Had lunch here with a few of my colleagues, one of whom is a member. We ate in the formal dining room and we were the only ones there. Given the«ballroom» style music that was being played, perhaps that was not surprising(Also, I think most of the members eat in the golf club lounge during the day). For appetizers, we shared some seared tuna, chips and dip, and calamari. I think it was all good, but nothing to right home about. One of our diners said the tuna was cooked too much, but it seemed okay to me. My only real disappointment was that the«homemade chips» were not very crunchy(a little cold and soggy). For my main meal, I had a very delicious Reuben sandwich, which surprisingly came with regular potato chips(at least they were crunchy). While I enjoyed my sandwich, a few of my colleagues were not impressed with what they ordered(I don’t recall everything). We had a very nice, attentive young waitress; however, the group laughed when she tried to describe the dessert menu but failed to do it justice.

I was in a wedding this past weekend and we spent a good chunk of time at Avon Oaks(brunch and the reception). Let me start off by saying this place is BEAUTIFUL. Set on a golf course, we had brunch Friday morning in their upstairs room. Huge windows overlooking the course, we loved watching the golfers try to impress us. Brunch was champagne, chicken salad sandwich, and a mixed salad of sorts, with chocolate mousse to finish. Not too shabby… Our waitress was super nice too. The reception was awesome! Huge room, the buffet was delicious, everything fell right into place. So much fun!
