I went to Boot Barn today about 12:15pm to have my hat reshaped and cleaned. When I walked in, there was about 3 staff employees behind the counter, none of them greeted me. I waited in line for their service. An employee kindly asked what I wanted for my hat. I told her, which she said the person who reshapes and cleans hats would not be here until 1:30. I was fine with that. She asked me to write my name and phone number down so she could call me when my hat was ready. Being that it was my first time, I didn’t know how long this service would take before I received a call. I ended up calling at 4:30 to check on my hat. She said yes it’s been ready. Therefore, what was the logical reasoning to write my information down if you weren’t going to call? This is unprofessional business. Management needs to train their employees on demonstrating professional skills/services.

Bought a pair of durangos online. They were too big, exchanged them in the store on 11÷5÷15. Yesterday 1÷20÷16 my daughter showed me they were torn at the top seam. everyone told me they were defective and to take them back. No way boots should tear after two months especially if they aren’t worn daily. Patricia who is one of the managers was so nice and helpful. Returned the boots and let me pick a different pair. Thank you!

If you show up in person to the Boot Barn in Bakersfield to buy something, you will be delighted. When you are buying, everybody is ready and willing to serve. I have had that experience several times. Unfortunately, I am writing this review as a result of having purchased items online that I attempted to return at my local Boot Barn. I did not have an itemized receipt(because you do not always get one when you order online). The cashier suggested I go online to find my receipt(using my phone) while I stood at the front of the line. I found this so embarrassing. No one asked for my email to help track the order, or anything else half-way reasonable. I was given the number to a Boot Barn SOMEONE, who never answered. I finally gave up out of total mortification, and decided to eat my 100 $ and put Boot Barn on the boycott list. That is where it stands.

They were supposed to call me when they«unpacked» a shipment. They call the next day to say they haven’t unpacked it yet. A week later still no phone call. I go in and no one knows anything. Poor management with lame excuses.

Had my first and LAST visit to boot barn. The store is large, they have a very large selection of nice boots. There is clothing and other accessores, but I was focused on a new pair of wook boots so didnt pay much attention to the rest of the store. Couple of ladies walked by and asked if I was ok, I advised I was. Found the pair of boots I wanted and went up to the counter to pay. Why only 2 stars you ask? Solely due to either lack of training for the cashier or simply just bad business practices. I had looked on their website earlier in the day to get an idea of what I wanted to purchase. They had a pop-up that offered 10% off my first purchase if I provided them my email. I promptly got my 10% off email which appeared to be an online coupon. Not wanting to buy boots online without trying them on, I figured it would not be an issue to use the coupon in the store. Well, when I got to the register I showed the cashier the coupon and she said it was for online purchases only. I said I understood that, but was there anything she could do to honor the coupon and she said no and that she was sorry. Well, I turned around and took the boots back to the shelf and proceeded to take some pictures of the boots so I could order then online. A lady came running down the aisle and said the cashier«agreed» to honor the coupon? I advised no thanks, I thought it was BS and walked out. You may say, «well it did say online coupon» so I have no right to complain. Maybe so, but I worked in retail for about 10 yrs while going to school and I know there is fierce competition for consumers dollars with the advent of this thing they call the internet. Most retailers are doing whatever it takes to earn your business and in my opinion there was no reason the cashier could not have empowered herself to accept the coupon or at least said she would check with her management. Most stores, Bestbuy, Walmart, Target, etc. will now even match Amazon and other online retailers prices by just viewing the same items on your smart phone. I digress. So what was my resolve, well I found the same exact boot on a very large online retailer, I will withhold the name, but give you a hint, it starts with AMA and ends with ZON, for $ 93.50 and the boots where a «Prime» item so after all was said an done, I got free two-day shipping(Im a Prime member) and the boots with taxes for exactly $ 15.54 less than I would have paid at bootbarn with the 10% discount. Bootbarn, no bueno.

I don’t have a lot of experience with Boot Barns as this is only the second one I’ve ever been to. However this one is far different than the other one in Chico I’ve visited. First off, this place is huge. Rows of boots, clothing and riding gear. It’s a country western mecca. Except this one is so disorganized, so cluttered and just downright messy that you could never find anything you were looking for. We specifically came here looking for a certain brand of boot to see how they fit my girlfriend. They advertise this type of boot on their website but yet did not have any in the store. The sales clerk was helpful and she tried to track them down in the store for us but it was a lost cause. There is just too much stuff and nothing is where it should be. I wouldn’t recommend coming here looking for something specific as a brand name or design as you may never find it. However if are into browsing and have a good hour or so to kill than this is your spot.

Restrooms were clean. Staff was nice, professional, and very knowledgeable on the items in the store.
