Imbibe Wine & Spirits Merchant

First time was last night, but to be honest it was because I attended a Brush & Blush paint night event there. Ambiance was cool, kinda. it was a store but also a wine bar and they had some tables. They had little signs on each table for appetizers. A flat bread pizza for 1 person is $ 12.95 and then they had about 4 other options that were not appealing to me. No one takes your order, at least not when I was there. So, not sure if this is a fair review. But give it a shot yourself.

I just stopped in there and sat at the bar for 15 minutes while the bartender ignored my and served everyone around me. I was there to taste high dollar bourbon. When I asked for a recommendation, he told me he was busy and would get back to me. He never did while he continued take care of everyone else. I got up and left after 15 minutes and headed to a friendlier joint, Lengthwise II. I will never go back the Imbibe. I have never been treated more rudely at an establishment such as this.

Love Imbibe. They have a great selection of Craft Beers and the little kitchen they have can produce some tasty treats. We usually go when there is a Craft Beer release or if our friends band is playing bluegrass music. The only issue is it is very small inside and if you want to go outside you have to contend with people smoking.

Always liked this place.
Some of the wine prices are unbeatable, even by Costco.
I keep a wine locker at Imbibe, and have my cellar club shipments sent directly there. They are happy to receive them.

This place is awesome. The service is amazing. The bartender we had the pleasure of enjoying was kevin. His knowledge and personality gave my night out something to brag about. He had me trying different beers that I would have never thought I would enjoy. Great expirence! Will totally be going back

There is a reason Imbibe has a regular customer base. Their selections of wines, beer, and spirits are extensive. They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff. And they serve it up with fun events tailored to all clintele, whether it’s a cheaper beer flight or a much more upscale wine event. Their offerings are varied, and for a dark and sour beer loving person, it’s refreshing to see a place that has embraced more than just the IPA fans. Draft beers are reasonably priced, as are the bottles in the fridge. if you’re looking for some affordable table wines for your next dinner party, the 6 for $ 60 section is a great place to start. We’ve fooled more than a couple dinner guests into thinking they were drinking something much pricier!
Food offerings are limited, but the focus is on the drinks. They do offer pasta and flatbreads (BBQ Jalapeño being my favorite). Prepared snack plates and some sandwiches are also available for purchase. And of course, the brown butter cookies! If you’re never had these melt in your mouth cookies from Cambria, grab a three pack at the register and have your life changed.
Overall, fantastic place to chat with friends over a quick drink or prolonged evening bottle of wine.
Bonus: This establishment is a fantastic supporter of local events!

Imbibe is a relaxing and inviting enviornment. The staff is wonderful, they have a great selection of drinks and the patio is cozy.

Great beer selection!!! The beer tastings are great. Staff is always helpful and knowledgeable if you have any questions. The outside area is awesome as it can get a bit crowded inside.

A great place to try new beverages and hang out with old friends, and meet new friends as well. Yummy flatbread pizzas and pastas.

We make sure to stop in here every time we roll through Bako. Craft beer selection is on-​point and they always have a good stock of Kern River brews. So glad we ran across this spot.

Fun place to hang out. It’s a great idea. There’s a bar where you can buy anything from the refrigerator and they will open it for you. They also have a wine bar, where you put money on a card, go to the wine machine, insert your card and pick which 2 oz wine pour you’d like. Great way to try different wines. They can get pricy. They also had some light snacks.

Thank you for being open at 10:00 AM on a Friday. It made the last leg of our road trip to LA much nicer!
Only 8 beers on tap, but awesome, because they have a zillion bottles of beer and wine.

This is my favorite spot to grab beers. You have to be willing to part with some money, but if you’re into an astounding variety of microbrews, this is your spot. They have a constantly rotating stock of great breweries like Stone, Oskar Blues, Rogue, Green Flash; the list goes on. Go in, get something you know along with something new. It’s also great, when it’s not too crowded, to go in and have a drink at the bar or in the patio.

I think I went at a bad time. Not much happening late afternoons on weekdays. Except a ton of deliveries through the front door, lol! At least there was plenty of parking.
One of the wines I was trying to sample clogged and charged my card anyways. Staff was OK to fix it for me but were slow moving. I think they were just bored stiff.
Tried sitting in the empty lounge, tried sitting at the bar and after an hour it was time to go. No menu was offered for their lite eats fare.
The highlight was the wine room and bar fridges. Wow, they carry a lot of stuff and I found the prices to be reasonable enough.
They do have a fridge with some sandwiches and cheese/​meat plates. There is a small shelf of wine gift items for purchase. I came across some red wine stain remover that I thought was interesting, had not seen that before.
I do not fault the place not being busy — will try back on a weekend. The experience just would have been better had the staff cared about the business that WAS coming through the door regardless of the time of day/​day of the week.

This is a unique and refreshing place. A great, friendly staff that is very knowledgeable about the wines, liquors, and beer.
Every single time I’ve gone in, it is been a fun, and relaxing experience.
As far as inventory, I believe anyone would be happy with the section.

Imbibe is definitely a great place to head if need some vino, beer, flatbread pizza, or just would like some evening entertainment whenever they have a band playing. The staff is amazing… they’re very welcoming and knowledgable of the products they carry.

Hooray, my husband and I were able to come to Imbibe tonight for the first time. It was on my list of places to check out in Bake, but we never had a reason to come until tonight. There was a Unilocal event happening in town, so we came to this venue to check it out. :)

The servers /​waiters were very friendly and accommodating. The storefront is huge too; plenty of seats indoors and outdoors. I wouldn’t mind coming back again to try the wine!

This place is fantastic, we went in (expecting the worst) but were treated well. Staff were courteous and great about explaining to us about the drinks etc.

I REALLY wanted to love this place. And I want to so badly that I’ll give them another shot. The wine selection was great and the prices reasonable. They have an automated tasting system that requires the purchase of a card. They also have a performance area with tables and chairs. A card on the table indicates that you can order pizzas.
My complaint is that I didn’t see much of anything that explained how the place worked. Apparently, the best way to go is to purchase a bottle, grab some glasses, maybe order some food and enjoy the show. We did get a card for the tasting system but the wines were running out left and right and were slow to be replaced.
I do think I’ll go back and have a better experience now that I know how the place operates but if I ran the place, I’d have a nice sign explaining the dining and drinking options.

This 5 star rating is because this is my first time visiting a self-​service wine bar – since visiting and posting my photos on FB, I’ve heard of many other in Los Angeles…
Regardless…this was a nice lounge type bar where you purchase a pre-​paid card to dispense your wines. Wine selection was great — I liked the freedom of having and controlling my own wine-​tasting event. Each 3 oz pour averages around $ 2-​$ 3. Live music on late nights — but they’re not open super late, make sure you get there before 10!
