Went today to buy our first kite. The staff was friendly and helpful. They assembled the kite for us and we were on our way. They had a nice selection of kites, with good prices. My daughter was extremely pleased with her kite. Great way to have fun on a beautiful day!!!

my partner and crime were looking for something fun to do to get out of house!!! we watch wayyyyy to much on demand and it was a beautiful day!
sooooo, after some breakfast we went to this kite place across from haulover park, basically you buy any kite you want small ones from 10 $ to larger ones 25 $+…we got a cute one of a dog for 25 $ and we could fly our kite on the premises for as long as you want, run by the marina, there is plenty of grass… it was fun i don’t even think i did this as a kid. You take your kite home when your done and can fly it anytime you like.
the guys at the kite «hut» were very nice too!

These guys are top notch, Dan and Mike are great guys and were very helpful both over the phone and in person. They answered all my questions that I had confidently and took care of me like I was a returning customer. I would reccomend Skyward Kites to anyone. I called around closing time on Friday night and Dan stayed late just to make sure I had my extra flying lines ready for me first thing this morning. When I arrived, Mike was very helpful and knew exactly who I was, after talking with him for a while he was able to answer several other questions I had regarding my stunt kite bridal lines and connectors and even taught me how to reconnect lines. Awesome people and an awesome location!

Had such a great experience here! Came last Sunday and the weather was absolutely perfect for flying kites. The kites here are reasonably priced as well…(they start at 5 bucks) and the parking is free! The gentlemen who work here are extremely helpful. They gave us tips on how to fly the stunt kites and even helped us assemble them.
Cold refreshments are available along with ice cream too. Prefect place to bring your kids or even for a date!

I’ve been going to the Captain for yeeeears now! Even as a young girl my father would take our family to the beach to fly kites. I loved it then and still do now. I definitely forsee this place as being a family tradition.

Skyward Kites is another great local spot and local favorite. My first memory of this place goes back to ’93, driving with the family across Bakers Cut on Haulover Bridge and seeing a flying F-​ing cow. I think it had a tail that said moo – moo – or it was written on it… either way it got my attention and forever changed my childhood weekends.
If you looking for a fun, relaxing and beautiful afternoon with the little ones or just want to impress that lady friend… go fly a kite. And if you are in the water at the Haulover Sandbar on the weekends, it’s just f-​ing impressive fist-​ing a drink in one hand and a Gina-​rmous kite in the other.

so cool! i was driving around with my gf when we saw the kites… skyward kites has been in business for over a decade. ive seen the beautiful kites before but it wasnt until yesterday that i decided to stop by and check it out. i had never flown a kite before. never, but i thought maybe i should buy one so i could bring my little nephew to the park and entertain him… so jm got a beginners kite… (for only 10 $) the guy who runs this place was very talkative, very nice guy. he even assembled the kite for us and gave us tips on how to fly it. im all about kite flying now. its so peaceful and relaxing. we spent a good hour and half at the park. beautiful park too. such a beautiful afternoon
