Wow… $ 13 for 3 tiny helpings of side dishes and an iced tea. I was still hungry when I was done eating and shocked at the price. Someone is not being told to give a realistic helping or their prices are simply outrageous. Won’t be back.

Might just be my bad luck, but I haven’t had a particularly good experience here in 3 tries. Twice they bungled my sandwich so badly they gave it to me. But, to their credit, they did not charge me. The time I got the sandwich, the meat was tough. I like to support local small businesses, but I may give up on this one.

I’ve been here twice now. The food is good. Not sure what they’re «about» though if that makes any sense… I’ll keep on coming by though!

I love being able to buy a healthy meal that also taste great. I had the grilled salmon, vegetable medley and sweet potato hash. This is my second time visiting The Market at Avondale and each time the staff have been friendly and helpful.

I’ll still drop by for take-away chicken salad or pimiento cheese, but after«eating in» today for lunch — no more. Three scoops of three different salads. OK, but very little flavor, much too long to be delivered to the table, and way overpriced. I had the nerve to ask for some kind of crackers and they pulled out a box of saltines in packet — which had obviously been there for 12+ months. Totally stale. And the woman who rang us up was borderline rude. Not the way to win friends and influence diners.

Have been in the neighborhood plenty of times because of Second Life Atlanta but finally decided to stop by for lunch. I saw from an article from June on about the general area that the Caribbean Turkey Burger was one of their most popular items according to the head chef. So i decided to give it a shot. The burger contained a couple of pieces of pineapple, tomato, melted cheese, and a little bit of jerk sauce spread on the lettuce. While the portions were very generous, I’m not sure what exactly didn’t work for me for this burger– perhaps the use of turkey? Sadly, the spice just seemed a bit off for me, and I unfortunately couldn’t get myself to finish it. The staff all seemed really friendly except someone had to come out ask what I wanted on my «turkey burger»(saying that I didn’t check off from the ordering sheet. They have ordering sheets for their sandwiches and burger) and I had to explain I ordered the caribbean turkey burger(I don’t believe they have a regular turkey burger). The person who took down my order just wrote«Turkey burger» One other aspect I think that they may want to consider is having a menu with prices of their other side items(they have a price list/menu for main items like sandwiches). I saw ribs, pasta salads, quiches, chicken nachos etc, but no where did I seem to find out how much they cost(and perhaps what main ingredients went into those foods!-well at least for the quiches and nachos) I would be more likely to consider an item knowing how much it is going to cost me. All in all, I really wanted to like this place more but will consider going back and trying their regular/other sandwiches perhaps sometime in the future.

I don’t think they were quite prepared to make breakfast horse, but the chef made exactly what we wanted to order. I found this place by mistake, hope to find it soon.

This spot is an absolute gem and I encourage everyone to stop in! I came in today to get some sandwiches for my family while we pack to move. Everyone was so kind and helpful. There are plenty of seats inside and out for dining. You can grab lunch and a beer and watch the news inside or sit under an umbrella outside with some King of Pops! There are so many different foods to try. Blue plates(ribs etc), huge sandwiches, burgers, fries, fresh veggies, slaws, salads. we got the pickled beets and broccoli salad-both were excellent. My boyfriend had the fried flounder sandwich: great crunch, the tarter sauce was soo good and he could barely finish it! My sons deli ham sandwich was also large and he was able to save half for later. I had the cod burger and it was aweeeesssommmee. There are also many deli items packed and ready for snacking. Everything is very reasonably priced. We all three ate for about $ 30, sides and drinks included. If I wasn’t moving, this would’ve been our new go to lunch spot, this place is really wonderful!

The Market in Avondale offers an order dinner in the morning/pick up in the evening service. I thought I would try it for the first time today as I was on a tight schedule and wouldn’t have time to cook at home. When I got there the first woman that I spoke with went to look for my order, then another came and told me that they hadn’t prepared it. She offered to give me something else pointing at a hot food bar with what looked to be a bunch of a couple of hour old hamburgers. She seemed more annoyed that I wasn’t happy than apologetic. I can’t tell you if the food is good since I didn’t get to try it but if you are on a time schedule or expect for people to at least not be annoyed with you for their own errors, I would go somewhere else.

Had stopped here a few weeks ago and got a sandwich. Sandwich was ok but nothing special, but for around $ 9 I think you should get a bag of chips! I got a small thing of premixed orzo salad and it was weighed for about $ 2.50!

I love this little market! Such a great place to pick up a little bit of anything you might need, especially if houseguests are coming: pastries, dips and chips, a bottle of wine, even produce and high-quality meat. But this also a quiet spot for a simple breakfast, and their lunch offerings feel classic, but with consideration of modern tastes and needs. I am so glad that Market in Avondale is on my route home, and will be visiting often!

There is no other place that has little«niche». I’ve had breakfast and dinner here in the past week and have been so impressed. They cooked to order and are extremely polite and accommodating. The food tastes GREAT. Tonight I had their PALEO version(yes, they accommodate for paleo– using coconut oil!!) of broccoli salad, salmon and sweet potatoes, all for such a reasonable price($ 11!!!). And seriously– nice restaurant quality taste. I have already referred everyone I talk to to go here. They have huge cases of grass fed beef and pork pastures pork products as well, and have some originals that they’ve cooked/baked on hand at all times. They’ve done a fantastic job and I’m so excited that this addition is here in Avondale Estates!

What every community needs! I had breakfast on Valentine’s Day and was given a rose with my breakfast — a very thoughtful touch that you can only expect in a locally-owned, community-minded establishment. I was promptly greeted by friendly owners. Service was excellent. The Market offers breakfast and lunch. I ordered the breakfast special — eggs, biscuit, hash browns, sausage. Awesome biscuit! All of it was great, and they served quickly. Coffee here is GOOD. This place also offers a deli, many salads, a meat counter, gourmet ingredients, wine, baked goods, etc. Big Green Egg was stoked or on the front lawn to smoke some homemade venison salami. Smelled great. Coming back later!

Such a find! Had lunch there today and it was delicious. They have so many offerings. I had a salad plate of broccoli salad, chicken salad and cole slaw. The salads are priced by weight, and you can even buy them by the pound. OMG so good! Also offer soups, sandwiches and hot plate specials. You can order dinner and pick it up in the evening too. I will have to try this. But that’s not all. They have fresh meats, including Tinks Beef, and produce too. The service is friendly and helpful – just like your neighborhood market should be. If you haven’t been yet, stop by for a real treat. I’m going back soon.

Great little neighborhood market. They have fabulous meats and it’s also great to stop by for breakfast or dinner. They also make great prepared meals that you can take home for dinner. Make sure you check them out.

Great new addition to our village. I’ve eaten here and gotten takeout several times since they’ve opened and all have been positive experiences. They offer gluten-free bread for us celiacs which I greatly appreciate. My husband and I love having this walkable option right up the street. They offer daily specials, prepared meals for take home, eat in, and a deli with high quality local sourced meat. My only wish is that they had a barista setup but I don’t know where they’d fit it.
