Brilliant! I travel from Philadelphia all the time just to eat here. The fact that everything is Paleo means that I’m not just happy while eating, I’m also happy while digesting! It’s some kind of wonderful to be able to eat out and not worry about whether or not I’ll have a stomach-ache later. Everything is delicious, too! My favorite is the bison, egg, & duck burger.

I LOVE this place! I am here at least once a week, love the paleo creativity. Favorite dish is the grilled Ahi tuna and guacamole tacos. I also love their burgers, so fresh, and cooked exactly how I like it… Medium rare! Also great attentive service! Great relaxing environment. You must check it out! You won’t be disappointed!

I’m not paleo but I come here for their grass fed Wagyu beef burger with bacon, fresh avocado, house made primal mayo served with a side of sweet potato salad. This burger totally satisfies my beef burger craving. Paired with the sweet potato salad, my satiety is satisfied.

Let me start by saying I’ve been here 4 times before tonight and haven’t had a bad experience until now. Tonight the gf and I walked over and expected another delicious exciting Paleo meal, but it did not live up to our expectations. We each ordered a soup thinking it was a perfect start to a chilly spring night. They came out and were perfect(broccoli and bacon & caveman chicken). However, after we’re both ¼ the way through our soups and our entrees came out(ribeye and veal specials). We were caught by surprise when the waitress brought our dinners out so quickly since we only had a few spoonfuls of our soup. We brought a bottle of wine and expected to enjoy it while we talked and ate our soup, but we were rushed by the arriving entrees. Her rib eye was pre cut into slices and the waitress never asked how she wanted it cooked. However it tasted great. Not hot but warmer than room temp. My veal, was just room temp and the mashed cauliflower was barely room temp. Flavor was there but was seriously turned off because my meal was not hot and rushed. I complained to the waitress about being rushed from the soup and of the cold plates; she agreed to comp our soups. Overall the taste was there, but we’re gonna stay away from here for a while as this was a huge turn off. It’s a shame because we live 2 blocks away and planned on coming back all summer.

I’ve been following a paleo lifestyle for a few years now, and have never been able to walk into a restaurant and order whatever I pleased… without wondering how I’d feel later. I didn’t have to worry about gluten, dairy, soy, chemical additives, AND the ingredients were purchased from local farms/companies who responsibly raise their animals! I must have ended up in heaven and didn’t realize it. My server was exceptional and very attentive even with a room full of lunchers. I ordered the cauliflower bacon soup and braised(grassfed!) short rib tacos(in romaine leaves). Since I knew I might not be able to return for a few months, I grabbed 3 different desserts to be enjoyed throughout the week haha. Blueberry lemon muffin, mocha bacon brownie, and a huge chocolate chip cookie. Of course I had to try a bite of them all and I was so impressed. I love paleo baking but it’s even better when someone bakes them for you! Will be dragging the entire family back this summer. Ps– if the owners ever want to open a location near Cherry Hill, I’ll help you in whatever way possible ;)(if i had the money, I’d sponsor it!)

Been going here for a year now. It is a little on the pricey side so unfortunately it is a «once in a while» place to save money, but it is absoluely worth every penny. I have yet to have a meal here I didn’t rave about immediately. Everything is so fresh and made carefully. They really take into consideration different flavors and textures. They do things with sweet potatoes that turn it into its own food group. I never feel bloated or tired after eating one of these meals, only happy and full. And not a full where you are going to explode, their portions are spot on. I’ve never ordered from their regular menue because their specials change weekly(and a lot of the times daily) so there is always something new and tastey for you to try!

We’ve been there before and had a marvelous meal. This time around, not do much. I ordered the Spaghetti squash«ramen noodle» bowl. $ 10 Lemongrass broth tasted more like chicken broth. The abundance of «noodles» compared to one shitaki mushroom was odd. There were cut chunks of chicken but not many. Poached egg was very good though. I asked to share it with my hubby and they gave me a plate. Ummm, you’re kidding right? Overall, plate aside, I was greatly disappointed in their bowl. My husbands dinner fared much better than mine. Nice two fairly thick slices if avocado on top of the beef. The outside part was a bit tough & crunchy to cut as you use a butter knife. My husband asked for his burger to be medium rare. Thank god because it came out medium well done. Can you imagine if we requested medium or done?! The service however was very good. They explained what any dish you order before they write it down just in case it’s not what you expected. Other than the faux pas regarding a plate for the soup, they were pretty attentive to us. Would we go back? Hubby said he’s over it.

Such great food! Always friendly — always fresh selections. Inventive daily specials too. The dining room and it’s slat wood floors and country«general store» vibe makes you feel like home. Try this place it’s MUCH more than a gimmick!

When I saw a paleo restaurant near my work meeting I was beyond excited if only I was as excited after my food came! The place was adorable and easy to find. The server was friendly enough but could have been more attentive I often had to look for her. I ordered the sweet potato salad which was so good. So good that I almost asked for the recipe and am now kicking myself that I didn’t. I wish my meal would have ended there because the rest was regrettable. I ordered the chicken vegetable soup which was supposed to «chock full of veggies» but only had some carrots and celery which I wouldn’t have minded except it had absolutely zero flavor. I would have rather had a good chicken broth then that soup. Then I ordered the mocha bacon brownie hoping the baked goods would recover my meal. While the taste of the brownie was good. There was absolutely NOTHING mocha or bacon about it. And actually featured toasted coconut throughout(which I don’t like and wouldn’t have ordered had I known) In the end I am a fan of the concept and the design of the place but the food definitely is giving paleo cooking a bad name!

I love this place!!! I had the Zucchini bowl once and the Grilled Romaine(with a piece of grilled chicken) salad another time. Both were AMAZING. The lemomgrass broth is so light and fresh, the poached egg on top is perfect and the zucchini makes it a all come together. The romaine salad was so good and the grilled chicken was the best I have ever had out at a restaurant. My friend had the bison burger over a sweet potato hash. Very good as well. Our server Alexa did a great job taking care of us. I’ll be back and I suggest you stop by and give Cave a try.

Absolutely amazing! They have so much to choose from and it’s all delicious! The owner couldn’t be nicer and the service is always on point. Don’t go in there and order something«usual» just go all out and tell them to choose for you it’s never not been phenomenal!

Everything on the menu was delicious! From the soups, to the main dishes, and to the desserts, everything was so tasty. I was amazed at how good all the muffins and desserts were. We tried one of each and ended up taking an extra order to go! This place will not disappoint and I plan on going back very soon.

A friend and I were driving in the area and passed by this place. I immediately checked the rating on my Unilocal app and sure enough it had high ratings. After a quick drive to t he water we came back and had lunch. For lunch we both chose the bunnies pork burger and it did not disappoint. The flavor was spot on just as mentioned by many Unilocalers. Unfortunately I had dinner plans and I got here late(around 3pm) so I did not get t o try as much as I would like to. Next time I am in the East Coast I will definitely come back.

If you are into healthy/gluten free food, you must try this place!!! We stumbled in here today and it was amazing! From the moment we entered, the owner? was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Our server was the sweetest, explaining that the kitchen was slightly backed up and apologizing for the delay(we didn’t even notice). We tried the butter coffee, curry vegetable soup, and lettuce tacos. Everything was delicious! We can’t wait to go back and try more menu items!

I found the food here to be good. Nothing really knocked me off my feet except for that sweet potato salad. I also found my food to be very salty. Who knows, maybe they were having an off day. The location is ok with parking available on the street. I love the fact that it’s some way from the beach which makes is more quite and easier to navigate. The space interior is also beautiful. The prices are also fair.

This is a return visit and we chose the same items from the menu as last time. Really, really good. The ancho/cocoa/cinnamon chili is insanely tasty, and the burger with sweet potato salad was also wonderful. We added on the coffee with butter and coconut oil and found it delicious(we were too scared to try it the last time) and are now sorry for mocking«bulletproof» coffee. On our way out, we snagged a mocha bacon brownie to go. We need to try new things here, but have been dreaming of our original order all year, so we lapsed into getting the same thing… The only drawback of this awesome place is that we live so damn far away from it.

Our first trip to Cave and we will definitely be back. Although I do not normally eat paleo(or so much meat in general), my partner really enjoyed the tone of the menu. We had the roasted romaine salad which was excellent, and the chili which was kind of one note with no discernible ingredients except beef — although the avocado slices on top were a nice addition. For the second course we chose two specials. The sliders were good and served on plantains, which made a really yummy flavor combination. The zucchini pesto pasta with bolognese was Excellent! Atmosphere and service were pleasant, beachy. Cave is a great reason to visit beautiful Avon by the Sea!

This place is absolutely amazing in its own right but a godsend for those of us struggling with dietary restrictions. I have been here many times since it opened the food is always fresh and delicious. My only feedback is that I wish they had more sides other than the sweet pot salad and hash. Puréed carrots or parsnips maybe? But that’s a minor thing. All in all this place is a real treat!

Heck yaas. Recently started a whole life challenge, which means in short: no sugar, no grains and no dairy. Eating out has been a challenge to say the least, stuck between cheating and eating an entrée I don’t really really want to eat because I know it’s better for me. Not here! So we may have eaten enough food for 4 people, but we really couldn’t help ourselves. Appetizer: beef sliders, served a top a grilled plantain with avocado and homemade aloli. Delicious. Perfect amount of spice and avocado makes you forget you might have wantef cheese on it. Main Courses: so we couldn’t decide, so we got all the tacos(yes too much, but lesson learned). BLT — bacon was amazing, so were the tomatoes. The chicken was too chicken salady for me and therefore too similar to the tuna tacos. Tuna — I would eat tuna salad everyday if it tasted like this. Short Rib — delicious. Juicy, slight tinge of coffee. Jerk pork burger! Get this! Order it now! Served with plantains and this sweet potato cold salad. So, being a glutton, I also got a bacon brownie to go. I’m eating it in the car, it’s perfection(salty sweet perfection) So excited to eat here again! And BYOB!

Such a great experience today! Had the absolutely delicious Bison/Duck burger, which was cooked to perfection. The sweet potato hash and salad it was served with were just as flavorful as the burger. To drink I had the fresh coconut water – straight from the coconut. And then I got a Mike’s Coffee with coconut oil and butter in it. So silky smooth b The ambiance is s great – like a home, that had been transformed into a cute little eatery. I loved how there was a set«theme» with décor, the mismatched furniture and lighting seemed to all go together so seamlessly. I’m sad I don’t live in the area anymore and will only get the chance to swing by when I’m visiting home. Don’t miss out on this great experience. I only wish I had taken a picture to show you how delectable the food was.

I was doing the Whole30 and a friend told me about this place so I decided to try it. Since it was my first time eating at a Paleo restaurant I wanted to try everything. I ordered the Uncle Mike’s «next level» coffee. It is coffee blended with butter and coconut oil. It was pretty tasty. I ordered the Jerk pork burger with caramelized plantains. It was delicious. With the side of sweet potatoes there were so many flavors in my mouth at once. It tasted amazing! For dessert I ordered the fudge brownie. Being that this is a Paleo friendly brownie is does not taste like what your typical brownie would taste like. It was a lot more dense but still good. Just make sure you have a glass of water nearby. Will be back to try more on the menu
