I come back to this place because it has my favorite Chinese dishes cooked to perfection since it opened about 10 years ago. Their shrimp lo mein is the best and has plenty of shrimp in it that isn’t overcooked. Their egg rolls are homemade with pork and cabbage. The egg rolls have so much flavor and I recommend you get at least one when you eat here. Their crab Rangoon doesn’t have much crab but they still taste great because they are cream cheese filled wontons. The fried rice is fluffy and full of flavor with vegetables and bits of roasted pork, never greasy which can ruin the entire dish for me. I’ve tried the broccoli with beef, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice, and spare ribs and I’d recommend everything because the taste is fresh and delicious. The only thing I don’t care for is the orange chicken. The sauce doesn’t have much orange flavor. The service is fast and portions are generous, especially if you order the combination plate. You choose an entrée, fried or white rice, and an egg roll all for $ 6.50. This is a take out style place but they do have tables and chairs for anyone who wants to eat there.

I hate to give 1-star reviews, I really do, but in this case I cannot even muster up enough happiness to bump to 2-stars. Stopped in to give them a try after relying on my intuition for 2+ years to stay away. I should have listened. Young girl who was manning the cash register and younger sister in the dining area who were doing schoolwork on the table with books and papers scattered all around when we walked in let us know that this probably wasn’t the most locked on spot. We pushed on and ordered… Then, whoever was in the kitchen started a coughing fit. The hacking and coughing that came from the kitchen area made us almost walk out the door, but alas, we had already ordered. Our take-out we ended up tossing in the trash after opening it up at home and sampling the dishes. We sampled the General Tso’s and Chicken Egg Foo Young and both were not what we could bring ourselves to finish. Between the less than appealing taste and the mental image of the person hacking and coughing, we just couldn’t do it. Looking at the reviews it seems this place is either really good, or really bad. For our visit they fell into the latter. I don’t think I will be visiting again anytime soon.

Positively disgusting! Don’t waste your money. I have never seen Chinese food that looks or tastes like this!

Use to be the only choice in town. Last two times were awful. Doubt we’ll ever go back.

Ordered some food for takeout hoping for the best. I should have known better after the less than friendly person who answered my phone call to place an order. I picked up my food and headed home ready to enjoy a nice quiet diner as my family was out of town. I ordered the Generals chicken and fried rice. The chicken had more breading than chicken! There was barely any broccoli in the dish. It looked more like cheap sweet and sour chicken(or breading)! Then to top that off the put the chicken and the«generals» sauce in the se container as the fried rice! So everything tasted like sweet and sour! Not good. Barely ate any of it! You’d be better off going to Wal Mart and buying frozen Chinese!

Working in CA right now and really missing this place. Their crab ragoons are great. Also a big fan of their General Tao’s chicken. I try to go here every time I make it back home.

If you can get past the weird smell throughout the inside of the place, you will notice the generally unfriendly, unsmiling person at the front counter. This place will not make any small adjustments in their menu for the customer(example: you cannot get a lunch sized fried rice alone, but must order the large dinner sized). Their customer service leaves much to be desired, and the place couldn’t possibly look any less interesting. The food is okay to good, but this fails to compensate for the borderline rude treatment you get. I will only return if I am truly desperate for neighborhood Chinese food and there are no other options.

This unpreposseing hole-in-in-the-wall has a hidden secret — great food! The hot and sour soup is perfect; egg rolls are homemade, large, with a cruncy crust and so very tasty. Numerous dishes; too many to name all my favorites, but by far the Kung Po Chicken, lo mein and General Joe’s chicken are by far the best. Portions are huge; I always get my order to go(call it in first) and I always have enough left over for next day lunch. Very reasonable prices and lovely people who are working hard to make a living by serving authentic Chinese food — their main goal — give the customer what he wants with fast service and a smile.

Average(tasty, greasy) Chinese food. When I lived here I was a fan. Fair prices & large quantities… Delivery, too.

Wong’s Express is take out Chinese. The food is good. I don’t know if I would call it wonderful or great, but for take out, it is really quite tasty. They usually have a wide selection of offerings. The more common menu items are always available. For something quick and easy and can be healthy, this is a good choice. Oh, they also run a Do Nut shop next door. So in the early AM you can get Do Nuts and in the PM Chinese take out. It is next to Brookshires in the corner
