It was okay. Not sure I’d ever come back tho… service kinda slow. Rice looked orange, never refilled my water or salsa… only good thing about this place is the cheapness

Well, maybe it’s just our taste buds! We travel all over the U.S. And we think El Cerritos compares favorably to all the places we have eaten and better than many huge chain restaurants. When visiting family in Azle, we try to eat there as often as possible! FRESH AND WELL FLAVORED. Did I say FRESH!!? The chips and salsa are great. salsa more than tomatoes w hot sauce as most are. The chicken enchiladas and green sauce are excellent as well as the cheese enchiladas and chile relleno. Service is quick and courteous. The tamales are great. highly recommend this place… not five star décor but pleasant.

Poor Management. Don’t do business with these people. They will cost you a lot of money.

Tried El Cerrito as a new local option for Mexican food. The food was good, solid Tex-​Mex. The server we had was great. Very friendly and attentive and willing to offer suggestions when I asked about deciding between some entrees.
Plain and simple décor, it’s not going to wow you, but I can see it becoming a regular in our lunch rotation.

It is good food. It is not the best that I have ever had but it will take a trip of 50 miles to get that. For Azle and the surrounding areas it is by far the best mexican food you can get. The service is usually adequate to good. The chips and salsa are tasty even though the salsa is a bit on the mild side on heat. It does allow everyone in your party to enjoy it without setting their face on fire. The menu has quite a few choices and I have tried just about everything with pleasant results. I have never left disappointed in the food. The prices are very reasonable as well. I will continue to frequent this establishment. I almost forgot, during dinner hours they have a person making fresh tortillas right out in the dining area. They are so wonderful. I could eat my weight in them. I fully recommend trying this place out. Just be patient while parking, it is a bit tight and full. I guess there are plenty of people that also enjoy this place.
