I registered for the NRA Basic Pistol Class, along with my partner and my friend. We repeatedly emailed and called the instructor listed on the website– Claudia Stewart, to confirm our registration and she never returned our calls or emails. Although we were skeptical, we got up early on a Saturday and made the hour long trek out to Ayer, Mass to go to the class anyway. On the website it says the Basic Pistol Class was started at 8am. However, on the NRA website, it said the class started at 8:30am. We arrived at 8am to be safe and waited for 45 minutes. No one ever showed up and the class did not happen. It should also be noted that I had to dig online for the address of where the class was supposedly being held– I finally found the address listed in Ayer on the NRA website. Obviously, I would not recommend taking a class with BeSafeFirearmsTraining. My partner and I mailed a registration form and a check for $ 200 and have yet to hear anything from the instructor Claudia Stewart(thankfully, she has not cashed our check). It cost our friend $ 35 to cancel her check. Individually, the course costs $ 125 each! There are much cheaper courses offered in the greater Boston area and they have good reviews.
