Glen’s is one of the best places in Babylon. I love his place. The food is always amazing, and the staff are friendly. It’s the cutest little place. On the weekends, make sure you leave a little time because there is always a line out the door– but that is just to show you how good the place is. I have never had a bad meal here, they are accommodating with any requests, and it is my favorite place to go. Please make sure to check this place out if you are in Babylon.

Had the Idaho breakfast and it was so amazing!!! I had over easy eggs on top of a bed of home fries which were covered in cheese and mixed in scallions and I got turkey bacon instead of regular bacon it was sooooo delicious! They also had egg creams which I haven’t had in years and I totally enjoyed it… they lost a star only because of the service. All of our food came out at different times which was sort of annoying because we wanted to all start eating at the same time and we had four different waitresses drop off each one of our plates. Even though their communication amongst the staff was great because they all got our orders right I would’ve preferred the food to come out all at once. Also, the prices were steep too! 100 bucks including tip for four people to eat breakfast was sort of excessive didn’t realize a cup of coffee was $ 3 bucks… but if u want a good breakfast I will totally recommend this place the ambiance also was so cute!

A local treasure. The popularity is one part food and one part traditional. Just remember, cash only. Ask about the options to home fries(rice and beans or root vegetables)

I LOVE Glen’s! It’s truly a neighborhood staple and walking through the door takes you back in time. The booth, photographs and décor are simply classic. You almost always have to wait, especially on the weekends but it’s worth it. The staff is always great, food always delicious and your wallet is always happy after you leave. Doesn’t get better than Glen’s!

Pretty decent breakfast, okay service, but the thing that got me was that there were tiny ants crawling all over our table while eating…

Been coming here for years, but not as much since moving a bit further away. Maybe there was something going on behind the scenes, but the staff seemed rushed and preoccupied. We felt rather unwelcome. Worse was the fact that their house made corned beef hash was so dry it was almost powdery. If I made this at home and it turned out this way it would have been in the trash, not on a guest’s plate. The eggs were good and cooked just as I asked. Home fries were warm when delivered, not hot, meaning by the time I ate them they were cold. Lastly, we had several tiny black ants crawling around on our table. I don’t mean to suggest the place is dirty, as that is not the case, but not very appetizing breakfast company. Was it an off day? Hope so, but it will likely be a while before I return to find out. Really sad to report this as Glen’s has always been a favorite.

Love this place. A real old fashion luncheonette with a hometown feel. I had the Blue Monkey Pancakes, delicious! Light and fluffy and made with fresh blueberries and bananas. My daughter had the Traditional, scrambled eggs, home fries, avocado and toast. Must have been good, she cleaned her plate for a change. The menu was interesting for breakfast as well as lunch. Next time I’m going for the French Toast it looked amazing. We will definitely be back.

Brings me back to the times of a waffle house. Just good old fashioned food and cool décor. Make sure to bring cash with you as that is all they take.

This is one of my favorite spots for a cozy Sunday morning breakfast(and every day of the week.) The food is always perfect and every staff member is polite and accommodating. On the weekend there’s usually a wait of about 20 minutes. But don’t let that deter you. It’s worth it. It’s only that busy because it’s so good. Be sure to bring cash with you, as the dont accept cards.

I love the waffles here, they are the best in the world. There is nothing like the waffles at Glen’s. The prices are very reasonable, the service is very good, and you get so much food for your money. This place fills up fast and for a good reason. Glen’s is cash only, there are a few signs there stating that, so if you can read, there should be no surprises.

Like a trip into the 1950’s. The food is good, the service seems to be spotty as some think they are at a celebrity venue. Has been around for a million years. Place packs them in and if you don’t time it right you are destined to wait for a seating. The prices are a little inflated as well. However, everyone MUST try this place a few times a year.

My wife and I have been coming here Saturday’s for years — five or so. It was very good: food and staff. Loved their bacon. Last three visits were not good. It’s the eggs. They taste a bit«off» like they’ve been out by the grill out of the fridge too long. You know, that sort of metallic taste older eggs get? That need ketchup to mask the yuck-taste. If you have yours scrambled, you don’t notice. But«up» or «over» or «poached», it’s noticeable. So we’re going elsewhere for now.(Like the Carrousel.) Will try again in a month or so. If i wanted waffles or pancakes or bagels, I’d not gripe. But I want fresh tasting eggs! Hey, Donna, we love you, and we’ll miss you. It’s not personal, it’s the eggs.

WARNING: CASHONLY Came for a late breakfast during the middle of the week. From the start I felt as if I was being a bit rushed but didn’t mind. Not until I later read the reviews that it’s happened to other people. I ordered the Pancakes and Eggs breakfast special. Pancakes were surprisingly fluffy and had a nice texture although the Syrup they had on the table was terrible. It had«No High Fructose Corn Syrup» displayed on the front and no nutrition facts on the back. Was so bland and tasteless I felt like I was adding a ridiculous amount of syrup just to get a little flavor. The eggs and sausage that came with my pancakes were pretty forgettable. Price was fair but here was the worst part of my experience. No cards are accepted here. Having just recently lost my wallet I only had two credit cards on me(and no debit card), I was unable to pay my $ 11.41 bill. To get into this situation after my meal was terribly embarrassing but luckily the woman I spoke with was very accommodating and would accept me mailing in a check, which I will gladly do. Still, I believe it should be mentioned by the waitstaff before ordering for any establishment that cards are not accepted. In 2015, that’s a pretty pathetic way to run the business too, just comes off that you’re too cheap to pay to accept them.

IHOP is dead to us! Saw the reviews on Unilocal and decided to stop in for breakfast. So glad we did. Lines are a little long but it’s worth the wait. Such a quaint little place in the heart of Babylon. A hidden gem. My fiancé ordered the Idaho which seems to be a big hit. And rightfully so. The hash and eggs cooked to perfection. Seasoned and not overcooked. Our daughter had the smiley face pancake kids meal. She absolutely loved it. I went w a pancake combo and let me tell you the IHOP sugar hangover you feel for the day is nonexistent. The pancakes put them to shame. Light extremely tasty and not to filling. The eggs cooked perfect. The bacon was a little well for my liking but everything else outshines that. The Ruben seems to be another hit at glens and this family will not return to IHOP. Glens you have gained a family. If you’re looking for something like home glens is the place to go! I recommend everyone try at least once!

Why is there always a long wait you ask? It is because Glen’s is FRIKKENAWESOMEFORBREAKFAST. What can I say? I have actually waited in pouring rain, walked from two blocks away in snow and ice because there was no parking and also totally overlooked the fact that they don’t take cards which forces me to walk down to a bank and get cash because I never remember. You get a giant pass for so many things when you have consistently served so many years of really good food if you ask me. My favorite things are the«half hash and eggs» which is a half order of corned beef hash(which by the way is made from scratch daily and the best I have ever had) and also their french toast which is to die over I literally have to hold myself so I don’t fall off my seat onto the floor on the first bite. Its that good. I have never tasted french toast so good but i DID figure out a secret ingredient which i will never tell — -and besides even when I try to replicate it theirs is still magical. Im a customer for life here—

Great classic diner food, family owned by locals who are really involved in the community. Its a little dinette with a retro feel, which as long as I;ve been going there(all my life) not one thing has changed. Expect a wait with a huge crowd weekend mornings, but they keep things moving fast enough that you will end up at a table sooner than later. The blue monkey pancakes are great if you’re in the mood for something sweet. As far as savory, everything is good. Lunch is good here too, even the classic simple things like a tuna melt. Prices are reasonable and its definitely a Babylon experience.

I love this place. I have been going here since I was a little kid. It’s everything you’d expect from a local diner that has been around for decades. I know several people who will travel across Long Island on a regular basis to get their fill of Glenn’s Dinette. I can’t ever remember getting lunch here(though I’m sure it’s good). Some of my favorite breakfast items are the blue monkey pancakes(blueberry banana pancakes), home fries, traditional sunny side up eggs, parfait, and hash. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there’s rarely not a wait and they only take cash. Otherwise I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast just make sure you show up early!

Visit Date: May 10, 2014 I came here with hubby for breakfast on our monthiversary. They are awesome for breakfast. The diner itself is old fashioned looking but not in a cheesy time warp sort of a way it’s more a classic cute old fashioned. I had the Idaho without the bacon. I thought it tasted pretty good but if you’re a meat eater it probably taste much better with the bacon. The idaho is two eggs, toast and a ton of home fries with cheese, scallions and bacon. I couldn’t finish it because it was HUGE so you could share it with someone or take it home. Hubby had some eggs and a waffle. His waffle looked so much better than the waffle I ate at the American Waffle House in Seaford. It looked like it was different levels of inviting, crispy, flaky waffle, it seemed there was good dimension to it but I didn’t taste it. The coffee was pretty good too, approved by me! Hubby’s verdict was that it was good too! We’ll definitely be back again on occasion. One last thing I think this place should be featured on Diners, Drive-in’s and dives, so Guy Fieri please come eat an Idaho!
