They did a wonderful job of cleaning our Belgian hallway runner. It had some discoloration over the years and Shirvan’s brought it back to its original beauty. Also their charge was very reasonable.

I can’t speak to the rugs but this is a cute little island store where you can grab souvenirs from Turkey like a chamsa or an evil eye bracelet. The merchandise reminded me of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. Prices are reasonable too.

Shirvan Rug is simply the best. 25 years ago, I purchased a beloved rug during my travels throughout the Middle East. As you can imagine, I was horrified when my housekeeper washed the rug — causing all of the gorgeous red dye to seep into the cream border/​fringe. I lugged that rug all the way with me from California to Bainbridge Island (I know — crazy), as I only trusted ONE place to fix it for me — Shirvan. I have friends who have purchased rugs from them as well (they ship!), and the quality of these rugs are top notch (as are the store owners’ helpfulness and professionalism). Very highly recommend.
