Their spring rolls are bomb I enjoy the flavor of the fresh mint. I’ve had the shrimp phở and it was a bit greasy for my taste. Overall, good spot. Been here a few times and will come again.

Honestly the food is amazing! But the service is horrendous. Went to dinner with my wife, with no one in front of us still had to wait to be seated. Ordered after waving down one of the employees. About 5 – 8 minutes after that another party of 6 came and sat down… Somehow their food was delivered to their table before we even received our drinks. Get it together.

Stopped in here while travelling, based on all the high reviews. Well, I wasn’t as impressed as the others seem to be. I admire ‘mom and pop’ establishments and therefore make every attempt to patronize these places. The interior is kind of vacant as an Asian restaurant. Not a whole lot going on décor-wise. Large open room with tile flooring and lots of echoing. Even though there were only two other tables with diners, the ‘wife’(husband and wife team here) seemed preoccupied with other things and so service was slow. As others noted here, they have waaaay too much offered on their menu. They need to stick with JUST Chinese dishes.. . I’m just saying.. . We decided to stick with the basics. I asked for my orange chicken to be prepared as spicy as she could make it. She smiled and said«you’re gonna have your mouth burn».. .Well, it was probably one of the most bland orange chicken dishes I have ever had. ZZZZZZZZZZ Everything was quite bland in fact.. . not happy here.

I was very surprised how I have passed by here many times up and down Azusa ave and never heard about it. Thanks again Unilocal.I like how they have a variety in the menu. Everyone who goes can find something they like on the menu. Started with spring rolls, potstickers and egg rolls. Spring rolls were huge and good. Potstickers and egg rolls are always a hit with my kids. Ordered the pad see ew with chicken had good flavor. Can’t go wrong with orange chicken good not dry just the right amount of sauce. And we had the special fried rice where it’s encased in egg, that’s so cool. The employee who helped us was nice enough to do the egg on a different rice we wanted. It was a cool experience and we will try it again in the future. Check it out

Couwami dayo! This place is the mecca of succulent asian cuisine. I, myself, was born and raised in Borneo but experienced asian culture when I moved to Japan when I was 19 to pursue my dream of being a sushi chef. I failed. Then i found Couwami. Its food and environment was reminiscent to my times following my dream; the ups and downs and the good times and the bad. However, couwami captures only the joy and adventure from my time in Japan and makes me feel like a did something with my life. Thank you couwami for making me believe in myself again.

Really good«cook to order» Asian food. I personally enjoy the hot and sour soup, which they cook from scratch. Good Phở soup as well. Everything is pretty much great, from the Chow Fun to the Orange Chicken. Odd to find it in a place like Azusa, but we don’t question things like that. Tip: It’s a family-owned restaurant, so if you’re in a rush, let them know in advance or flag them down if you need to cash out.

I’m a big fan of phó and if you are too this is the place!!! Great selection of Asian cuisine! I have yet to try the rest of the menu but I can’t wait!!! For being lunch time I feel like they should’ve had a bit more help waiting on the tables. I believe that’s their only down fault. Overall a great experience can’t wait to go back and try something else!

We ordered from here because we wanted delivery and this place popped up on Unilocal.I was very surprised on how good this place is! With a huge variety of different Asian foods, usually the food isn’t perfect but or order was great!!! We ordered the pad thai, chicken phở, orange chicken, and wonton soup. Everything was great and tasty. Our delivery girl was super sweet too! I’ll definitely be coming back, maybe next time I’ll go in to the restaurant

Oh baby the food so good man. Wings are dank and the phở is so masterfully crafted and to die for. The restaurant itself is lovely aesthetically, although slightly obscure. Truly a hidden gem within Azusa. The staff is great, they really give you that home-like feel. And there’s no shortage of cute waiters! Just ask for Justin! Definitely gonna treat the squad here in the near future.

How the heck did this place get such good ratings? I came him here on a Saturday evening and load and behold we were the 1 of 2 patrons of the restaurant. The menu has a vast of different Asian food. From Phở to Thai food and I am always worried when Chinese people make Thai food… its never as authentic and as delicious! I decided to get the Pad Thai to begin with and when it came everything was WAY too sweet! So I decided to switch it to a Pad see ew. and it was just that… EW, well thats not fair. It was just overly salty. We also had a Thai Tea and for some reason that Thai tea made our tongue numb? What the? Msg in the Thai Tea?!!

My wife and I have been here for private events(baby shower and wedding reception), but never for a regular meal. We were curious if the food was as good during regular business hours so we decided to do dinner here. The restaurant offers several types of Asian food and usually that’s a warning sign that means a restaurant doesn’t do any of them well, but thankfully that’s not the case at Couwami. On a recent double date for early dinner, we ordered the House Special Fried Rice, which is a must-order, if only for its unique presentation: the mound of fried rice is covered by a crêpe-thin omelette. Other tasty items we had: walnut shrimp, steamed sole, broccoli beef, and crispy noodles with chicken. All were cooked just right and were delicious, with plenty of leftovers for our friends. Service was good, if not remarkable, and the restaurant itself isn’t exactly an architectural wonder; it appears to have been a Sizzler in a former life. Still, good portion size + reasonable prices = Yay! I’m a fan.

This is the only place I keep updating my reviews, because something good always comes out of this place and I want to share it. Sharon(or Shannon, I’m so sorry, it’s been a week and I’m forgetful), has always been there each time that we ate here. She remembers us all the time. We ate lunch here one day and our waitress gave us a free milk tea on the house as an apology from Sharon because our last drink that she previously made for us was too sweet. That’s just a big up for customer service and knowing that she takes the time to satisfy her customers is a 6 star rating to me(I am only allowed to give 5 though :(). Shout out to Sharon(Shannon? I’m sorry!) for being awesome. Also, thank you for the extra salad each time my boyfriend orders a lunch special!

Fresh aroma of cooked food. Well now I kinda like this place. It’s has a large good seating area and I noticed that the area was very clean. Our waitress sat us down and we ordered our drinks, They had many appetizers and different varieties of fusion plates. Hard for me to choose from and I really didn’t know what to order. We wern’t that hungry and the food that we ordered was tasty. Will be back when I’m more hungry and will definitly eat up the place. inside of place kinda tasty… definitly different my chicken skewers were delicious soup was very good but I bit into a pepper that was hotter then the rest… YIKES!

Came Sunday night at 9 pm because Unilocal said they were open. «We closed to clean up» she says. Taking my party of 5 to Max’s. Too much poor service over the last few years. Slow service at the tables during my previous visits. Waiting and waiting for refills and to check on us… Guess we are done here. It would really be nice for a business to Update its Unilocal or turn off the open sign. It’s not too much to ask since the customer is the one paying.

So I ate here again! Love this place! Not only is it reasonably priced, but the people are ever so friendly to me and my family. No matter what I order the food is always on point. It is never ever a disappointment! If there is something you dont like, then tell them. They will gladly fix it for you. If you want extra of something, they dont nickle and dime you for everything. This place is great. This place doesnt even need to advertise because word of mouth spreads like wildfire. This place has lasted longer than the rinkydink retaruants that used to be here. The décor is relaxing… very nice. I was invited to the waitresses after baby baby-shower! She invited all the regular customers and even when we didnt know each other, we were like one big happy family! Her baby is the cutest there is! Waitresses are: Sharon Lana Selina. We sang karaōke. They shut Couwami down so they could have this private party. The owners always come to ask how I am doing. Asking about my school. Asking about my family! Been coming here for years and once my family grows, they will become a part of it too. Most of Azusa’s city employees dine here. I work for the county and bump into my friends here most of the time! Couwami is a huuuge staple for Azusa. They almost border Covina, but Azusa was lucky to snag them. This is NO fast food joint. Panda couldnt hold a candle to this place. For all of those people who find the employees of couwami«rude» or whatever, just get to know them! There is great customer service here. If one stops to think about their day and find it pretty rough, or there are a lot of customers, sometimes we need to think how they feel. Ive never felt at home anywhere in a restaruant, much less a Chinese restaruant! These Couwami people are here and aim to please not only you, but your taste buds.

I had such a delicious dinner here tonight. My boyfriend and I wanted Chinese food for dinner but didn’t know where to go around the area. We searched on Unilocal, found this place, and figured we’d give it a try. The interior looks pretty new and clean. I’m not sure how long this restaurant has been at this location but they do a good job at maintaining it. There’s TVs inside too! The menu is big– Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese… It’s all there. That’s their«fusion.» We a lot to choose from which was great. We chose kung pao shrimp, Mongolian beef, and HK pan fried noodles. The kung pao shrimp was so good! Very flavorful. The Mongolian beef was very good as well, better than most places I’ve had it at. The pan fried noodles got an A+ from my boyfriend, AKA the biggest pan fried noodle lover in the world. All served with some steamed rice on the side and that was our dinner! We were stuffed.(I’m still currently stuffed as I write this, which is why it might not make sense at certain parts) The service was great– friendly, quick and attentive. Prices were reasonable, not cheap but not expensive either. They have lunch specials on the last page of the menu which are all really good deals! Overall, this place is amazing. I can’t wait to go back. I really want to try the Korean BBQ short ribs next!

This was my first time here! It was recommended to me. We really like the wide variety of Asian food/dishes«Fusion» the Phở is great, the broth has a good flavor, I also enjoyed the vercimille noodle dish, and the Chinese broccoli(the oyster sauce is not as strong glazed over). I would definitely come back to try more dishes :)
