This company was great. They came out and gave me a quote. Said it would take 2 – 3 weeks from deposit date to complete. They were out true next week and did the studs and poles. Then they called and asked if they could come do the roof the next day. They stayed until about 7pm to finish the roof part… in one day. They a couple day later they finished the rope around the poles. This was one of the larger residential pieces they had done, 450 sq ft. They even came back out to fix a blown fuse. They were great. However, the 2 contractors they gave for electrical work and gutters were not, but that wasn’t a big deal because I found my own. I would highly recommend them do do your palapa.

Your palapas is going to be $ 17-​$ 19 a square foot. Always good to know. It’s not cheap, but neither is the workmanship. I had a 16 foot by18 foot built. I’m 700 feet from Galveston bay so it had to be built to code with hurricane straps and steel feet at the four corners. They just finished, and it is solid as a rock and looks beautiful. The timing was longer than discussed due to pulling permits and getting the inspection. Initially we discussed a week and a half. It ended up being 3 weeks. Despite that it is a beautiful piece of work. I doubt there is a better built palapas anywhere in the US. These guys know what they are doing. They lack polish in the marketing and customer relations, but do not let that put you off. They sell a really good product.

Gulf Coast Palapas is where I purchased a fantastic bar height table and 4 bar stools. A gorgeous backyard oasis and centerpiece to be sure The staff was especially helpful when I needed a replacement. My table developed a crack or two and their crew came through They stand behind their product. It was replaced and delivered to San Antonio. A big Thanks to Brian and Bobby (Ernie and Charles too). If your looking for the perfect tiki bar or a bit of shade, check out this place. They pride themselves in workmanship, quality, and customer service.
