Here’s what I’ll say about Bainbridge Scuba Center. Yes it’s a quarry. Yes, it’s cold. Yes, it has pretty basic amenities. Yes, it’s a top notch place to dive as either practice or for a certification. There are no sharks, not much to look at, but if you want to dive, it’s close and you can do it for pretty cheap. Look at it this way, you can’t get distracted by cool fish(but there are some BIG fish in there), the water can be fairly cold, but it’s spring fed. Read the history of the site on their website. Almost anywhere else you go, you’ll be diving in better conditions, so those dives will be easier! Susie and Steve are super cool, but they can be strict as well they should be. My only complaint is the 2AM train that rolls through. When you’re camping, it WILL wake you up and you’ll think the train is coming right through your tent!

Cold, poor viability, and not much to look at. I’ve dived here a few times and can tell you that while there is plenty of water to swim in, there’s not much to the place. They’ve sunk a few trucks, boats, and other things which are easy enough to find, but not much not see otherwise, I’ve only seen a few fish. The park itself is pretty neat, with a huge run down processing plant, turquoise colored water, and camping site. Minimal amenities other than that, the entrance fee is reasonable. Good place to get certified.
