The men that planted my trees were very helpful and courteous. They did a wonderful job and left everything immaculate.

Thanks to Debbie, my husband and I got the best jacaranda on the farm! We visited just after a storm and many trees were knocked down. She led us through this maze safely, as we had brought our 4 week old daughter. She was a pleasure to chat with and got us a good deal on our tree. If you head to Moon Valley on Indian School in Avondale, ask for Debbie!

Moon Valley designed and planted over $ 5000 worth of plantings, a new timer and new irrigation system. Over half of the plants died due to time of planting and their faulty irrigation system. After continual pressure they replaced some, but not all, of the dead plants stating that some had a transplant set back. We then ordered additional trees, yet they subsequently refused to replace a new tree which promptly died, nor would they do anything about the transplanted plants previously mentioned. While other nurseries give you a ONEYEAR warranty, Moon Valley’s warranty is only 90 days. We recommend that you go elsewhere for better quality nursery stock, irrigation systems, landscape plans and customer service.

We bought 3 sage bushes, a pomagranate tree/bush, and a Chinese elm in a box. The salesman was helpful but not really sure how much he knew. I believe they also work on commission so I think we could have gotten a better deal perhaps but I am not into negoiating but if you are, I think you could certainly do some bartering here. That being said, the product was very good and the planting was done in a super efficient manner. They had 5 guys and they were digging where we had the stakes put in as soon as they hopped off the truck and the first shovel struck before they rang the doorbell! The total time in putting in the plants was perhaps 30 minutes at most(all by hand!) and digging down pretty deep for the tree. They then preceeded to clean up and swept the sidewalk, put the decorative gravel that I had pulled back for the hole back around the tree berm, and picked up the few extra leaves that had fallen off the tree. Very impressed with the crew that did the planting!

Ripped off. The place has signs all over that say the trees with yellow paint are on sale for 3 for$ 299. Not exactly. Just the sticks they sell. False advertisement absolutely. The manager is a joke.

I needed to replace a tree that got too old and died. I wanted the exact same one and these guys were the only ones who had it. Bad news? Well, the size of tree I wanted was too big for me to plant so it was going to cost extra to have it planted… but I wanted it. So I got it, they did a great job planting it and then the wind came and broke the stakes. I called them and they came right over and fixed it for free. Great guys, didn’t bother us at all, just did what they had to do and it looks great again. Thank you Moon Valley!

We had a design consultation with Moon Valley. A woman came out and was very nice, but quoted us what seemed an exorbitant amount. $ 10,500 for about 600 sq feet of grass, 8 ton of rock, 200 sq feet of pavers, 3 trees, a sprinkler and a drip system. The sprinkler system alone was around $ 2,100, the drip another $ 1,100. She quoted us $ 900 for the trees, even though on their website they have a special, 3 trees planted and guaranteed for $ 300. The only thing we could figure was that she was working on commission and was looking for a big check. We found another company who did the same work, minus the pavers for $ 2,100 and our yard looks great.

My mission was to pick up some additional moon dust and moon juice. I had also taken a small branch from my tipu tree. Alex noted the branch and asked if I had additional concerns… which in fact I did. I have had a woodpecker visiting the tree for the past year and am concerned of some type of infestation. He gave me an email address to send pictures of the tree in the hope of diagnosing the issue. I look forward to hearing back.

Called and spoke to Eric who quoted me $ 299 for a 32″ box Arizona Sweet Orange Tree plus $ 100 to plant it. I told him I would drive over there and pick one out. When I got there I went straight to the orange trees and looked at the trees with the Moon Valley tag that said«Arizona Sweet Orange» and found the same trees also had tags from the original grower that said Valencia Orange which I didn’t want, I wanted a Trovita or one of the other Arizona Sweet Orange varieties that doesn’t normally include the Valencia. I walked to the tent and was helped by someone named Justin that told me the Valencia was an Arizona Sweet Orange(no other nursery includes the Valencia in the Arizona Sweet category). I had found one tree that didn’t have a Valencia tag and just said Arizona Sweet Orange and asked what that was and he said«probably a Trovita but there is no way to tell». I asked what the out the door price was including tax and having it planted and he said $ 600 plus tax. I informed him that I was just quoted $ 299 plus $ 100 for planting and he said he would only give me that price if I bought multiple trees. I told him that wasn’t what I was quoted as I only asked about a single tree and he said there was nothing he could do and Erik wasn’t around. I left without a tree and will be driving across the valley this weekend to purchase an Arizona Sweet Orange from another nursery. Even Moon Valley’s own website doesn’t list the Valencia as an «Arizona Sweet».

our good friend brought us here to look at some succulents & cacti plants. it was hot but they had a huge tent w/a mister blowing which was nice! the guys there were all very nice. Eric helped us and was nice and knowledgeable. the pricing seems a bit high to me but I don’t know much about it yet so I can’t really say. but this seem like a good place to start!

1 summer ago, I purchased 10 trees for about $ 900. delivered and planted. That was in 2012, and an outstanding value when I purchased it.(I know a lot of the places around here couldn’t even come close to that, or if they could, had additional charges to deliver and/or plant). Most of you know that the winter of 2012 had a lot of frosty nights and it killed 4 of my trees. I was mortified — in the course of one winter, almost half of my purchase was shot, and Moon Valley certainly had no obligation to do anything except sell me new trees. Figuring I had nothing to lose but a little dignity, I approached them and explained my situation, and they looked us up in the computer. But to my surprise, they were more than reasonable and we worked out an extremely fair deal. I spoke with salesman David Spencer — great guy! — and we approached the manager to see if they could help me. We were able to come to a more than reasonable solution, and without a lot of hassle. These guys are customer-centric, and I really appreciate how they handled the situation and stood behind their products. I got way more than I paid for, and I will be back, I will tell my friends, and I was motivated to share my positive experience here.
