So, after having an awful experience the previous night while celebrating my 30th bday(at Barton G’s), I decided to have a «do-over». We decided last minute and they were no longer taking reservations for the night. We arrived around 9:45 on a Saturday night and our wait was surprisingly only 30 mins. I was delighted as I had reservations at a different restaurant the night before and waited nearly 2 hours! But I digress… Our server was Natasha and she was amazing. She was our fairy God Mother of the evening. I explained to her my experience from last night and expressed that I simply wanted a «non rushed, enjoyable dining experience» and she went above a beyond to give me just that and more. She gave us great suggestions and thoroughly explained menu items and answered each of our questions with great detail and patience. She asked us questions to get an idea of what we liked so that she could better recommend certain items. For example our drinks were perfect once she understood our preference. The Violet something is PERFECT! I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye and it was melt-in-your-mouth-tenderly-delicious! The traditional salad was the best salad I had EVER! I’ve had plenty of salads in my 30 years of life, but none could compare to this. The bacon, the eggs the honey mustard dressing was a perfect marriage of goodness. This place has been consistent for many years… Management does a good job in trying to keep this place up to date! This time service was just a notch below average… Don’t know what happened! Can’t rate as bad service for his one time. It is usually very good… So, maybe a bad day for the waitress. As for food, the prime rib au jus is always in our table… Can’t go wrong there… I also had the burger this time and even though I would change the bun, the meat was quite good. I do have to state that I do not like those tiny bottles of diet coke… Please charge more if this is the case, but bring something for an adult! The place as always is very clean… Enjoy

I remember coming here when I was young and I just came back after like 15 years. It’s still good, but it’s a bit like coming back to Disney World after you’ve grown up: the place looks smaller than I remembered and a bit tired. It was full of characters when I went because it was early. There were old people grabbing a bite, a guy next to me had an escort, there were some basketball player. Waitress was a qt and food was overall pretty good! Had some good beer on tap too.

I’e been to every South Florida Houstons location and the food and service is the most consistenly reliable and professional in town. The wine list has the best prices for quality wines. The food is not cheap but worth it for the quality. I read about people who complain about the wait, but all of the restaurants except Pompano take reservations. Make a reservation

Sooo good as always. A little short on the menus but what they have is consistently great. The fish is fresh and perfectly cooked. The ribs fall off the bone and the steaks are juicy and top quality. It has a lively bar scene and great wines by the glass. The only thing is that it is so dark and cold in there you better bring a jacket.

They need to change the chef here. Its a very nice place really good atmosphere but the food was very bad. I sent my steak back 3 times it kept coming rare when I asked for well done and the 3rd time they brought me a literally burnt steak. The service was very good.

Excellent as always, spinach dip, I have to have, house salad, I still can’t figure out why it’s so yum, but omg! So fresh flavor are delish, Hawaiian ribeye cooked perfect, disappointed that they have raised prices & size of order, Service was excellent, ate at bar, Only thing I didn’t like, they allowed children to be seated at bar, my husband had the ahi tuna, that was delish, taste like they just caught it.

Nestled equidistant between the Miami and Fort Lauderdale Federal Courthouses this is my go to lunch spot when commuting between hearings, depositions or Mediations. Or just to grab a bite with my mom-/ Beautiful location, with attractive clientele and servers. What more could one ask for? Menu items range from hamburgers to grilled fish. All prepared to the exact specifications of the customer. Free valet parking and a large and comfortable bar makes this place one of Aventura’s best dining options. It can be expensive with drinks and desert– look to spend $ 50+ per person for lunch. Dinner even more. Would I go back? Without a doubt.

Houston’s is a staple of South Florida and I appreciate the consitant quality of their food. I always know when I order a meal I won’t be disappointed. This location lives up to that, however I find it hard to go to due to the fact there is always an extensive wait to get a table. Sometimes as long as two hours. The lobby area blends with the bar and for a restaurant who boats a consistent wait time there is little seating by the hostess stand or at the bar. It is something that is always in the back of my mind when I want to go as I don’t demand to always be seating right away when I walk in, but there are times when the wait is inconvenient based on our plans and we choose another restaurant, even knowing the quality of their food. If you have the time and don’t mind standing around then by all means give it a shot, you will enjoy a great meal, great service and a view of the bay.

I was pleasantly surprised by Houston’s. It is a little upscale from the level of restaurant I usually eat at, but we were going there for a special occasion. In the back of my mind, I was scared I was going to have a similar experience to Tropical Acres Steakhouse – tough steak, expired clientele, rude service, and a large bill. However, I had a lovely experience for our special occasion. When we arrived, there was a long wait. However, we got a nice drink at the bar and chilled. My husband got a beautiful, unique cocktail, and I got a nice champagne. The only complaint I had the whole night, was sometimes the bartenders were a little absent, and the transition from the bar to the floor was a little clumsy. We kept wondering if it was time to be seated. One bartender went to check, but then didn’t let us know the outcome. Another went to check, and then right as they were returning, they came and got us. It seemed they were just wandering around the bar asking for us. Also, they said they would transfer our bill, but later in the night, we found out they hadn’t, and it made the paying process quite lengthy as they had to correct the bill. However, the meal was perfect otherwise. First of all, the view as the sun was setting was glorious. They opened up the blinds and what a view of the water and tall condos! My husband had the Hawaiian rib-eye, and it was tender, flavorful, and juicy. I had the Ribs with switched out sides of red cabbage and whipped potatoes. The ribs weren’t amazing(I would say J Alexander’s are better), but they were good. The red cabbage was excellent and had little dollops of what appeared to be crème fraîche. We also had the key lime pie which was potent with an interesting crust(maybe had nuts in it). The service on the floor was superb. The clientele were very classy. Overall, I was happy with the night. :)

Houstons never fails to impress. Service is always impeccable and professional. The food is always the best. My go to’ are the spinach dip for an appetizer followed by a cheeseburger and loaded baked potato. The burger is so thick and juicy. The baked potato is a meal in itself, it’s HUGE!

I have always been a fan of Houstons. We usually go to the one in Coral Gables, but we were in the Aventura area and decided to stop in for a late lunch/early dinner. Lunner. Fortunately, there was not a wait and we were seated immediately. Service started off a bit slow but eventually picked up. We were a party of three and we each ordered a different dish and shared a Spinach Artichoke Dip. Our entrees consisted of the following: ~ Hawaiian Ribeye– Delicious and cooked at the requested temperature. The Loaded Baked Potato, as always, was fantastic. ~ Filet Mignon– Nicely charred and very tasty. Requested medium and it was fairly rare in the middle. Served with a side of fries which were heavily salted. ~ Baby Back Ribs– The ribs were flavorful and tender but they were pretty anorexic. Very little meat on those bones. Also accompanied by a baked potato. Now, it’s been about a two years since we’ve been to any Houston’s. I am fully aware that they are on the pricey side but this meal without any drinks totaled $ 150 plus gratuity. And although the food was very good it was not $ 150 good. I would much rather pay it at Fleming’s or Chef Adrianne’s. However, I’m sure that we will return at some point.

At one point in time, a long long time ago, I would come here at least 2 – 3 times a month. It was way back when they still had the Beef Bandera ribs. they changed them to Baby Backs, I changed into a pescatarian/vegetarian, and long story short, many years went by. Driving by so many times, my wife and I would comment on how we haven’t been back in a long time, so recently, I decided to surprise her and take her. We had a reservation for 9, but arrived super late(like 10), and checked in, and went straight to some bar seats to have a drink while we waited. We didn’t have to wait long, about 1 beer worth of time, and we transferred to a table. Our Waitress arrived shortly thereafter and asked us for additional drinks, and we took her up on that offer, as we perused the menu. There was a lot of things I wanted to order, so we settled on the following. We had the Ahi Tuna appetizer(not on the menu), Scottish Salmon w/kale salad and broccoli and the wifey had the Steak salad. The food was excellent, just as we remembered. Our waitress was fantastic and had a great personality. The food was pricey, pricier than I remembered, but overall we had no complaints. I don’t see this being back on my regular rotation, because for $ 150 for 2 people, I would go elsewhere, however I would definitely come back for a special occasion. One last thing is, I noticed that all the blinds facing the water were closed, blocking the view. I asked about it, and they said that is what they do now, which makes no sense because the view is one of the things that makes this place so special. Solid 4 stars for food and service. Removing 1 star for price.

Location: it is located near a beautiful water front so it is basically perfect for any date or romantic evening. Service: the waiters are always friendly and very attentive, this is my second time going and so far I haven’t had a single issue with the staff. Ambiance: the look of it is super romantic and elegant, it has a nice bar in the entrance and dim lights to set the mood. FOOD: OH. MY. GOD. The food is literally the best thing ever. I like my steak well done and sometimes restaurants burn it. Not here! It was amazing. My boyfriend had a cheeseburger and was raving about it all night. Overall we had an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely be going back in the future.

Ehrlich gesagt gehe ich nur in das Restaurant wegen den Spear Rips. Ja ich weiss hört sich blöd an ist aber so, die besten Spear Rips die ich bis anhin gegessen habe! Das Restaurant ist eins der hipperen in der Gegend, die Inneneinrichtung ist männlich. Dunkle Farben, viel Kupfer und Stahl, schwarzes Leder. Man sieht direkt in die Küche und auf den Grill, awesome! Interessanterweise sitzen auch mehr Männer im Lokal, ausser sie führen ihr Date aus ;) die Bar ist gleich beim Eingang und sehr gross, einladend. Die Bedienung wie nicht anders zu erwarten, gut aussehende Junge Damen, ganz in… Achtung jetzt kommt’s… Schwarz. Die sind mehr oder weniger freundlich, und stellen sich vor: «Hi my Name is Nancy, and i will be your servant tonight»(hier eine etwas höhere, zickigere Stimme anwenden). Kommen wir zum relevanten, zum Essen. Die Speisekarte ist klein und Übersichtlich, salate, appatizeers, Fleisch und Fisch. Natürlich wird letzteres auch auf dem Grill zubereitet. Wie es sich für ein Hipster amerikanisches Restaurant führen sie praktisch nur Europäisches Bier ;) verkehrte Welt. Nun zu den Spear Rips: THE. BEST. EVER. mehr gibts hier gar nichts hinzuzufügen, einfach himmlisch. Hier in Amerika gibt es nur eine Preispolitik. Je dünner die Speisekarte um so teurer das Restaurant. Die Speisekarte hat nur zwei Seiten. Das sagt glaub ich schon alles. Ein richtig grosser Nachteil, das liesst man fast in allen Berichten, es ist extrem Laut. Trotzdem lohnt sich ein Besuch und vorallem probiert mal die Spear Rips. Tipp: Ihr ahnt es «Spear Rips» ;) ich liebe die!

Ok hear me out. Ambiance 5 Service(hostess) 5 Waitress 3 Food: Definitely a 5 I went because of the Hawaiian Ribeye, it was made to perfection, tender juicy and had the perfect amount of fat :)… God! is so sinful but sooooo delicious, it doesn’t hurt if you do it only for special occasions. Our drinks were Perfect too and strong. Overall I would say it was a pleasant experience and will go back for sure. If you have the chance to go, turn into a CARNIVORE like I did and have the ribeye, it is just perfection. PS: it was Monday night but this place made it feel like it was a Friday or Saturday night. It was packed.
