We are on a 3 week trip. After 10 days going thru TX, NM, AZ and CA this is the BEST food we have had! AWESOME burger and a salad you would expect in a high-​end gourmet restaurant!

Had the good fortune to watch the Kings game here. Had the wings and the nachos. It’s a nice place. Friendly staff, great parking. Wings were good, nachos were eh. They lose a star for a limited menu, and one for a limited beer selection. But they have Guinness on tap and good wings, so I’d come back, which, essentially, is the best compliment

This place makes really tasting New York Steaks at a good price and they have a full bar with plenty of large screen T.V.‘s to watch your sport games.
The waiters are friendly and you get good service.

Meh.
Notice how the last few people keep saying this is good… for Bakersfield?
Yeah, that’s because we feel like people don’t put in the effort to be better. This club reeks of half-​assery. It’s just «okay» at best, and it irks you. You know you’re being given a mediocre location, with so-​so service and ho-​hum entertainment because the owners had a «built it and they will come» attitude.
Shure would be nice if someone tried to make an impact with Bako nightlife.

Ok first time in Bakersfield and from the Unilocal review I stopped by and was quite disappointed. Slow (as in 15 people) in a place that should have 80 one bartender working the whole place half the TVs turned off. Menu looked ok but food was as best passable. I should have looked at the dates of the good reviews.

For those of you who’ve experienced LA and Vegas nightlife:
This place is good… for Central Valley standards.
In other words, this place is pretty whack the night I went there because lots of my pals around here claim this place is «the best club they’ve ever been to» but I understand they’re stuck in the Bakersfield bubble. We went there on a Saturday night and the crowd wasn’t poppin’. Me and like 5 other people were the only ones dancing as every other bystander loser there who thinks they’re the shit ’cause they got into a club was gawking.
I got in the club and VIP area free of charge and hassle because of my DJ friend but it was nothing special.
I hate clubs that don’t have a strict dress code and let almost anyone in. People in the VIP booths wearing sweats and hoodies??? YUCK!!!
But whatever, this isn’t one of those swanky lounges.

I’m not saying this bc it’s the only real place to go out in B’field — but it’s a really cool place to go out in B’field.
Good drinks, good crowd, and always generally nice people there.
