I normally don’t leave reviews for anything unless the experience is phenomenal or ridiculously disastrous. In this case, it’s the latter. I had heard great things about Window Sill Pie Co. from friends and colleagues; I was dying to try their pies. So, you can imagine my joy when I saw WSPC was offering a Groupon special. I purchased two Groupons, each for a single, whole pie. I was aware that WSPC does not have a storefront but offers their goods weekly at two different local farmer’s markets; I didn’t forsee this to be an issue. The time came and I was ready to redeem my Groupon vouchers. The instructions indicate you must call and pre-order your pie at least 3 days in advance for pick up on either Saturday or Sunday at the farmer’s market. I called the phone number listed on the Groupon and left a message; I never received a reply. I tried again five more times, leaving messages and even texting the mobile number listed. I Googled WSPC and visited the website listed. It says it is «under construction» and to call the number that I had been calling for two weeks. I found WSPC on social media sites as well. I figured maybe messaging through Facebook would elicit a reply, no luck. It has now been over three weeks since I first tried to redeem my voucher. Ultimately, I decided that I no longer wish to try to do business with WSPC. I contacted Groupon this morning and was issued a refund for the vouchers. Groupon was apologetic and even issued extra Groupon bucks for the negative experience. I hope that this is an isolated occurrence and that WSPC gets their act together.

Needed a chocolate cream pie, called Window Sill and they whipped one right up for pick up at the farmers market:) Very fresh tasting and not too sweet. I’ll buy from Window Sill whenever in town.

I stumbled upon the Window Sill Pie Co. one Saturday at the Brimhall Farmers Market. They did not have a large selection left from which to choose. I decided to try one of their little Apple pies! This All-American classic is one of my favorite desserts of all time! Their small version was $ 3. I thought that it tasted alright. Not mind blowing by any means, but still good. I would buy it again. I look forward to trying more of their pies in the future. Their Pecan pie sounds amazing. I am not a fan of Window Sill Pie Company yet. After a couple more visits, I have a feeling that may change in the future. This stand at the Farmers Market has a lot of potential. Til then 3.5 stars.

«LETTHEMEATPIE!» This is exactly what Marie Antoinette would be declaring from the top of her lungs if she were alive today. Cake? Who needs it? Not when you have pie! Pie has always played second fiddle to cake, especially at celebratory events. I mean, have you ever heard of birthday or wedding pie? I certainly have not! However, after consuming several slices(I just couldn’t stop at one!) from Window Sill Pie Co., my opinion has been forever changed. WSPC is a popular destination for those attending First Friday and weekend Farmers Markets. I had heard whispers of their pie goodness, but never could get myself out there to try for myself. Until one day, I researched their offerings and found out they were allowing pickup orders from their kitchen in the old Natures Garden storefront during the Holidays. And so began my quest for delicious pie. I placed the order via phone and was received with such pleasantness; I almost thought I was speaking with a long lost friend. I chose the Salted Caramel Apple Pie. It was toss-up between that and the Sweet Potato Pie with homemade bourbon marshmallows. Because it was a small order, they said it would be ready the next day. Perfect! Even more convenient, they typically deliver locally. So now you can have your pie and eat it too. But we opted to pick it up since it was near to our workplaces. Come next morning, my fiancé picked up the pie. He said they were as friendly in person as on the phone. He also mentioned they had opened the garage portion of the business and were dealing out pre-order pies to customers with lightening fast speed. Once home, we gazed at the beautiful pie tucked neatly in its box. This isn’t your grandmother’s pie. And while we’re at it, this is nothing like that Marie Callender’s stuff either. It’s an exquisite piece of edible art, lovingly crafted, with just a touch of rustic charm. This pie crust was really spectacular. Buttery and slightly golden; it had such a true old-fashioned pie crust taste. With just a touch of salt, it simply complimented the natural sweetness of the apples. Somehow, Pillsbury has convinced America that pie crusts must be bland and hard. Not so at WSPC! The beauty of this pie was more than just crust deep. Every layer of apples were super thinly sliced and carefully layered. There had to have been nearly three inches of apples in this pie. It was simply amazing! None of that artificial apple gunk filler. Just real honest-to-goodness apples and caramel. And that’s really what this business is all about. Honest people taking their love and craft and making something to share with our community. Whole pies are in the $ 20 range. But they also make hand pies and have other offerings such as preserves. My only regret was that we didn’t think ahead and order more for Thanksgiving. But, Christmas is just around the corner!

Marah is an absolute delight with her pastries. I have now bought from her twice and I don’t think I’ll be stopping anytime soon. Her hand pies are a perfect balance of filling, butter and flakiness. The pecan, and almond plum are my favorite with the strawberry following close behind. Just recently tried one of her pumpkin cup cakes, and her apple cheesecake bars, it was incredibly good. She doesn’t over sugar her desserts which I can appreciate because you end up tasting each quality, individual ingredient especially the fresh fruits she includes in her pastries. I hope she gets a store front very soon because I hate waiting Sundays to get my fill. Will be ordering from her for the Holidays, most definitely.

The best pie in town! If you’ve already seen Window Sill at Farmers Markets in town then you know how good they are. Great to have a shop downtown to be able to grab a slice or a mini pie. The pecan pie is amazing but you can’t go wrong with anything in that crust!

I came in on a First Friday and got some delicious cold brew coffee and a couple of hand pies. My favorite is the Nutella one. Sooooo flaky and delicious. I also really enjoy the pecan. They not only offer small, single-serving pies, but also full-sized pies that you can order and pick up for special occasions(or just treating yourself). They always have a great variety of offerings, often based on what is in season and local, which is great because you can get an old favorite and try something new at the same time. I am excited to see what they come up with next!
