Kern Schools Federal Credit Union

This place has horrible customer service, from the tellers to mangers! They are completely rude and have no basic customer service etiquette. I asked for a simple task which every bank can do and was treated awful, and pretty much told to wait and I would get it when i get it. Will discontinue banking with them and would not recommend there bank to anyone.

We have banked with KSFCU since dinosaurs roamed the earth. We have always been treated efficiently and courteously. I especially love the location of the River Run branch — so convenient. Whether in person, on the phone, in line, or ATM, KSFCU gets the job done and done well! And the senior checking perks are fabulous.

Do business locally!!! Well… This local Credit Union hates me as a customer! Have been turned down for any loan I apply for. I have 5 years of solid credit history. (High limit CC’s with WF and Citi Bank) Never had any issues with my checking account while being a KSFCU customer. Seriously!
On the other hand, Matadors CCU in Northridge Ca loves me. They refinanced my high interest WF auto loan. So… I moved my checking and savings to MCCU. Kern Schools COOp ATMs on every corner in Bako. Works for me!

Credit union? This place is worse than most banks, stick your money in a different credit union or bank. Not a fan of the attitude and lack of customer service either, I get much better service and respect at the DMV

I’ve been a KSCFU member since my Grandma opened an account for me at birth. The River Run location is the closest to home so I end up here quite frequently.
The parking lot is a little tight so there are certain days of the month and times of the day is just plain difficult to access the bank.
On the plus side there have always been plenty of super friendly tellers working and with 2 drove thru ATM’s things tend to move pretty quickly.
This location along with their mobile app have kept me a happy member.

People are soooo RUDE!!! I have Wells Fargo and was considering switching accounts. Bank tellers here really need some customer service training.

This is by far the most difficult bank I have ever dealt with. I have a car loan with them. In the past, when I tried to pay more than the minimum payment, they applied the extra $ to the interest owed rather than the principal! I then sent a letter with my check asking them to apply the extra to the principal, but my letter «went to a different department than the check» and was never read. My final attempt was to staple the check to the letter. At this, they finally obliged.
I would pay over the phone (as I live in a different city than when I first bought the car), but they charge $ 15 to pay over the phone! So I’m stuck with the out-​of-​date method of sending a check every month, stapled to a letter.

I know their financial advisors. I helped train them on investments. Larry Braley and Dustin Weaver and Jim Hussey are ethical, reliable, of high integrity and they care. I believe you will be well taken care of with their investment and retirement needs. If you like working with someone who cares about you as a person, then consider sitting down with them.

This location is super convenient, because it’s right by my house. But I only use ATM when going to this location. EVERY time I’ve gone in has been a bad experience. Tellers have rolled their eyes, let out loud irritated sighs at customers. Just really rude. The girls at the desk by the doors are always nice, but that customer service desk is horrid. I found a card in the ATM today and tried to take it inside. They were closed, but a bunch of employees were inside. I knocked on the window and even waved the card around and they seriously just kept shooing me away. So much for «helpful tellers». It took almost 5 minutes for someone to ask what I wanted.

We opened a new checking acct with a large sum of money and we’re there for 2 ½ hours only to find out that only a portion of our funds could be accessed for business days even though we had a cashiers check from a major bank. Not happy.

This is for the Coffee road branch: Rude tellers. I don’t know if They’re taking their anger on clients but they need to check themselves. But it is a convenient location. I will only use the ATM from now on.

This is my favorite Kern Schools location. It’s conveniently located on the Northwest corner of Coffee and Olive in the same parking lot as the Albertsons & Rite Aid with easy access from either street. The tellers are always friendly, yet efficient. The lines are rarely long — unless it’s Friday afternoon during the last hour or two before closing — but the tellers keep things moving so the wait is never unpleasant. There are two drive through ATM’s outside and one walk up ATM just inside the front doors, so the line for these is never long either, and I like not having to park and get out of my car to use the ATM service.
I’ve never had a bad experience with Kern Schools Federal Credit Union — no hidden charges or mistakes on my account. I have direct deposit set up so my money is always available without having to stand in line to deposit my paycheck — a free service I highly recommend!
The only think that would possibly make this better is if they served free drinks during happy hour, but then I’m just a dreamer at heart!

Great location. Super convenient, and over 10 teller booth thingy’s. Although, I have never seen more than 4 open at a given time.
Opened up a joint checking with the man. Took a little time, but everything was clear, concise, and no hidden fees.
Kern Schools is one of the best local banking institutions in Kern County. If you’re looking for a credit union, look no further.
The drive thru also has two lanes. Can get crowded after work, especially on a Friday, but I’ve never had to wait too long.
