The chicken and the carne asada were lovely; meat quality was on point. I will be coming back, indefinitely.

I swear I’m there every Taco Tuesday. Great food, very authentic, and doesn’t give me heartburn (gotta love that!). Their chorizo tacos are delicious! I’ve bought tacos and tortas for friends, have taken family there for casual dining, and their service is good every time. It gets pretty busy during lunch time, so I recommend you call in your order. I’ll take pictures next time I’m there (probably next Tuesday lol), and will upload them. I need to note that the eatery is inside a small grocery store. I don’t mind it, but FYI. Anyways, if you want good authentic tacos, check this place out.

I loved the all the food at this place but recently the customer service sucks. The food isn’t as great anymore and the lady at the register always gives attitude. I bought a pound of carnitas mix and all I got was a solid chunk of pork meat with a big bone. I should have checked the food before I left this place.
I won’t be coming as much as I used to.

My boyfriend and I are always driving through Bakersfield since we commute from Las Vegas to San Jose, CA and back whenever we have a chance to go home since we attend UNLV. We usually only stop once on the trip and it’s at Bakersfield since its midpoint, and we usually just pick up some Jack in the Box or Burger King since it’s easy but this time we wanted to see if we could find something better. As I’m on Unilocal,this was the first place that popped up with 5 stars of 22 reviews (I noticed many places around the freeway have 30 or less reviews). Looked at the photos and read what people said; $ 1.50 loaded tacos. I love tacos and I love cheap, so why not?! Sounds like a great deal, and it was.
This is a little family owned shop that’s part grocery/​convenient store and part taqueria. You first order by the cook and he hands you the order receipt and you have to take that and pay at the counter then go back and pick up your food. We ordered 6 tacos — 3 carnitas (since it was their most popular), 2 carne asadas, and 1 al pastor. They made our tacos fresh and they also came with some chips.
I’m giving 3 stars because the man didn’t ask if spicy was okay or not. I’ve never been to a taqueria were they automatically put spicy salsa on their tacos. Usually the hot sauces are to the side for the customers to get themselves. I took my first bite and omg it was so spicy! Though it took me by surprise, I thought I could handle it. It was until I got halfway through my second taco when I started dying BUT I tried to take it like a champ and keep eating… And this is when the tears starting running down my face LOL. Omg I was dying so bad I could no longer handle it anymore I had to stop and make my BF buy a Yoo-​hoo since dairy helps with spice. It was so embarrassing since we were the only ones there eating. Their staff was looking at me, probably laughing in their minds. Omg haha.
ANYWAY. Note to self: ask for no spicy salsa or sauce on side. Because of that experience I wasn’t able to enjoy the tacos. They looked great and they definitely were generous with the meat. My boyfriend likes spicy so he enjoyed it, but as for me, maybe I could next time if we come back.

The burrito was very flavorful down to the last bite, you guys are doing a great job !

Four Tacos. Al Pastor. ASADA. Carnitas. And my first Tongue. Total experience simply 5 stars Tasty. Red Salsa spicy, snappy. But damn. That orange Jalapeños (?) salsa will bring tears to your eyes. So Sooooo much meat per taco’s. Guess twice the meats on tortillas as at Cinco Limones. Tortillas here great. Quite Corn essence, a snap of a texture (can slight crisp when grilled). Where as at Los Tacos on wible its really soft and corny, but distinguishly tasty. Los Tacos tortillas about 50%+ bigger then the two above.
Cinco L really have forgetable meats and overcooked.
Meats at here perfectly cooked, moist, and give lots of it. Al Pastor marinated. Carnitas lightly seasoned, tender. Asada seasoned quite HAPPYLY. Oh. But oh the tongue. Super fresh. Tender. And WOW… little of its Tongue fat will tintilate your senses… making you ASK for more. So memmorable.
I eaten Beef Tongue all my life but never before as a taco.

Ok. My drive was near 6 miles. But fast with the Freeway. Man. Im hooked with this Unilocal Foodie place.
But I must say Los Tacos at Wible Carnitas steals my heart. Especially if their Chef made that batch receint, So flavourful. Uncomparable or damn close.

A Taco. Is $ 1.50 well worth given meat portions, Chips, Habanero salsa. I THOUGHT only Santa Claus… gives AWAY Habanero Salsa to nonEnthnic Mexicans.

Ok. Maybe my English not good. Usage Chef De Cuisine. Whats that by culture, ethnicity? A fancy restuarant in San Diego, San Francisco with 3 to 4 Unilocal stars. Does that mean they have no Chef De Cuisine? Yeah. Theres lots such restuarants wt that lower rating. Carniceria El Amigazo has 5 total Unilocal Stars. So whats that. Grandma’s cook trainee? Or Chef of high rated Eatery.
Street taco tortillas 4+ inch size. Interesting I seeing today. man take 5 or 6 big dinner plate carton Foods To Go. In huge white plastic bag. Taco Tuesday Joy. I’ll Yum to That.
Burritos here tends Salty. Meh rice, beans. Sorry will not buy next time.
Update. Jan 12^th. OOPs. They got some new cooking area employees. Tacos had really tiny amounts red salsa. Carnitas taco lots meats. But asada taco had only half as much meat. This Taco Tuesday. Carnitas and Asada meats tasted awesome. Will not revisit for a while. Let some these issues resolve. Did Asked for cups orange Habanero salsa. Wow those were Yummm awesome.
BTW. Prior week Taco Tuesday EVERYTHING, 4 different kinds Tacos, were awesome. Simply Awesome Tasting. Portions good!

I’ve been twice now and LOVVVVVVEEEE these tacos!!! I have yet to try the torta or burrito yet. Maybe next time but I don’t see myself going anywhere else to satisfy my taco craving!

I’ve been coming here for over a year and can’t believe I haven’t wrote a review. If your looking for a good Torta this is the place. If you like carnitas this is your place if you like burritos, this is your place. Small but genuine love for the food they cook. You can taste it in every bite. Gluttony when I come (smh) I pig out l… pin intended… try it out

I am going with 5 stars for the amazing carnitas which made a fabulous torta!
The owner? Manager? Made sure we felt welcomed and gave us samples of the carnitas and ribs… My friend chose rib plate and it was good, but hands down, the carnitas are the star!!!
So carnitas plus super friendly people equal FIVE stars and a bookmark!

Delicious. It’s really hard to find a truly good taco and they did it. We’re here visiting family and they suggested to come here. The service was awesome and fast. The food was hot and delicious. We got asada and pastor tacos and sat down to eat. We also browsed around and paid for everything at the end. Everyone was so accommodating and welcoming. We really felt like our business was appreciated and even though it was close to closing they made us feel at home. Too bad we aren’t local or we’d be here a LOT more!

Definitely worth the money. $.99 tacos on Tuesdays, and the carnitas are by far the best in town. I tell all my friends about this place.

Hard working friendly staff! The tortillas are hand made which are carnitas’ best friend. Highly recommend for your healthy dose of Mexico nolstalgia. You can smell the amazingness from the parking lot.

If I never go anywhere for Mexican in Bako again I am good with that! Found this place purely by chance and good luck. Delicious looking meat counter, wonderfully prepped food you can eat in or go out with and I cannot say enough about how nice the staff are. This place has earned it’s 5 star rating from everyone on Unilocal.We got to meet the owner at the cash and wow — he will let you sample the carnitas! Worth the 20 mile drive from home. I recommend the tacos with homemade habanero sauce — finally, a great HOT salsa! Not a fancy place but clean and the Mexican music playing will make you a happy person. There is fresh produce and some imported goods. And beer! An easy 5 stars for me.

The food was fresh and homemade really authentic! Tacos chips, rice and beans to make the whole meal really worth it. Then add icecream on the way out for the rest of your drive hits the spot!

Found this place by chance. It is tucked into the corner of the little carniceria. Tried the asada and carnitas tacos. Tacos priced at $ 1.59 which is a little on the high side, but the asada was tasty. They have both green and red sauces, I liked the green best. The carnitas had good flavor, but were a bit dry. They serve the carnitas tacos with a cabbage salsa (shreded cabbage mixed with peppers) which was good. I think I would ask for some sauce along with the cabbage next time on the carnitas tacos. They serve menudo on the weekends. The owner was super nice, said he has just recently started the taco operation around the start of year. I will stop in again.
