I had never gotten a spray tan before and was in a wedding where all the girls had been tanning so I felt I needed a glow. I went in without an appointment and they were all super friendly. I had mentioned that I had never gotten a spray tan before and they walked me through step by step, making sure I knew exactly how to stand, what to do, etc. After, the guy told me that if I missed a spot, just to come in the next day and they would take care of it by spraying the missed spot free of charge. I got the clear spray(so it wouldn’t show till the morning) and was VERY impressed. I was not orange, which was what I was nervous about, and not too tan. Just a healthy light glow. I will definitely be returning the next time I’m in need of a spray tan.

Ok, I LOVE this place. Seriously. Let me start from the beginning — I have a serious addiction to Versa Spa(for those of you who don’t know — its the most fabulous spray tanning system there is — short of visiting an actual person who does spray tanning by hand — and develops into one of the most natural tan colors I’ve seen from a spray tan ever, think brown with reddish undertones versus ORANGE and ewwie). So, I’ve been on a mission to find a west-side location to feed my addiction. I was a long time devotee of Salon de la Mer in Mayfield; however, something sketchy went down there and now they’re closed — or something. My package at Salon de la Mer had me locked in at $ 65 bucks a month for unlimited level 3 spray tans with moisturizer. Decent deal considering spray tans run around $ 37 bucks a pop at most places, unless of course you visit Shine in St. Louis — which has the BEST deal ever. I digress. So, I was paranoid I would never find another monthly spray tan package, because it’s just not as popular in the Cleveland area as I would hope it would be, which is surprising since the company that owns Versa Spa is based out of Macedonia. Anyways, I called up Tan Pro on my way home from work desperate for a spray tan(I needed a new ID photo taken in the morning and a bronze glow was a must). I was pleasantly surprised to find out that their«Grand» package covers unlimited use of not only all of the UV tanning beds at their location(including the Sun Angel and Beauty Angel, which I’ll get to) but also their Versa Spa booth — ANY level, for $ 59.99/month. It ends up being closer to $ 70 after tax, but I’m not complaining. The $ 59.99/month deal requires you to sign on for a 6 month contract — if you don’t want a contract you can get the same unlimited deal for $ 79.99/month. What’s fab about this tanning salon is that they also offer, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly packages. No matter if you’re an avid tanner or just bronzing up for a vacation — this salon covers all your bases. Walk-ins are welcome! Ok, even though I’ve sworn off UV tanning and will only be using my «Grand» membership to Versa, while I was in the salon I was told about the fabulous Beauty Angel bed by Ergoline. Apparently this tanning fountain of youth(sounds like an oxymoron) is a great addition to an anti-aging routine. It is equipped with red light technology which can rejuvenate skin cells, help fade fine lines age spots, as well as plump and smooth wrinkles. I have yet to try it, but I’m a sucker for anything that says it will keep me looking youthful! Plus, Dr. Oz had something about red lights on his show at one point, so it must be true — right? I believe he said it helps stimulate collagen and elastin. Ah, if only. So, the great thing about this bed is that it can be used only as a red light bed, as a red light bed with some tanning, and a regular tanning bed — perfect for all clients. As far as Versa Spa options go — they seem endless. My «Grand» package includes any option, meaning — the primer solution, medium brozner, dark bronzer, double shot, and moisturizer are all available to me. There are certain combo options that the Versa is programmed with, so you may not be able to get the primer, bronzer, and moisturizer all in the same session. My usual go to is dark with moisturizer(if you’re familiar with the Versa at any other location — they may call this Level 3). If you opt for the double shot(I think it may be twice the darkness of the«dark») you’ll end up rocking it out like Jersey Shore. I’ve done it only once — and at another salon, but the results were a bit, well — wet for lack of a better way of putting it. For those of you who don’t know, Versa Spa is equipped with a system that blow dries you after your tanning session — but for a double shot — the blow dry just is not enough. Tan Pro has towels waiting for you in the room though, so no worries. In addition Tan Pro has the spray tanning staples, barrier cream(for nails, palms, and dry patches) and shower caps. To top off my fabulous first visit to Tan Pro — the girl behind the counter was NOT pushy. Some other tanning places I’ve been to, namely Super Tan, can get over the top with their«you MUST buy this package before the deal ends, are you sure you don’t need another bottle of lotion even though you just bought one yesterday, you should switch them up, make sure you pay the upgrade to use this bed because you’ll get darker» shtick. There was none of that here — just a very helpful Q&A session. Sooooo happy this salon is close to home and offers EXACTLY what I was looking for. I heart you Tan Pro, I hope our relationship is a long one.
