The food is fine, but because THEYCHARGE customers to use an ATM card, and overcharge(gouge!) for fountain beverages, I will take my business elsewhere.

I had their carne asada burrito with everything inside. My burrito had beans, rice, onions, and pico de gallo. I can’t quite remember everything else that was inside the burrito but I can tell you that it was good. I was starving and it was on my commute from school. The burrito was wrapped in foil, placed into a take out container with 2 slices of lemon. This is a 24 hour place. So, if you’re ever on the road, you can always drop by this place for some quick food.

Looked at the prior reviews & well, the best choice. Customer service was great, food was comparative to the taco trucks at home. Salsa was right on the money! A definite returning customer! Thank you El Taco Loco!

Surprisingly excellent Mexican food in a drive-thru type restaurant. They are planning on becoming a chain, and it could work if they lowered their prices a bit. The food was very high quality though. We had the Carne asada, chorizo and pollo tacos and burritos.. All were really really tasty. I usual stop off 99 from now on!

All I can say is WOW! I can’t believe I didn’t try this place sooner?! It really is as good as it gets. Taco truck style tacos in a restaurant. My wife and daughter had the three taco combo while I had the burrito combo. We all had carne asada which was really good. All meals were about $ 9.50 which includes a drink. The cashier seemed like she was having a rough day or could care less to be there. She wasn’t rude just kind of blah. Didn’t detract from the food though. Do yourself a favor as skip Jack in the Box or the gas station food and hit this place up!

Pretty good Mexican food for a 24 hour restaurant. We pulled up at 2am ordered sopes de cabeza and a lengua quesadilla… Everything was good! The red chile was pretty damn good, you could taste the chipotle in it. Service was great, lady was very friendly… At 2am! That’s unheard of… I’d be so grumpy if I were working at 2am… Food was fast. Salsa was fresh. Did you read that right?!! Salsa was FRESH!!! How does a 24hr restaurant have fresh and damn good salsa/chile?!? It’s beyond me. We will definitely be back here! I’m not gonna lie, I expected robertitos style food and was very surprised at the authenticity and freshness! Food was a tad bit pricey… Only downside.

I visited this location at 10pm, which will become relevant in a few moments, and went through the drive through. I ordered the«Combo Dos» burrito and taco combo with asada in the burrito and chicharron in the taco. Honestly there was nothing special about either dish; they were both honest, straightforward fast Mexican food fare. Which makes them amazing. Hear me out. When I moved to Bakersfield from Los Angeles, the thing that I’ve missed the most this entire time is a decent late night fast Mexican food restaurant. A place that makes the food right, is open late, and is accessible to a gringo like myself who is just craving late night Mexican food. I often find myself coming home from a late night rehearsal, craving something good, but not wanting to feel like crap for eating Taco Hell or Del Diarrhea. So because this place offers straight up Mexican food and is open 24 hours, it puts it right in league with the Alberto’s and Lucy’s Drive In locations I’d come to love back home. My only critique is that the chicharrones were anything but crispy, and I didn’t find the gelatin-like mound of green chile and pork skin blobs appetizing as I was driving down the freeway. Otherwise, bravo, I’ve found my new late night craving.

Cleaner than expected. Employees helpful. Great prices. Easy on and off freeway. Kids bowl is $ 2.50. Similar food quality as El Pollo Loco but slightly more authentic(salsa quite spicy).

A drive-thru is available! Very convenient. I had to give this place a 5 star rating. Not only is it a Mexican fast food restaurant, but it really captures the taste of an actual sit down restaurant. Conveniently located off the Hwy 99 freeway, it’s a must try for a spin on regular fast food restaurants. I have to admit that the prices are kind of on the high side, but what else do you expect since their isn’t much of a choice of food between Bakersfield and Delano off the Hwy 99 freeway.
