanted something more creative than standard foundation plantings.
Dan’s approach to the design was thoughtful and responsive — he addressed all of our requests in creative ways, happily incorporated favorite plants (sometimes steering us toward alternatives he thought would be better for the site), was patient with questions and requests, and delivered beautiful renderings. He was mindful of budget throughout the process, suggesting how we could achieve the maximum effect for the money.
The installation went off exactly as planned, and Dan’s team was friendly and professional and left the site tidy each day. Dan walked us through the finished plantings and thoroughly explained the temporary timed watering system he set up as well as suggested maintenance. He has checked in since to be sure that everything is thriving.
Dan is extremely responsive and provides excellent customer service. He answered questions via email almost immediately and made several stops at the house to explain things in person. We made a few changes and additions mid-​installation, and Dan took it all in stride and seemed to care only about delivering a landscape that we would love.

It’s a bit more than a year since Dan landscaped around our (then) new sun-​room. Everything survived the winter in good shape and it all looks good. It’s thriving so well, I may have to thin the plants and move a few of the extras elsewhere. Dan came by today and spent an hour giving suggestions on pruning his work — and a lot of plants in the front yard that someone else put in. He did not charge for the visit. A+ for him.
