Salon Jia Li and Spa

Disappointing experience… purchased a pedicure for my wife for Mother’s day and set up an appointment. Supposed to be the «first appointment of the day», and my wife ended up sitting for nearly an hour before she was acknowledged. Did not receive the service that was originally paid for, and was not offered a refund of the difference of what was prepaid. Receptionist was not friendly. Sent complaint to management, and no attempt was made to correct the situation.

I liked the stylist but the atmosphere is not comfortable. I felt judged the minute I walked through the door. A redhead gives snotty dirty looks during the whole service and a blonde watches like she’s stuck in a Barbie box (oh, now I’m judging).
Try making an appointment and the receptionist can’t find you in the system, asks you multiple times for your name & spelling, then once she finds you and figures out that you are calling for an appointment it seems like she barely looks then tells you the stylist is full that day and the next date you offer. Hmm, then once I talk to the stylist she says she wasn’t and gives me her cell number to text her directly.
I will never go there again.
Come to find out the stylist I liked has left… I wonder why. They told me medical reasons. I’ve entered her into my prayer group in church. Something tells me though that since she isn’t there anymore, any ‘medical’ problem will be cured.

Located in a quaint shopping area. The staff was very welcoming and personable upon arrival. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Waynie is amazing at figuring out what’s best for your hair, by suggesting cuts and products. I love my highlights and cut. There wasn’t a feeling of being rushed and it wasn’t an all day process. I will definitely be going back there in the near future for my hair styling needs.

Nasty receptionist. Not helpful at all when giving out directions and nasty attitude towards new customers! How about the hair stylist can not dry your hair because she doesn’t have time. I guess there is a first time for everything. Don’t try it unless you want a dose of nastiness to ruin your afternoon.

Excellent spa and salon! I got my hair cut from Sam, and she did an amazing job. I would always go back to Salon Jia Li, I am upset I have to find somewhere else to get my hair cut now that I moved to NYC.
