A home-town favorite. I come here for all my Italian needs. The owner is so friendly and always remembers regulars, making you feel welcomed when you walk in. The fresh mozzarella is milky(never dry) and salty. Come in the morning and it’s still warm. The meats are great quality as are the frozen, house made sauces. The line is out the door on holidays, but the staff always keep it moving.

I grew up on Pastosas ravioli and thought it was candy I ate it so much. Moved to Chicago 30 years ago and have not been able to get good ravioli until Pastosas started delivery service. It is not cheap to ship buy WORTH every penny. Keep up great work and DONT ever change the formula for your ravioli.

Let me start by saying I have been going to Pastosa for years and love their food. I go to the store once a week. However, I just walked into the store at 5 minutes after 6p. I was about to place an order for cold cuts and the young girl behind the counter tells me she already cleaned the machine and cannot take my order. There is a sign in the store that they will not take cold cut orders after 615p. Understandable. For a customer to walk in almost a half hour before close and be told they will not take my order is ridiculous. Your customer service really needs some improving. I guess you just don’t really need my business.

Better than Gemellis. The sausage was superb. And of course the ravioli was without equal.

I went here about 6 times since moving to the area and 5 out of the 6 times, was treated rudely and/or delayed or ignored in favor of apparent«regulars» who were in line behind me. Can’t blame«staff» either because it seems to be the owners, father/son duo, who are the absolute rudest. The food was ok, but with many other choices in the area, I will go to one of the others(Salpinos, Joe’s Italian Market, Gemelli’s, just to name a few). I’m not looking to be coddled, but just to be treated fairly even tho I’m not mob related, ya know?

Best ravioli I have ever had… I dont even like ravioli but theirs is so creamy. I also tried the pancetta leek potato ravioli it was amazing in a brown butter sauce I made. Cold cuts always fresh. Bread always delicious. Mozzerella is warm just the wat it should be. Fresh pasta is perfect.

Pastosa makes the single best Italian hero in the world. Semolina bread with a little balsamic, shaved provolone, fresh mozzarella; shaved meats… unbelievable. They make pizza too… Who knew? Sauce is phenomenal. Got to get dinner there. …

I have been going here for 35 years and the food is great but the Ravioli is the best I’ve ever had, better than restaurant. The only tip I can think of is get their meat sauce, I didn’t care for the marinara sauce

Holy Italian Mama! Their ravioli is bangin’! Note: I specify… Their RAVIOLI. Their ravioli totally deserves 5 stars. Their homemade-mozzarella-made-fresh-and –onsite-2-to-3-times-a-day… Umm, not so much. THAT deserves about 1 or 2 stars. I mentioned it was my first time trying Pastosa and received the mozzarella on the house, which was super sweet of the owner, but I would have been really upset if I had to pay for the dry consistency and unsalty blandness of their cheese. Anywayyy — in all my foodiness, I honestly never thought there could be gradations of ravioli. I knew there were different combinations of cheeses, meats, and vegetables that were placed inside, but I believed that was the extent of variation. Pastosa certainly proved me wrong! Their ravioli’s consistency and texture remained«al dente» and never got soggy, while the stuffing was plump, smooth and rich with a ton of flavor. But the actual pasta’s texture — geez — yummmmerz(I am clearly a «texture eater»)… I can’t get over it! This time, I tried their sun-dried tomato ravioli, but I’ll pick up their pumpkin kind soon and create a brown sugar, butter, and sage drizzle for it. Other kinds that I happened to see included crab, vegetable, plain cheese, butternut squash, and some kind of meat. Fair warning: it can be a bit pricey. 12 ravioli circles come in a box and costs $ 7.99. Though each ravioli circle is pretty hefty in itself, you may want to consider buying an extra box for anyone who won’t be able to resist having another serving!
