Yum Yum Donuts

Let it known that I have a slight addiction to donuts, pastries, and well, pretty much all desserts and sweet stuff! Donuts though, have their own special place in my heart. I like to think of donuts as the king of carbs. The carbs above all carbs. In all it’s sweet doughy, high carb goodness, donuts are damn near perfect.
Too often, I find myself with a midnight craving for donuts, and as a result, I end up here since they are open ²⁴⁄₇. Yum Yum Donuts has your typical variety of donuts with a good quantity of each. They aren’t the best donuts in Bakersfield, and they aren’t always super fresh in the middle of the night — but hey, they will satisfy your desperate late night cravings, because, well… donuts are donuts!
This location is in a bad part of town, so lock your car doors and be swift. There are a lot of bums and hookers that roam around this dimly lit area. Also, the cashiers do not speak much English! Rosquilla, cualquier persona? Lol.

Ive come here a few times for donuts and they just bearly pass for good. They are sometimes pretty dry when Ive gone around 11am. Recently I tried their everything beagle with cheese and egg, but it was terrible. The egg feels like plastic and I saw the employee heat the sandwitch in the microwave.

Just the fact that it’s open 24 hours is great. Service is good, the older guy that works over night is really nice. Donuts are delicious, and there is a lot of variety of donuts and drinks. Of course it is not Krispy Kreme but it will do:)

This place is awful their donuts are either dried out or greasy. If you buy a dozen donuts they will shove them all in a bag so that all the frosting is all over all the other donuts. If you ask them for a box they want to charge you another .75. The advertise donuts they never make and if you order something they have to make be sure that it will be wrong. And if you complain about anything they freak out on you, like you are just trying to get something for nothing.

I used to always buy coffee here because I preferred it to mcdonald’s coffee but today I went in and got a large and put a lot of half and half in it because I was driving around for work and wanted to drink it pretty quick but as soon as I took a sip the coffee tasted disgusting and I automatically thought the milk was rancid but there was no cheese like substance floating around so I tell the dude at the counter and he starts getting all emotional about it and tells me it’s because I put too much milk that is the dumbest thing I have heard if you add too much milk to coffee it taste sour and disgusting.
Si he asks me if I wanted another cup and I said yea but he told me don’t put too much milk in it lol, so I put coffee mate instead of half and half and it tasted just as bad the coffee tasted like they added lemon to it, it was sour and awful and since I didn’t want the princess working the register to throw another fit I just dipped out but I only took two sips and my stomach started hurting so I tossed it and went to get some mcdonald’s coffee.
The dude was acting like I was trying to get over on him with a cup of coffee, c’mon man lol I will never buy anything from this place again not so much because the coffee was scandalous but because this dude was acting like I was trying to come up on a cup of coffee that costs $ 1.79 lol.

I wanted to go to Rainbow donuts, but they were already closed. So off to Yum Yum Donuts I went.
I bought one of my two favorite donuts. The custard filled chocolate donut cost me 94 cents. Got to say that it was pretty darn good and did not taste old. Not as good as Rainbow Donuts or Sugar Twist bakery, but still yummy.
They offer all kinds of other goodies here. The display cases were filled to the max! Surprising for an afternoon. Most donut shops in town would be either closed at the that time of the day or their display cases would be almost empty. Looks like they make their donuts here at different times than the competition.
I’d stop in again if Rainbow donuts down the street is closed for the day.

Always a good choice for donuts and coffee never tried anything else on the menu yet, the only con is it’s located right smack in the area were there is quite a few homeless and some prostitutes down the street (obvious) so be careful:)

Bad customer service and no public restrooms they don’t care if your a paying customer very bad!!!

delicious and clean, usually. first time i went in with my wife, this little woman who helped us burped out loud and without cover all over our order. she didn’t even apologize lol.
anyhow the donuts were good every time after that.

Great little place. It was very busy on a Friday morning. The staff was very friendly and moved quickly. The doughnuts were fresh and good. But nothing special. The plain bagel toasted with cream cheese was very good! Exceeded my expectations!

Kate B and I hit up this location on the Northwest Corner of Brundage and Union late one night after eating dinner downtown. Unfortunately for Kate, who only likes old fashioned donuts, they got our donut order wrong. How hard is that? Since we picked them up to eat at home, we didn’t notice the problem till we arrived at my house when it was too late to do anything about it. Lesson learned — always look in your bag before you leave the donut shop. The donuts they DID give us were wonderful: fresh, airy, with the perfect amount of glaze and icing on top, so I was pretty happy.
I still gave this donut shop four stars because not only are they open 24 hours, but they offer so much more than donuts. They have bagel breakfast sandwiches in chipotle, chorizo, and ranchero flavors. They have freshly squeezed juices. They have croissants, and muffins, and — of course — donuts!
There are quite a few tables in the dining room if you’d like to eat in. The location probably isn’t in the best neighborhood, but it’s brightly lit and we girls felt perfectly safe having a donut adventure here.
Would I drive across town JUST to pick up donuts here? Probably not, but if you’re anywhere in the area drop by and check them out.

They got my order wrong. To be fair I didn’t check while I was still in the store. Meh.

These people are SO rude, its unbelievable! I came here to get a couple dozen donuts with a coupon I had from the Entertainment book. It was buy a dozen, get a dozen free. I handed the lady my coupon and she said she couldn’t accept it. I asked why. She said hold on and went to talk to someone in the back. She came back and again said she couldn’t accept it, but wouldn’t give me a reason why. I kept asking why and she was literally just staring at me shaking her head.
She said hold on, went to talk to someone in the back, came back to me and again said no we can’t take this coupon in the morning! There is obvi no specific time limit stated on the coupon. Then she said we can’t take this coupon at this location. I turned the coupon around and showed her the back of the coupon that says ‘At ALL locations’. She stood there staring at me, shaking her head again.
After standing there for what seemed like forever, she probably realized I was not going to give up, she threw her arms up, grabbed a donut box, and said fine. what donuts do you want?
I was so irritated first of all bc I don’t live anywhere near this donut shop So rude, the most aweful experience any place I have EVER had!
