I was sent to Mt Vernon Florist by the funeral home handling my mother;s service. The service they provided was second to none, they had a great selection of arrangements to choose from and even replaced flowers in them so my mother’s favorite flowers were in the arrangements but even her favorite colors. They made everything so special I can;t begin to thank them. Perfect!

I recently placed on on-​line order for a floral arrangement to be delivered as a surprise for my wife. The flowers were very fresh and the arrangement actually looks better than it did in the on-​line photo. The flowers have been on display for a week now and are still looking good.

Tried to save time and money by going to Mt. Vernon florist today, and quickly realized why I usually go to Log Cabin! Don’t get me wrong the store was clean but the poor girl working there was clueless about plants! First I asked for succulents and she had to go in the back to ask what they were! Next, I asked for gloxinias and she had to run to the back again. After all that, the store didn’t have either item in stock!

I do not recommend this florist one bit. I received an arrangment of flowers and half of the flowers were dead and beat up. I kindly called and them them know that i was not fully satisfied they replaced my flowers, they looked better but half of the flowers were still looking beat and old. I called to speak to the manager and kindly explained the situation again and he stated he put the arrangement himself and that the flowers were as fresh as can be and were delivered to him this morning. I do not recomend this place and they have just lost a returning customer.

After ordering a money tree to be delivered to my boyfriend’s office there was some confusion and the driver, without my authorization, delivered it to a different address. The surprise was absolutely ruined and though they had offered to pick it up the next morning and redeliver, my boyfriend had to pick it up himself. I called and asked for a refund on the delivery fee which I was granted, but the ladies I spoke to were short and argumentative and hung up on me after saying «we are really busy!»
I will be using a different local florist for any future purchases.

My 100th review!
The Passionate Purple Tulips bouquet (
) immediately captured my eye. Purple happens to be my moms favorite color; Amethyst, her birthstone.
Mt Vernon Florist’s advertises «Same day delivery on ALL bouquet’s,» perfect for my last minute order. I placed my order online last night only to receive a call this morning they have every color but purple.
The gentleman on the other end of the line was proactive and kind, he did have a bunch of other optional colors; Pink seemed like a good second option.
Waiting to see how delivery goes. Whether it’s purple, yellow & orange, or pink whats most important is the element of surprise and the joy that I hope it brings my mom on her day!
