One of the less busy uhaul places in town. When we have to reserve last minute, it’s worth the drive to Panama Ln. Offices are clean and service is quick and helpful. We’ve used them 3 times now.

This place was just recently bought by Uhaul (boo!)
This is by far the nicest storage facility I have seen in Bakersfield. Not that I have been to a lot, but Uhaul is run down and always jam packed with their stupid rental trucks. Derrel’s is worse. The one unit we checked out had moldy wood frame walls and rat poison… not the black plastic rat traps but actual poison in metal cans. Very cheaply made.
Anyway, this facility is pretty new, every unit has an alarm which you arm/​disarm by entering your code at the gate. It is all steel and mortar construction and it is very clean. Prices are pretty reasonable too… we pay $ 89/​month for a 10×15 indoor unit and got specials for the first few months. Probably not going to get that deal now that Uhaul has taken over, but you can always ask.
