I love Camille’s! It’s a great place to have lunch with a friend. Their menu includes pizza, wraps, salads, panini, sandwiches, etc.
Today I tried a chicken sandwich with a pesto mayo. It was so yummy!
Clean and comfortable location, too!

Love this café! One of my favorite places to go to when I visit Bakersfield. Their food is so fresh and tasty. Because I am a vegetarian I always get either the Sonoma veggie wrap or the Mexican daredevil hot wrap — substituting the meat with beans. Great place to grab a light healthy meal!

Excellent sandwiches and wraps and a huge variety.
The menu can be overwhelming because of the variety, but the food is excellent for a quick lunch or light dinner.

Cute place, but the kitchen is seriously in need of a deep cleaning and organization!!! I had the tropical kale smoothie. Pretty good, however tasted a little suntanlotiony…

I had a Gluten-​Free flat bread Zorba pizza & wow! Best pizza I’ve tried in a long long time! It had basil pesto, onions, kalamata black olives, cheese (feta &, mozzarella), perfectly roasted bell peppers & grilled chicken!!! & to drink a tasty
I usually take pics to post, as advertised food looks different from their sites; BUT in this case, it’s not needed. Their food looks exactly as the one advertised & the best thing is simply delicoous! check the website & if visiting bakersfield stop by, you won’t be disappointed =)

Long time fan, first time reviewer. Even in the face of outsized expectations, this now famous Bakersfield café remains quite an experience defined by friendly staff, delicious food, and a clean and lovely environment.
My go-​to order is the French dip sandwich, which I got during my latest visit. The roast beef was soft and tasty, the horseradish mayo was very delicate, and the French bread was crispy; it all just falls apart in your mouth! It’s also topped off with a delicious dip. My wife got her regular order of the basil chicken sandwich, which comes on ciabatta bread. I begged her to switch up her order and try something new, but she loves it too much to deviate!
I also couldn’t pass up the quality coffee bean brand coffee that they brew. I got my latte, and my wife enjoyed a dessert (a slice of lemon cake).
As far as I’m concerned, Camille’s is worth a visit at any time of the day. It’s truly become an institution at the Marketplace.

I’ve always had ok experiences at Camille’s however, I knew I had to go back when a recent Unilocaler informed me they were brewing coffee with The Coffee Bean’s brand. This is wonderful news for me! One of my favorite coffee chains-​now available in Bakersfield. And, the blended white chocolate dream I got lived up to my expectations – delicious!
Although, I do have some doubts about this place. The food is just so-​so. Plus, they have a huge menu so you would think it would be easy to find something that looks good to order but it all comes out mediocre. I haven’t really like any wrap or sandwich from there. And the chips and salsa they are accompanied by (that people rave about) are merely ok. The other day though I did try the greek flatbread/​pizza. It was actually quite tasty! So, there’s that…
Additionally, the past few times I have been in there is hardly anyone else there. Maybe 2 – 3 other tables taken. And, even with the low amount of people there they still call your name over the loud speaker once your food is ready. Why not amp up your service and take the meal out to us? It’s not like you are busy doing much else!

Always loved Camille’s but don’t get to eat there much since they moved to the Ming location. Was in the area so decided to eat there yesterday. Ordered the Napa Valley Chicken sandwich, my favorite, only to be disappointed. Barely had any balsamic glaze on it at all and asked for extra and was given a little cup of watery black stuff that had practically no taste to it at all. As far as I remember balsamic glaze is supposed to be thick? It also seems they have changed their salsa for the worse.

Great location and great potential for a nice patio dining experience, however the cleanliness is seriously lacking as is the friendly customer service. Food is fair, but the tables, counters and floors are dirty and the drink station has mold. Not returning.

FYI, I’m not a pro. I’m a normal dude who loves to eat. I started Unilocaling so I could help others find delicious places to eat.
I’ve been eyeing this spot for months now. I finally decided to give it a try. I sure wish I had come sooner! This is a perfect lunch spot. This is perfect for a light dinner too. The menu extends from sandwiches, to paninis, to wraps, to flat bread pizzas, and lasagna. They also have chilled coffees, smoothies, and pastries! I was very impressed by the menu here. (Way better than the menu next door at Johnny Garlics. Lol)
I had a grilled wrap filled with grilled chicken mozzarella, olives, onions, and red pepper. I couldn’t quite hint at the sauce it had, but it was a tangy flavor. This wrap tasted like a pizza with a bit of tang. Definitely tasty. The wrap was served hot and fresh! The melted cheese was perfect deliciously blended with the chicken. The wrap was served with a small side salad that had a sweet dressing. This was a light and hearty meal. Only problem was that it was very small. The wrap was as small as a 6 inch sub. I understand this is a light meal, but for $ 8.49 I expected bigger. If it were $ 6.49, then it would make sense.
We also had a chicken tender wrap. This was perfect! It was served with a side of chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious, but the chips were cold. I know they’re not freshly made, but warming them up would make a huge difference. The wrap itself was delicious! I highly recommended it. The sauce was spicy and gave it a perfect kick to go along with the fresh lettuce, cheese, and chicken! I highly recommend this dish.
Overall, delicious place to eat at. I will definitely be back!

Very nice lunch spot! They serve great coffee and great sandwiches and wraps. They have interesting pasta options for dinner. Great little spot for a meeting.

Excellent food, customer service, and atmosphere. I only give five stars to places that deserve it. The prices are a tad steep but the food is high quality, is fresh, and tastes delicious.

Not impressed with the panini’s my husband and I ordered. Maybe it’s because we are use to crispy bread but our panini’s bread tasted like I was eating pizza crust. Just didn’t like how it was too thick and too soft. We didn’t leave feeling like we would want to eat here again. However, loved the inside and the menu looked great. Next time we will try something else so we don’t write this place off completely.

Quick service and a healthy meal. Outside seating. The Veganinni is actually pretty good. Don’t be afraid!

It was ok. Nothing I ordered (based on Unilocal reviews) makes me want to come back for more. I was hoping I had found a new local spot but was disappointed. The food was only ok. Service was sub-​par. Everything was pretty basic. I told the young lady at the counter it was my first time here (their menu is quite lengthy) and all she said was, «Take your time.» And walked away… Again, probably not coming back.

I used to go to them when they were on Coffee Rd. But now they are a little out of the way.
So when by chance I’m over that way and I’m hungry I stop in for their Tuna sandwich! Yummy! Oh my gosh if you haven’t tried it, do! They put chopped apples and light mayo on really soft wheat bread and lettuce. Then they give you chips and salsa which at first I thought was odd, but those are some of the best chips and salsa in town. Seriously!!!
I believe that there are other things on the menu that are good from what others have told me but I’m a sucker for that sandwich!

My favorite place to eat in the marketplace, hands down! Their atmosphere is really cozy and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are quick with orders, but when things get busy, I have seen them mix up orders, like with my friend and his flatbread pizza.
I always always get the Grilled Chicken Pecan Salad because the flavors and balance of everything on the plate is perfect. If I’m really hungry, I would go with the Strawberry Breeze smoothie– which is pretty good tasting (and big! Usually I can’t finish it).
If you want to go for paninis, try the Napa Valley Chicken– I promise, it’s delicious! :)
If you are ever wanting something to eat at the marketplace, I definitely recommend stopping at this little sidewalk café.

Camille’s is my favorite place to go in Bakersfield! Today I tried the Turkey Habanero panini. It was delicious. I love how everything comes with a side of chips and salsa. What a great spin on the traditional sandwich sides!
This time I got a lemon bar, lemon cake, s’mores bar, and 2 red velvet cupcakes to take home to my family. I can’t wait to get home tonight and them try these delicious treats!

Camille’s was great, tasty food and nice food selections. I was a bit impressed with my sandwich, it was really thick, filled with goodies, and that tomato bacon sauce they put on it mmmmm. I was also impressed with my peach smoothie, it was REALLY good; a lot of times I get a peach smoothie from somewhere and it has that unripened peach flavor, I’m sure they enhanced theirs and didn’t use ripe peaches either but it was perfectly sweetened, so yummy, I’m definitely coming back.

Camille’s is a girlie lunch and breakfast café perfect for meeting your BFF for a quick bite of tasty food. As the name suggests, there is a large shaded outdoor patio with overhead fans, lighting, and black metal café tables and chairs and an interior area lined with little booths. Their menu encompasses a variety of salad, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, grilled wraps, soups, and flatbread pizzas.
You order and pay at the counter and give them a name to call when your order is ready. Sodas and ice tea are serve yourself, but they serve you the smoothies and espresso drinks. They serve lattes, cappuccinos, Americanos, and macchiatos both hot and iced.
Mom and I stopped by for lunch on Mother’s Day, where else would be so perfect for a mother daughter adventure, and ordered the Paris Bistro Grilled Hot Wraps, which was my favorite wrap when I used to frequent them at their old location on Coffee Drive. It consists of ham, Brie, green apples, spinach, tomato, red onions, and honey mustard dressing wrapped up in a honey-​wheat tortilla and grilled until the cheese is melty. The wrap is not very large, but it is quite hearty as it is stuffed with a generous amount of ham. The side salad was made with several different types of lettuce leaves in both green and purple and had a drizzle of light pinkish raspberry vinaigrette. It was tasty but mom and I agreed they were a little light handed with the vinaigrette.
Mom also ordered the up each breeze smoothie which she thought was okay, not outstanding but okay. I tasted it and agreed that the peach taste was not very strong. My favorite smoothie here was the blueberries Cozumel, though I’m feeling tempted by the strawberry coconut so we’ll see what happens on our next visit.
