I’ve been here on several occasions and each time there are some consistencies, both good and bad. It’s in a beautiful spot with great views of the orchards and a beautiful interior to match. The first time I came was for lunch with my mom. She ordered a hamburger and I ordered a chicken pesto panini. My mom loved her burger and coleslaw, and my panini was delicious and crisp. The only downside of the food this time was that my panini was the size of the palm of my hand. However the biggest flaw here was that we were treated like the employees couldn’t be bothered and made us feel like we were bugging them. Mind you it was empty and it was barely lunch time, long before closing so I don’t know what the attitude was about. Then when my mom wanted to order some wine, they weren’t being clear with which wines they did and didn’t have. Another significant time was for a friends birthday. They had given a small antipasti of cheese, salami, olives, and artichoke hearts. Nothing too great but nothing worth complaining about. They also had a small spread of sandwiches which were fine but lacked a bit of condiments as some were dry and others weren’t. The real issue though was when we ordered food to go. The woman at the counter helped 3 other parties, one of which came after us, before even acknowledging that she would be with us in a moment and then proceeded to help 2 more guests before us. Then when ordering, more attitude as if she just couldn’t be bothered that day. Overall food is good, just overpriced for some items that are small portions. The service from the employees though is what really drove this review down from 4 stars though.

Hidden gem, with great service, perfect portions and friendly staff. We have reserved the outside patio for a family event and everything was great. The views are beautiful. We have spread the word about coserees to family and friends and have received nothing but good remarks. We only wish they were open a little later in the evening.

I was told the food was good. I beg to differ I had a burger and potatoe salad both were pre-made grocery store quality the burger had no flavor and was rubbery I think they cooked it frozen. The potatoe salad tasted like it came from a tub. I do not recommend this to any one.

Great local spot. You have to try the lemon olive oil and the balsamic vinegar. We had the wine and olive oil tasting along with the Jack Salad. Good food.

Not impressed at all. The soft/hard cheese and salami dish was a joke. For $ 8 you get cubes of sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack, as for the salami? 3 small slivers! My 8year old neice could do a better job, we then ordered the steak, rare, we got a medium well steak with no seasoning or flavor. They presented it with a straight edge knife that couldn’t even slice an olive, I asked for a proper steak knife, they brought the same style knife, just as dull. We shook our head and laughed in disbelief. At the end they overcharged us $ 10. We won’t be back.

My husband, my mother and I just enjoyed a very pleasant lunch out on the patio at Coseree’s Deli at Rio Bravo Ranch. You couldn’t ask for a more pleasant location in all of Bakersfield. On weekends, they grill Rankin Ranch beef and we all enjoyed cheeseburgers which were freshly made and very tasty. Side dishes were also fresh and good. Service was prompt and friendly. We will return.

Went on a hike and decided to drop in. The food and atmosphere were wonderful. Our only complaint was the service; just a bit slow. All in all enjoyed our experience and will be back soon:)

After doing a little hike in the area, my family and I decided to stop and try this place. It is a beautiful setting. We walked in and were a little confused as what to do. We then chose to sit outside. Our order was taken quickly. We ordered a ham sandwich, a California turkey wrap, a chicken pesto panini, and a tri-tip panini. After sitting there for about an hour, our food finally arrived! Because we waiting so long, I was expecting grand and intricate items. Instead, the items were small and looked rather simple to make. I was also wrong to assume the items came with sides. What we did receive was tasty though. The waiter was not very helpful and seemed a little put off by us being there. We would have liked to try the olive oil sampler but missed it on the menu. If I knew our order would take so long, I would have made more of an effort ask about the sampler. It would be nice to advertise this more since the olive oils are delicious and their speciality. I did not want to wait another hour to receive our bill so I walked up to the register and payed. As I was trying to pay, I was interrupted by another angry customer who said he has been waiting a long time to order. I ended up buying some olive oils but nothing on display was priced. When I tried the olive oil at home, I found them to be very good. Overall, the flow while entering and leaving was awkward; the food was ok but we were not full after eating; the service was not that good, and the wait time was ridiculous. If you do not have a day to burn, I would not recommend this place. This can be such a good place. I hope it gets better.

Awful, just awful. Started with the waiter. He handed us a menu then told us to have a seat, in a very rude manner. We ordered the white bean soup and split the pastrami panini. The soup was so salty, could barely eat it. The waiter came by and asked if we wanted crackers. yes please. He brought 2 packets of Saltines and threw them on the table. 1 packet of crackers each? Really? When he brought our sandwich, it was on one plate. We told him we were going to split it. I had to ask for a second plate. He rolled his eyes and heaved a long suffering sigh. The panini had like 1 piece of fatty pastrami on it but was overloaded with pepperocini peppers. Now don’t get me wrong. I LOVE pepperocini peppers, but it was like a pepperocini sandwich with a little pastrami in it. The end of my sandwich had nothing on it, so I only got to eat about 2⁄3 of a sandwich. With a glass of wine each, our bill came to $ 30. Waiter got a $ 2 tip. I will not be back.

We drove across town today to have lunch at Coseree’s. it was a nice day and the location is very inviting. We picked up the menu from the counter and seated ourselves. After a few minutes a young man came and took our order. My husband ordered a Jacks salad but the server said they were out of Tri tip but they could put chicken on it. He said ok and I ordered a cheese and salami plate. After a while we got the cheese plate but no salad. After twenty more minutes I went to the window and asked if my husband could have his salad. He said ok and I sat back down. After about five more the server came out and said they didn’t have any chicken. That was terrible service. Earlier while waiting for our lunch I was looking at the olive oils and overheard a lady behind the counter on the phone telling someone they were out of chicken and Tri tip. I don’t know how she knew they were out of chicken and Tri tip and failed to tell the server or the kitchen so we wouldn’t wait for chicken salad when there wasn’t any. We got another cheese plate since we didn’t want to wait any longer. Poor food planning to run out at the lunch hour and poor table service. If you need something I suggest you go to the window and ask for it because you might end up waiting a long time. I tried to buy olive oil but no one was ever at the front counter. I don’t know if the food is good because all we had was cheese but the location is nice. We left disappointed.

Pretty quaint place. Got a gift certificate so thought we’d try it out. Very cozy. They make their own olive oil and balsamic. Tried to call our order in, however, my husband was left on hold for 10 minutes and then call disconnected. Gal helping us was a bit scattered. But overall a great place for such a long drive. HUGECOMPLAINT — took almost an hour to get 2 sandwiches. Not a good sign in my book.

Gorgeous location, relaxed atmosphere, great food, and awesome service! Had a panini that had tri tip in it and it was so good! Also got to do an olive oil tasting and each one was so delicious. I want to come back to do a wine tasting! I didn’t try their salads but they looked out of this world!

Living all the way out here in the Rio Bravo/Tuscany area, there is not many places to eat within five minutes of the house. I heard about this place on our Next Door group and wanted to try them out. So, we had an afternoon where my husband and I were available for lunch. So, we stopped bu around 1:00 pm on a Friday. First off, we were greeted and seated immediately. The staff were so warm and welcoming. The views from the different areas of the restaurant. If it weren’t so cold, we would of eaten outside to take in the views. This is the first time I have ever had table service at a Deli! They serve mostly sandwiches with some soup and salad selections. We were also told that they BBQ on the weekends. There were so many delicious sounding options on the menu that my husband and I decided to order and split two that sounded the best to us. We ordered tri-tip peperjack panini and the that’s Italian sandwich. As we waited for our food, we were able to check out all of the different selections of wine and other things they had. The sandwiches were pretty tasty, but did not come with any sides. I really liked the tri-tip peperjack panini; the meat was tender and the cheese and chipotle dressing were a perfect compliment to the rest of the sandwich. The that’s Italian was good as well. The food is good, but it is a little pricey for what you get.

Amazing views and atmosphere, great food, and great service. This is a great place for private parties as well. They offer wine tastings, healthy food options, and you can’t beat the location for a relaxing meal. I will continue to return and recommend to others.

I feel really awful for giving this place its first rating under 5 stars. It really is good, we just didn’t have the best experience. It has a very comfortable, laid back atmosphere. We came here on a Saturday around 12:30pm. The place isn’t very big and it really wasn’t busy. It took about 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order. They have refrigerated drinks which you can go grab yourself, so at least we had that. We started with a few award-winning olive oils that they press there. It took about 45 minutes for them to make 4 sandwiches. The food really is delicious but the portions are small. It also took forever for us to get the check. We didn’t get out of there until after 2:00pm.

Pat and I had lunch Friday and ran into Clem, a dear friend of mine! We ordered cheeseburgers, Pats’ with cole slaw and mine with chili. Delicious ;-D With our lunch we enjoyed their Wine Tastings; Reds, Whites, Chardonnay and another flavor that was really good. Cheryl kept our glasses half full ;-D The Rio Bravo Ranch is beautiful and quiet in a great setting. This is definitely a venue for all kinds of events and Coseree will take care of the catering! #BBDI is supporting others on PURPOSE!
