I was looking for a new place to get my nails done and came across Elite. It was a Friday afternoon so it was busy which was fine. I got a gel manicure that was advertised at $ 23. The man who did my nails was really rough on my hands. He also put at least 3 coats of color on and 2 coats of top coat. When I went to check out he told me it was $ 32. I said I thought it was $ 23 and he told me that I picked a the more expensive shellac… news to me because I went to the rack they told me to. I wasn’t happy. They’ve started to grown out after a week and they look horrible. The gel is starting to lift and you can see where he put way too much topcoat on. For $ 2 more, I will go back to Charles Scott and get a gel manicure that lasts me 3 weeks. Overall I was just really disappointed.

I like this place. Everyone is so nice and they do a great job. The only thing I don’t like about it is, each time we make a reservation, we always have to wait. One time, I had to wait for 30 minutes before someone came to help me, and then I waited another 20 minutes, to have them come back and actually work on my nails. But, in the end, it is still a nice place to go.

Not the cleanest but my nails turned out great! The technician was pleasant and was fast and officiant. Definitely a step above Luv“s. I got a uv gel mani and am very pleased. I would go back again.

The pedicure is still pretty good. I have no chips and no smudges… it actually still looks really good.
The problem is the manicure. I had a chipped nail the day after. And now it’s been under a week and the polish has been peeling from around all the edges. I guess I’m hard on my nails? Normally it’s just that tips that chip.
Anyways. I already had to repaint my nails :(

Clean, efficient, good color section and friendly staff. Never had a gel manicure before and they talked me into it — it looks fantastic. I always appreciate a manicurist who is a perfectionist! I’ll definitely come back here.

Newly remodeled. Very beautiful inside. Always easy to get an appointment here and I always call ahead to avoid the wait. Convenient nail salon in Avon Lake. Kevin does a great job with Shellac nails.

I get manis and pedis here on a regular basis for $ 40 plus tax. They do a good job on the pedis but two things annoy me:
Often, when I want both services, they want to do the mani at the same time, which requires I reach one arm over my body to work on it. So much for relaxing in the chair!
The other thing is the technicians think round = sharp and pointed. Twice, I made the mistake of saying «round». Even after I drew out what round looks like she still filed my nails to a point. Ask for square unles you want a dagger!
Color typically lasts for about one week on my fingernails and about 1 month on my toe nails. I’m happy about that.
Appointments are not necessary and they are open until 8:00 most nights.

Cute little nail salon tucked in an Avon Lake shopping mall. I went here for a gel manicure before I went on vacation a few weeks ago. They have a huge selection of gel polishes and I found almost an exact match for the color I already had on my toes. Score!
The manicurist was super sweet and did a great job. My gel manicure still looked awesome after a week on the beach!
I’ll still go to Anthony Vince if I want the whole pampering experience, but Elite will work just fine when I need a quick, but good, manicure.
