We went on this boat to see the fireworks last night for the 4^th of July. The entire experience was wonderful! They let you bring a cooler with whatever you want. We brought wine, beer, and food. We came early to get good seating. We sat on the upper deck and had a great view of the fireworks which were amazing.
The crew was very nice and the ship was clean and well kept. The bathrooms were great — there is a separate one for men and women which is wonderful!
It was so fun to see the entire fleet of ships out on the water, and this particular boat wasn’t crowded at all! We will definitely be doing this again next year and bringing more people and are very interested to do one of their fishing trips!

I grew up fishing for fluke on this boat. I have fond memories of my dad taking me here every summer for years. It left later (9am) than most of the other boats at captree, so it was a perfect fit for the kid who liked to sleep in a little during her summer vacation. The previous owner (or owner’s wife?) was this sweet little Asian lady who would remember me year after year. I never felt discouraged or out of place while fishing with my pops and the crew of the Whittaker. This boat is ridiculously family oriented and has special afternoon trips for families with younger kids. Hopefully the new captain carries on the traditions of the old…
