Locally owned sporting goods store that always has a great selection of soccer/lax/ski and field hockey gear. The staff is always friendly and because they play the sports, they use the gear and know what they are talking about without being pushy or assertive. I’ve been there about a half dozen times and have always had a good experience. Go to Dick’s if you want football or baseball gear. Go to Sartorius if you play any of the aforementioned sports(or run — they seem to have a nice selection of XCountry running shoes that I have not seen at any other Sporting good store) — you’ll always find a better and more diverse selection with honest service and an easygoing approach.

This store had a fantastic selection of specialized sporting gear. The employees are very knowledgeable and very helpful. I went looking for minimalist running shoes with a wide toe box. They were lacking in that area. But from what I sell anything else you may be looking for they carry

If I thought it was hard to shop for a bathing suit, now I know that it’s even harder to take a preteen girl out to shop for one. After checking online at department store and catalog sites and making stops in a handful of stores and phoning up a few more, I’d not been able to find a suit to fit our 6th grader in midsummer when most shops have only a handful of markdowns left in broken sizes. Finally called Sartorius Sports, where the staff said they have hundreds of suits in stock. Mostly Speedos, as it turned out, and what was in stock were about half pricy racing suits and half more affordable suits for amateurs who want a well-designed one-piece suit. Plus a bunch of lifeguard styles, of course. The co-owner there gave us great advice for finding the right size, not a trivial matter when a suit changes size once it’s in the water. It was great to have a specialist help with the fit.
