This place was good… Our waitress didn’t know what was on tap and what wasn’t. The fiancé asked for a draft Bud Light. she went to the bar… and came back to tell us «we don’t have that in tap». I asked for a Budweiser draft… she said okay… and came back with a Budweiser bottle… We got the half pound Tipsy Bites with Parmesan Garlic Hot sauce… they were alright. I got the Tipsy burger… the sauce was okay, but the waitress never asked how I wanted it cooked, so it came out over cooked for me… hard to enjoy when the burger is ehh. The fiancé got the Blackened Chicken and Shrimp. he liked it. I asked the waitress what the Happy Hour deals were… she said«just the $ 2 drafts»…the fiancé said«sangrias are a deal right?» She said«oh yeah, that too». We only knew that because we heard another waitress say it to her table. We do recommend this restaurant.

Beer tastes like vinegar so clean those tap lines every once in awhile! Food is ok, worth trying. Service was acceptable mostly, nothing too out of place. Waited 15 min for a beer at the bar with 6 people there though.

Tried someplace new after a Penguins game. Service was minimal. Took about 20 minutes for appetizers(2 doz clams and a cup of soup) despite the bar being less than half full. Food was passable. Server asked how our food was and then promptly walked away without waiting for an answer. Hoped for a wider variety of sports on the 6 or so tvs in the bar area. I would not return.

Super food including burger selection and turtle bites. The beer selection is fantastic and features changing craft brews throughout the year. Staff is very knowledgeable so trust their recommendations. Plenty of seating so bring your friends.

The burger I had was not that good. Flavorless, not very juicy. The sweet potato fries were very plain too and almost tasted stale. Maybe their other burgers are better?

A group of 9 of us went out tonight. We were seated in Collen’s section. She couldn’t have been any nicer. She was attentive without being intrusive which is a hard balance to find sometimes. She was extremely accommodating. She split our checks for us and acted like it was no problem. The food was great, the company fantastic and the service was excellent! Tipsy Turtle, YOUROCK!

The food is HORRIBLE and service is not much better. The place had 15 or so people at the bar. Made an order. 20 minutes later some manager guessing came out and said«we ran out of chicken salad». Okay make a new order for the crab cakes. This was the wrong choice. The crab mush is more like it. Cold soggy crab… Soggy fries. Nothing good here. Lastly SLOW service. Over an hour for a beer and food. The place was dead. Guessing on a normal night 2 hour minimums.

This seemed like a really nice place. I can only imagine how this place is on a Saturday and Sunday during football season with all the TVs. Anyways, we stopped in for a quick bite to eat and I was really impressed: not a dive place but a respectable little sports bar. I ended up getting their half pound special wings(unbreaded chicken in your sauce) and they were really good. Again… get some football on and a pitcher of beer and you will have the trifecta! Anyways…if you find yourself in the area. Stop by and check it out

Awful! Wings were undercooked and small. Fries were cold. Here on a Saturday night. Place is dead. Bar is as quiet as a library. TV’s are on without sound.

This place serves adequate bar food. The beer selection is great as well. If that’s where they stopped, they would have a much higher rating. What happens is that this place has the delusion of being a fine dining establishment. And because of this, the menu is bloated, the ‘fancy’ dishes sure cost enough, but are mediocre at best(Hop 5 Chicken is bland without a hint of hops), they take too much time to make, and the staff suffers for it. The owner seems to be a bit delusional about how good his food actually is. Stick with the pub food, Ken. You’ll be a lot better off.

We stopped here on the way through town and were really shocked at how good this place was. Great burgers, good steaks, big beer list, and no fewer than 25 large TVs. We expected decent food, but this place rocked. Who would have thought that a bar in an airport parking lot could be so enjoyable.

Just tried this place for the first time, and it was chosen for its proximity to the highway. It really was the closest establishment to I81 that : –Isn’t fast food garbage –Serves alcohol –Doesn’t close at 9PM. Yes, can you believe that it’s actually difficult to find a place that meets those first two demands when its 8:45PM? Everything in that Pittston WalMart /Truck-stop vicinity closes early, and you can’t get a beer with your food. From the Truck-Stop, it’s 1.6 miles, and a straight shot. Its sort of tucked away, next to a hotel. The place was practically empty, and it was a Thursday night. We were party of 6, all burgers. The Burger menu is a whole page of the menu. Good, innovative burgers on the menu. The draft list is very micro brew, but theyve got your grumpy dad’s Budweiser too if that’s what he must have. Had a great time. The staff was very friendly. Everyone’s food was perfect. Even the one in our party who loves to complain forgot to. Would be a great place to watch sports, being that there’s more TVs in the place than there are farms in Cuba. If one wanted to watch MLB playoffs, or the NCAA Tournament, you could certainly get all the games in one room, and still have 5 leftover screens to ensure your Mama doesn’t miss Judge Judy. Don’t find myself in Avoca too often, but I will certainly keep it in mind for any days that I’m leaving Montage Mountain. Would definitely recommend.

Very disappointed in the service it was very slow they did not even recognize the fact we were sitting there and needed drinks and menus. This was my second time there and the food was also poor this time around the wings were raw and the sauces were like water with no flavor. I’ve had Cajun and the habanero mango both horrible. A second person with had the hot sauce it was pure water for him it was like soup. I would not doubt if they were not watering down the sauces to make them go further. This place needs new management new kitchen staff and better ingredients.

Had a 6 am flight so I stayed at the Holiday inn express which shares a parking lot with the Tipsy. Not a fan of the name but I could walk here on a cold winter night. Sat at the bar and had a few glasses of wine. Menu is extensive with lots of choices. Steaks were super expensive and the guy next to me said the sirloin was«meh.» Ordered the blue cheese burger with substitute veggies rather than fries. Very tasty burger, but I found it odd that customers are not allowed to order anything but medium well. I like my red meat either medium well or medium, but wasn’t allowed. Bar tender was not very observant or friendly and I needed to ask to order my food. Very slow on a snowy Monday night so I’m surprised service was lacking. Overall the food was good but the experience was 3-star at best. Nice large TV’s which saved the night.

Waitress was pleasant but not fluent in the whole menu. We waited about 45 minutes for our food to came out and the kitchen never sent out our appitizers. We got 4 orders of wings and they were not as advertised. The wings weren’t extra crispy like we orderd and the sauces were greasy and seperated and we only got 3 very small celery sticks with each order. They need to get a different head of the kitchen or something. They have hope I think if they get a better handle on the kitchen. This is my second time there. There won’t be a third time.

Went here for a team lunch today. Service was pleasent but a bit slow during lunch. There was hardly any other customers. Burger was decent with nice flavor. The boneless chicken bites looked awesome. Reasonable prices and nice sports bar /craft beer theme. Kids menu for the little ones and full dinner menu.

Very good food. Staying in hotel next door, I like to walk makes this the only choice if walking from the hotel. That aside the staff is great, lots of tv’s if you’re looking to catch a game. Had a bowl of french onion or actually a crock. The soup was good. I had the blackend salmon that came with zucchini and squash along with rice. Very tasty. I like this place and I will be back.

I’ve been to the Tipsy Turtle Airport Pub three times now, and each visit was slightly different, yet, consistent. The food was good quality and the service was friendly… though on each visit, the server forgot something. Just need to tighten the reigns a bit and this place will be a must-visit! Also… no nightly specials? Come on, get with it!
