We absolutely love Magoo’s! Our favorite is the think crust vegetarian pizza with cream sauce topped with Indian spices. Although, the chicken tikka pizza is a close second! If you like and can handle spicy food, we also loved their kabobs. Delicious pizza and very friendly people!

Great service! I have never eaten here before. I tried the chicken tikka. They aloud us to get 50⁄50 of each sauce and the best part was they suggested it. On top of that I did 50⁄50 of spicy and not. LOL so I got a ¼ of each. They were awesome. To sum it up: great food, great service, and they deliver.

The pizza is good. We have ordered from them On several occasions and have been happy with the food. As a side note their wings aren’t bad either. I l normally like mine deep fried but they way they prepare those in the oven is surprisingly good. If your looking for a break from the Rockville Rd pizza chains give them a try.

This place has some delicious pizza! I don’t care for tomato sauce and their garlic sauce pizza is great! They have a pizza called Chicken Tikka and it’s my favorite! Diced chicken, onion and green pepper with some great seasonings and garlic sauce ! The owner is super friendly and always gives plates and napkins to go. Great service!

We are SO glad we decided to give Magoo’s a whirl because their pizza is out of this world awesome! We like to try different eats than our standard fair do we went with a half/half pizza to try out two of their specialties. We had half kabob and half chicken tika. First of all the owner(or the man that helped us that seemed like the owner) was so polite and helpful & even made sure we tried the kabob sauce to make sure we’d like it(it’s spicy). We loved how interested he was in getting our feedback. Great guy! Now for the important part — the pizza, it was delicious! The kabob was good and interesting, but the chicken tika was definitely our favorite. That garlic sauce… yummy! We would love to see them embrace more specialities like a curry spiced pizza or other traditional flavored of their region. In summary, excellent service and amazing pizza!

Well what can I say. Chicken tikka pizza with garlic sauce was awesome. It was a take out order. They made the pizza in about 12 – 15 mins as said. It was not very busy as well. The pricing is a little on the higher side as compared to the pizza chains, because there are so many offers going on. This is an independent store so I don’t mind paying a couple of bucks extra for the pizza. I hope they add butter chicken pizza to their menu.

Went to Magoo’s for the first time this afternoon for lunch with the boyfriend. We ordered a medium supreme pizza with half garlic sauce and half tomato sauce. I requested that they go lighter on the cheese which they took proper care of when making our pizza. We also got a basket of mild chicken wings. Needless to say the pizza was delicious! We chose the flat crust and it was very nice: crispy with a softer inside. Overall, the pizza was not«sloppy and greasy» either. The chicken wings were well cooked and had a nice amount out meat on the bones. As we ate, we watched an interestingly entertaining Issac Newton documentary on their wall-mounted flat screen TV. I look forward to coming back and trying their other pizzas and menu items such as the subs and calzones. We had a good experience!

Oh my goodness I cannot even explain how good this pizza is! However, I will attempt it. I heard about this garlic sauce they offer as an option here instead of the traditional tomato sauce on your pizza, so I had to see what this was all about. Let me tell you my friends, it did not disappoint! It was very similar to places that offer white pizza with a cheesy Alfredo sauce kinda blend, but the garlic sauce cheesy blend they’re using at this place is phenomenal! I ordered a pepperoni pizza with the garlic sauce and a house salad with ranch. The owner talked me into getting the salad since they make their own ranch dressing. The salad was delicious, and the pizza was the most flavorful I’ve ever had! I made sure to let the owner and worker(who both helped me decide on what to order and were especially patient and nice) just how much I enjoyed the food, service, and overall experience at this place. I’m sure I was a customer they’ll never forget the same way I’ll never forget that amazing pizza! I will gladly drive the 2.5 hours just to have this pizza again! Prices were very reasonable. I got a good amount of food for only $ 13 or so.

Hey Magoo’s, I really like you and your meaty delicious pizza, BUT my visit was a little weird. Don’t get me wrong, the Meat Lovers pizza was great. Thin flaky crust, flavorful pepperoni and sausage underneath the cheese, ground beef on top. I was mad when I got full because I still had 2 pieces left over. I also got the appetizer sampler. The mild wings were decent, the mozzarella sticks were so-so, but the potato wedge fries were crispy and(once they cooled back after torching my tongue) delicious — especially dipped in their homemade ranch. Great food, I’ll definitely be going back. But the weird stuff: after entering, I waited about 5 minutes before someone came to the counter. When I did, they assumed I was picking up food. It was around 12:30, normal lunch time. I guess not many people eat in on Thursdays. When the man working there emerged from the kitchen, he was very friendly and we received quick service the rest of our experience. The 70 inch tv was the weirdest thing. The entire time I ate, there was a documentary playing about the dangerous migration of wildebeest in Africa. While I’m chomping on Italian sausage, Alligators and cheetahs are chomping on injured wildebeest right next to me. These poor guys are being displayed drowning, legs twitching, and being ripped apart by vultures. Is this some kind of social experiment? Watch people eat while watching animals eat? When the documentary ended… it started again from the beginning. So awkward. Next time I’ll probably get one of their Indian inspired pizzas or instead of tomato sauce get a garlic sauce base. And I’ll definitely tell them to change the channel.

Perfect pizza! Garlic sauce is the best option, but if that’s not your thing the traditional sauce is still super.

Dry and bland. I’ve had better frozen pizza. I’ve tried the west 38th street location several years ago, it was delicious. I am very disappointed this locations isn’t as delicious.

This place is wonderful. I’m serious. It’s no joke. The half chicken tikka w/garlic sauce and half chappli kebab is just the tastiest pizza in the word. It has such a wonderful dance of flavors on your tongue. It’s a really great experience. It’s also consistent. Their regular wings are really good, too. Crispy skin. Yum.

Now I don’t have to drive down 38th to get this pizza and I rejoice. It’s so dang good. Cheesy and the crust is naan– like. I love it. Even my kids go for chicken tikki and that is a miracle ya’ll. Welcome to Avon Maggo’s! We are happy to have you.

A lot of people seem to like this pizza. Tried some of the other things they have on the menu and they were very flavorful. I’d give it a try again and just order a different item.

Just tried Magoo’s here in Avon. I have had the pleasure of trying their pizza at their original 38th street location too– and the pizza here is every bit as good! I ordered a Large pizza with sausage and mushroom with red sauce. Here you also have an option to order a pizza with garlic sauce, but have never tried it. The red sauce has a good taste, and the sausage is not too spicy either. Crust has a small crunch yet is soft and chewy– almost perfect IMO. They also have other items like burgers, pastas, and sandwiches to offer. I can safely say that this is the best pizza in Avon right now– so if you are thinking of eating either Monical’s, Randelli’s, Hungry Howie’s, or any other pizza place in the area, take a chance and give Magoo’s a try. Also highly recommended from others that have eaten here, these guys also have some interesting toppings to add to pizzas(my pizza tastes are more mainstream personally) such as different meats such as chicken tikka or even a kabob-style pizza combo.

First, there’s nothing«California» about this pizza. When I hear the word ‘California’ attached to cuisine, my expectations darn well better catch a huge wave of cutting edge flavor, quality and freshness. The likes of this pizza is as far from the west coast as it gets and is more along the lines of what you’d find in the frozen section of your local supermarket. I ordered a veggie pizza that was skimpy on cheese, and the tomato sauce tasted like paste out of a can. The crust was average at best and the same can be said for the toppings, although, the jalapenos did pack a nice punch. The restaurant can be dine-in or carry out, although, there are very few tables and chairs and the atmosphere is pretty sterile. This place also suffers a very poor location that is smack dab against Rockville Road and has very limited parking. Good luck getting in and out on a Saturday night. About the only highlight to mention here is the service, which was friendly, courteous and prompt, but that alone is not nearly enough to make me want to come back. If my review sounds frustrated, it’s because it seems that Avon has an impossible time attracting or keeping truly authentic pizza parlors that crank out the kind of memorable pies you can’t wait to sink your teeth into. It is worth noting that if you desire Indian flavors and appetizers, the menu does include kabobs, a garlic sauce option, and ginger as a topping, which could be an interesting offering, but I went solely for the pizza and not for the international fare.
