Gotta tell you, this has been one of my favorite places for years. We always look forward to coming here when in South Florida. But last night that changed. The one thing we count on is solid service which results was lacking at dinner last night. First we were seated and asked if we wanted drinks, half way through the order the waiter took off. He came back with a partial order and no explanation as to what happened. We ordered two pretty expensive bottles of wine and during the first bottle the sommelier disappeared leaving us to get up, get our 2nd decanted bottle and serve ourselves. Finally we ordered dessert which came incomplete. This was a business dinner with colleagues and they were definately not impressed. Maybe we hit a bad night but now, we may not come back. Mr Mina: you may want to take a look at what’s happening at this Bourbon Steak which just went from 4 stars to 2 in our book. We could drop 75% of this amount at Ruth Chris and get better service and a comparable meal.

We had an incredible experience. The food was so good! We went to celebrate an anniversary and had a really memorable meal. They started us off with some fries and sauces – these were hot and ready as soon as we sat down. I ordered the sea bass for dinner. No joke, it was life altering. They even brought us out a customized dessert with an anniversary message written in chocolate. 2 thumbs up!

The quality of the food and the service continues to decline. Had to wait for a table, despite having reservations. The service was super slow. It took us over 1 hour just to get our food. Very overpriced and the parking is no longer complimentary-now $ 8.00. Sadly, this used to be one of my favorite restaurants.

My husband and I had dinner here for Valentines. They had a limited set menu but after reading the reviews I was excited for this dinner. The set menu had three courses and was $ 135 a person. We reviewed the menu ahead of our visit and decided one of us would order a steak, the other seafood and share. We arrived at our reservation time and was sat right away. We got a table in the middle of the restaurant right next to the wait stand. It was so loud that I could not hear my husband speak to me so we asked to be moved. We were quickly accommodated and sat in the front area of the restaurant in a nice booth. Unfortunately, that is where the great service ended! Our new waiter greeted us quickly and took our drink order. Every interaction with him after that was brief and rushed so he could go back over to the table next to us where he spent most of his time talking to a couple he obviously knew very well. Our empty plates sat uncleared, we were never asked if we needed anything else after our food was brought out, we were finally asked if we wanted dessert after sitting with empty glasses for some time. By the time he finished his conversation and asked us if we wanted dessert I was do irritated that i asked for our dessert to be wrapped up so we could take it back to our room. The food itself was excellent but the horrible service definitely ruined the overall experience. We would not choose to go back. We have been to so many excellent restaurants that we would not risk spending that kind of money and having a bad time again.

Good service. Interesting seating(I was on a soft couch). Too loud. But hey it’s a steak place and this is a review of the food. 20oz bone in ribeye was undercooked(which for me is the first indicator of whether or not a $ 50 steak place is worth it). I ordered it medium and it came medium rare. I could overlook that a bit of not for the fact that the Oscar style topping my wife ordered was warm at best when I arrived. Her filet was cooked properly. A sad day when the best thing we got was the Brussels sprouts. You can surely find a better value for your money than this place.

Amazing!!! I came to celebrate Valentine’s. It was the best choice for an upscale night out. We came with a reservation(I encourage you to get one;this place gets packed) Instead of bringing bread to the table, they bring crispy French fries. At first I thought that it was not a very refined look for such upscale place but when I realized that they had 3 different gourmet taste I changed my mind. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet, I can tell you that I feel as if any choice would have been a good one. There was a great deal of thought that went into choosing this menu. The sommelier definitely has great taste. We did not order appetizer and I think it was wise since the food is very flavorful. I had the Florida grass fed filet mignon and it was perfect. For dessert the upside down pin apple cake is something everyone should experience in their lifetime. Giusseppe was amazing. He was the manager on duty and he was very attentive. He made sure everything was flawless.

Full disclosure: this is probably my favorite steak house in South Florida. Went here last week for«guys night», and could not be happier with our decision. The food was great, the ambience is fantastic and the service was top notch(shout out to Christopher Parsons who took care of us that evening) We started off with drinks,(they have blue cheese stuffed olives) and my martini was fantastic. As always at Bourbon, the meal starts off with fries. The duck fat fries were delicious as always, this time they had three different variations with three different sauce options, all were delicious. We also asked for bread, which up until this visit I did not know was a possibility, it was fantastic. Definitely ask for the bread. On to the apps, it was 7 of us so we got apps to share. 2 tuna tartares, a tuna sashimi, crispy pork belly in a tamarind? sauce, and my favorite bone marrow. All of the apps delivered, the pork belly was fantastic, crispy, tender, definitely recommended. The tuna sashimi, fantastic, but I don’t recommend it for a group unless you’re going to order three or four. The tartare had great flavor and was a lauded by the group as the best of the appetizers. The bone marrow was a «personal» app, but I ended up sharing anyways. That was a tactical error, as I was left wanting more. If you order it, be sure to squeeze out the roasted garlic and smear some on the toast. Everyone got steaks all around, usually I’m a bone in ribeye guy, but Christopher recommended the NY Strip. It was a solid mid rare and juicy AF, definitely adding the strip to my steak rotation. All in all everyone was satisfied with their steaks. We shared a few sides, mac and cheese, creamed spinach, mash, and the star of the show was the special, brussel sprouts. All of the sides were fantastic but the ones people kept going back for were the mac and the brussels, if they have a brussel sprouts special when you visit, order it, it will not disappoint. We finished of dinner with beignets, definitely hit the mark. Christopher even had them add a few extra to the order as we were more people than beignets for the standard portion. The only down side to the place is that it’s about 40 minutes away from my place, but it certainly is worth the trip. Will definitely be back.

Even with 17 check-ins and my long– term mentioning of Bourbon Steak to anyone who will listen, there’s still a lot more to talk about. Don’t believe me? One word… BRUNCH. Bourbon Steak is now offering Sunday brunch and I’m already in love with it too. Is there anything they do that I don’t love? I wasn’t even aware they had changed the menu. I stumbled upon it by chance. A friend wanted to celebrate a birthday and we happened to make an off hour reservation. What a nice surprise! The brunch is $ 65 per person for a three course a la carte experience. The mimosas and bloody Marys are $ 8 each, but all other drinks(soft drinks, coffee, tea, juice, etc.) are included as well as their addicting(you’ve been warned) bread/pastry basket. THEFOOD ANSONMILLSWHITECHEDDARGRITS: this is all you need, really. A tomato relish and braised wagyu short rib placed dead center on the grits. Our usually rowdy table came to a complete silence when we took a bite of this. I’m not kidding, this was impossibly rich, comforting, and just damn good! This dish can easily be on the main entrees list. AHITUNASASHIMI– fresh, beautiful cut that easily stands alone with fresh wasabi, house made ponzu, and pickled cucumbers. BUTTERNUTSQUASHSOUP– with La Quercia pancetta. Need I say more? I think not. Excellent. SHELLFISHPLATTERFORTWO– my friend wanted this instead of the three course. Can’t say I blame her: Maine lobster, king crab, shrimp, and oysters galore. ALLBEEFBURGER– Farmhouse cheddar, balsamic onions and a to die for secret sauce. I wonder what it takes to spill the beans. I’m guessing the secret is a whole lot of butter. Hmmmmm… MAC&CHEESE– someone didn’t get my broccoli memo. That’s OK. Turns out I’ve evolved and I’m no longer as broccoliphobic. I can deal with a small amount and the amount in this mac is just right. I still think it needs to be listed on the menu, but I digress. In addition to the options on the menu, there is a platter served for the table that includes bacon, sausage and potatoes. They are all great, but the sausages… oh my… incredible! SWEETSPLATTER This course is not a la carte. Based on the diners in your party, there’s a dessert platter brought out with a little bit of everything. Service, as usual, was phenomenal; being professional and knowledgeable is what they do best. The portions for the appetizer and entrees are not as small as I thought they would be. Add the dessert and all the other extras and I can tell you I was uncomfortably full until the next day. That’s my fault for over eating. How could I not? Isn’t that what one does at brunch? OK, maybe that’s what I do. Brunch, after all, is my favorite meal and I don’t get to partake too often. Bourbon Steak happens to now have a good one too. I think we all know I will be back for more. Definitively, check them out!

The lobster pot pie is simple amazing! Where do I start? The presentation is so cool. All the aroma will drive you crazy! You have to go and try it to understand. The lobster melts in your mouth and the bisque sauce that accompanies it makes the pot pie. The veggies are so tasty. It was such an experience. The service was superb! Love this place!

I am surprised to be writing this unfavorable review for several reasons: 1) I love steak houses; 2) ambiance looked exciting with a terrific scotch/bourbon/whiskey selection; and 3) a great wine list. I preface this review by saying the restaurant was NOT busy. Here’s what worked: * great Cabernet by the glass at a reasonable price(everything’s relative… this is an expensive steak house) * complimentary duck fat fries * truffle mac & cheese And here is where they stumbled, and frankly couldn’t recover: * we were eleven dinner guests, ten adults and one seven year old. We pre-ordered the seven year old’s hamburger. This is dining with kids 101. Every establishment understands the concept: feed the children so the fare paying adults can enjoy their experience. An hour and ten minutes after ordering, the child’s hamburger was nowhere to be found. * in that same period, we had only had our drink order taken once. * Asked for bread at the tables, and while the bread that arrived was homemade, it was served by a server to your bread plate and was roughly the size of a croûton. We were all getting hungry while waiting, and this seemed like punishment by ration. * after a lengthy wait– appetizers arrived at 1:15 and entrees at 1:45, orders came inarticulately: no blue cheese on one of the burgers, medium steak showed up well done, forgot an order of broccoli, and perhaps the most inexplicable, on of our guests never received his entrée. At all. * then is got worse. We asked for an explanation of to the whereabouts of the entrée, the reasons for the poor service etc, and there was a completely unprofessional response from the line service staff. It escalated to management, and the manager did his level best to make it up to us, including a 50% rebate off the bill. The sad summary is that the food product is good here, and the ambiance compelling. But the lack of training to service staff is apparent. And in a steakhouse that charges $ 50-$ 60 per steak, there comes an expectation of exceptional service. This did not happen, and was apparently lacking in not just our server, but in the six or seven people that we did deal with. Sorry, never again.

I was asked to call and confirm my Rez. I did this. I was asked to tweet upon arrival. I did this. After 30 minutes I was walked to a table that was filled. I was asked to sit at the bar again. Never once offered a word of apology or regret. Just silly for a restaurant of this caliber.

Bourbon Steak matches ones expectation for a restaurant sequestered in an upscale hotel where the temptation and ability to dine off-site is limited and certainly not encouraged. The décor is sleek and modern with a well trained staff and fits the mold of modern steakhouses a la STK, 5A5, etc … The prices are on the higher side and with an extensive wine list is partially justified. The signature dish, steak, was ok but is wood-fire grilled which adds a unique flavor profile that I generally don’t care for, but was mild enough that I enjoyed the meal. The over-sized side dishes are pricy but the portion sizes are substantial. This is a meal that is best enjoyed with 4 or more people so that you can partake of a little bit of each side. The most disappointing part of the meal was the Wedge Salad — this is a classic dish and was underwhelming and much too expensive for what was delivered. The nice surprise with the meal is the standard delivery of pomme frites with a variety of dipping sauces. All in all, not a bad meal but I suspect better suited to hotel guests than others.

This place delivers period! Expensive, but delivers!!! The cowboy steak or bone in ribeye is very good. VERY!!! It is worth the $ 75 they charge for it! Juicy, tasty, tender yet flavourfull… This is what we are talking about… When you walk in the doors, you expect no less than this… well, congrats management, servers and mainly CHEF! I will just write about this as I have reviewed this place many times and the rest is also very nice… They have a great cave with severall 100 pointers by Robert Parker, but I choose to bring my own wine and they have no problem with that… Wish they brought back the 50% discount on wine mondays… Anyways, congrats and cheers.

Excellent steakhouse. Very expensive The staff: Attentive and polite. My only complaint is that they did not inform us of the current market prices for that evening. We ordered wagyu beef which can be pricey however should the server had told us the market price that evening was $ 200 we would’ve ordered something else. The environment: The restaurant is dark and decorated well. There is no view it’s located in the center of the hotel. I suggest a booth table for a date the rest of the restaurant is vey open and can be distracting and lack intimacy The food: We had the pork belly appetizer which was good. The complimentary french fries with dipping sauces were great we liked the Rosemary flavor the best. The complimentary truffle popcorn was oily and had an odd after taste. The Caesar salad was ok nothing unique. The wagyu beef(all $ 200 of it) was excellent. It came pre-sliced with wasabi and a dipping sauce. It was cooked well. The price: This is an expensive steakhouse our check was over $ 350. I would save this for a special event.

One of the many benefits of working with wholesalers are the meals the y bring to our teams. Steakhouses are common offerings and this is one of the best in Aventura. Start off with the fries cooked in duck fat. They offer three versions and each offer a unique dipping sauce. You then move into your choice of entrees, and the filet is a must have. It’s so tender that it literally melts in your mouth. Desert has some of the typical South Florida favorites like Keylime Pie and Crème Bruele. Not your healthiest options but gotta enjoy the entire meal and experience. Follow up with a cocktail or coffee treat to end a very positive visit. Looking forward to revisiting when possible.

Food was very good as it was the first time I’ve tried a grass fed beef filet as it had a profound taste and was much lighter in texture, it’s was excellent. The truffle Mac n cheese was very good as well. Very busy and a bit noisy but the wait staff keep you on your toes as they check on your more than average which is good and bad depending on what your tastes are. Went for my mom’s bday dinner & it was a special as can be. First off, the place is gorgeous, love the set up and dim lighting, very fancy & exclusive inside the Turnberry. Knowing it was her Bday, the staff gave her a Bday card signed by them and extra goodies throughout the night, like complimentary appetizers & a dessert. The food was excellent I had the Bbq Rib eye and it was cooked to perfection. It came with a warm potato salad that was ok. Forgot to mention we ordered from the Miami Spice menu and overall the everyone was happy with their meal.

Another Friday night in September… another Miami Spice adventure. Bourbon Steak from Michael Mina is located at the Turnberry Hotel. Monday through Friday 5PM-8PM the bar hosts their«Lift Your Spirits» happy hour with select nine dollar cocktails. The happy hour menu was not readily offered to us, just the regular cocktail menu. Upon request, the happy hour menu was provided. My favorite, a Manhattan, was on the list so the decision was simple. Their happy hour menu included several other potent potables including a Dark & Stormy, Classic Martini and Cosmopolitan. But the star was the complimentary truffle butter popcorn. It was fresh and warm. Our dinner reservation was at 7:30PM but we spent a little extra time at the bar, which was not a problem. Online there were some bar bites, but again, only the regular menu was offered. The happy hour specials were only available while at the bar, so we took advantage of a few before dinner. But as 8:00 approached, we needed to take our seats in the dining room. Before dinner, instead of the bread selection you would find in a typical restaurant, Bourbon Steak offers a plate of their duck fat fries– three different seasonings on the fries and three dipping choices. This gets the meal off to a fantastic start. After the fries were devoured, there was bread. Oh, was there bread… a potato focaccia served in a warm skillet. As this wasn’t our first time dining at the restaurant, we knew to ask for this. It seems that this bread isn’t always regularly brought to the table although there are bread plates. The spice menu included several wonderful choices. For an appetizer I chose the Black Mission Figs & Humboldt Fog Goat Cheese with Grilled Radicchio, Walnut, and Aged Balsamic. My wife had the Lobster Corn Risotto which was very tasty. We ordered an extra appetizer for the table(there were four of us), an Ahi Tuna Tartare which had an nice, mild spice to it. For an entrée we both chose the BBQ Glazed Angus Rib Eye. It was served with Jalapeño Corn Bread, Warm Whole Grain Potato Salad. The steak was wonderfully prepared. The BBQ glaze was not too overpowering and the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare… with a cool red center. My wife was not a fan of the potato side. For the entrée I asked the waiter for a glass of Cabernet without consulting the wine list. I told him I wanted something strong, and his choice was perfect. For dessert, the item that caught my eye was the Cracker Jack Sundae with Popcorn Ice Cream, Salted Caramel Sauce, and Candied Peanuts. It was served in a tall sundae glass. Every bite was more delicious than the last. My wife thought it was a little heavy on the whipped cream, but still great. Parking is by valet only, and Bourbon Steak will validate… making it just $ 8. The waitstaff was friendly and very attentive. We spent quite a long time at the table even after our dinner and never felt rushed to leave.

We finally popped our Miami Spice cherry with Bourbon Steak being such an excellent pick by Brenda P for our MS2015UYE! With your arrival to the Turnberry Isle Hotel you will be greeted by the friendly Valet guys that are quick and responsive. Once you are inside make sure to get your Valet Ticket validated to drop the price from $ 18 to $ 8! Walking into the hotel you will see that it is quite easy to find Bourbon Steak without having to search the whole hotel. We arrived a bit early and decided to grab a drink at the bar. WOW! Very impressive, organized, and STOCKED Full of Bourbons & Whiskeys! They have a highly descriptive Bourbon menu that describes all the hints and notes of flavors that are in each Bourbon. I picked my poison; St. George B&E and our talented bartender went to work to make the perfect cocktail! Top Notch! They also serve savory popcorn at the bar to snack on with your sips! Our UYE group arrived and we were off to our table located in a very convenient great spot! We had 14 people in our party and our server was on point all night with helpers to make for a smooth dining experience! Everyone had a great time conversing and laughing while dinner flowed on! Always a great sign of exceedingly high service! Our Miami Spice selections started off with my husband and I both having the excellent Maine Lobster Risotto. This had large chucks of Maine Lobster and the Risotto was cooked absolutely perfect! I would definitely say this was my favorite dish of the evening! For the Main Course I chose the Organic Chicken Breast and my husband ordered the BBQ Glazed Angus Rib Eye! Both were the best main dishes I have had at a Steak House in a loonng time! The Chicken was super moist with an outside crisp served with Creamy Sautéed Spinach and Pesto Gnocchi both presenting high quality of taste! My husband Rib Eye was cooked to order being superbly juicy and seasoned to perfection!(Brenda I had my eye on your Florida Rock Shrimp Scampi it also looked amazingly good and would be my next pick!) Dessert Time has presented itself in the form of a light pure Valrhone Chocolate Cake! Navel Orange Flavor with Olive Oil Gelato for the perfect balance! This was the ultimate finish to my meal! My husband had the Seasonal Sorbet Mini Pops and they were also very delicious, fruity, and perfect size! Overall, the portions sizes could not have been better; not too much and definitely no dab food! Our whole dining event was a success and a good one at that! If you get a chance to check out their Miami Spice Menu you will not be disappointed! Bourbon Steak is a beautiful restaurant; now to go back for the full menu!

Well I finally popped my Bourbon Steak cherry, and did so for Miami Spice at an amazing UYE set up by Brenda P! I’ll go ahead and let you know now that I’m rounding my review up to 5 stars. The food itself was great, but I have a feeling ordering off the regular menu is probably a little better than the Spice menu, which is making me right now hover around 4.5 stars. That being said, the ambiance would get 10 stars from me if possible, and the service was outstanding as well. After valet parking($ 8 with restaurant validation) we headed inside to the host station. I happened to arrive at the same time as Brenda and Larry and we had our valet ticket validated immediately while mulling over whether or not we should wait for the entire party before sitting. As it turned out, others were already at the bar waiting, so we headed to our table. Sadly, the enclosed glass room table was already booked(looked stunning — so if you have a large party definitely request this), but we sat near by and still found the ambiance to elegant and stunning. After some time with the menus and wine list, orders were placed and the TRIOOFFRENCHFRIES to start were brought out. As my side of the table loved the white sauce a few extra helpings of that one sauce were brought out upon request, as were any other items requested as the night went on. Again, service was awesome. And this would be a good time to note — separate checks were managed from the get-go which made for seamless paying at the end. As we came to do Miami Spice, I stuck with that menu and tried the CORNANDLOBSTERRISOTTO, the RIBEYE and the CHOCOLATECAKEWITHOLIVEOILICECREAM. Ok, so let’s start in the beginning. The risotto was good, and was the perfect portion size. I think the jalapeño was a great addition for the overall flavor, but I secreted was eyeing the salmon pastrami that others had ordered. The ribeye was perfectly cooked, and I loved the«potato salad» which was more like a smashed baked potato. Though, ordering an additional side from the regular menu, to go with this entrée is a great way to go to ensure you’ll be full. The chocolate cake fell a little flat for me, and although the ice cream was solid, it wasn’t enough to make me want to order this dish again. Kind of wished I had gotten the cracked jack sundae! Fellow Unilocaler Edwin P. also ordered the TRUFFLEDMACANDCHEESE as a side and I happily indulged in a few bites. I’ll have to disagree with Brenda P. on one thing, I loved the broccoli in the mac and cheese. Definitely not traditional, but worked for me because I love both broccoli and mac and cheese lol. And since everyone likes to share, I may have gotten a few bites(licks, whatever you call it lol) of the DESSERTPOPS. The guava pop was the winner! Honestly, I can’t wait to come back! I’m telling you, the ambiance of this place wowed me so much I can’t wait to dine here again!

Brenda’s Miami Spice is to formal dining(pressed guayavera for me) what the DFP is to picnics! Although I’m going to sound like a teenager, here it goes: OMFG the complementary appetizer fries are frigging awesome bro! Served with 3 different seasonings(including one seasoned with chives) and three different dipping sauces, they provide a great introduction to your meal. Of the sauces, I preferred the spicy ketchup and a sweetish BBQ sauce. The fries still have it! Besides the aforementioned fries, my favorite courses were the salad and the main course. The salad course was a generous helping of radicchio, mission figs and aged Humboldt Fog goat cheese, along with a spread of balsamic vinegar. It was all very flavorful and well presented. Next up was the main course of BBQ glazed(medium well for me) Angus Ribeye with potato salad and a jalapeño corn bread. Everything was the right temperature and the bbq sauce was just this side of sweet, without overwhelming the beef flavor. Of the desserts courses, I chose the 3 sorbet pops. My favorite of these were the guava and Mango flavored ones, as well as the complementary dark chocolate covered orange we received. Décor and wait staff are part of what makes a dining experience for me, and I have to say that Bourbon Steak gets great marks there as well. The general manager, our servers and bussers were pleasant, even helping us with the requisite group pictures. The conversation was still as lively and memorable as ever, as I look forward to next year’s. Thank you again Brenda!

Bourbon Steak is back on top and probably the best restaurant in the north half of Miami(and worth a drive from Broward too). For me, it’s a perennial favorite for the Miami Spice promo(where in Aug/Sept they have a 3-course $ 39 dinner). Dinners always begin with an «Amuse» of 3 types of duck fat fries with 3 dipping sauces that make it really hard to hold back. Equally amazing pre-dinner event is the truffled potato bread served in a skillet. And these are the freebies! For appetizer I had the lobster risotto, and it’s a no-brainer: it has both lobster, and it has risotto. Two of the best things in the world. Order this. You’re welcome. It’s a finalist for«best bite of 2015». Mains — last year the winner was the fish(see last year’s review below), but this year reports were that the shrimp scampi was the weak link, so I had to go with steak — not huge portion, but as part of this multi-course meal it was more than enough. Desserts — I went with the cracker jack sundae, and it was probably the sweetest thing I’ve eaten since the Macallan butterscotch pudding I had at Bourbon Steak in a prior Miami Spice visit. I loved it though, but if you are less of a sweet tooth, I’ve heard great things about the chocolate cake option. I washed this all down with a couple of cocktails(dine in the lounge part of the restaurant, and you can get them for $ 9 apiece from 5−8pm). You can get a list at the restaurant website under«happy hour», and they make a mean manhattan. Service from Victor was fantastic, and as noted in many other Unilocal reviews, it’s the service that really brings in the 5th star. I was happy to see a big improvement from last year(but dining on a weeknight this year, vs. a weekend last year, may have a lot to do with the amount of attention you receive too). Corsair(the other, newer, restaurant at Turnberry), would do well to take a page from the Bourbon Steak guidebook on customer service, as it is the thing that clearly separates the 2. Finally I must note that another change from 2014 is that valet parking is no longer complementary. I didn’t even notice this on my last visit to Turnberry(August lunch at Corsair) because I walked, but this is a most unwelcome development: regular unvalidated parking is a whopping $ 17, which seems particularly harsh given the proximity to the ocean-sized parking lot at the massive Aventura Mall right next door. Even with validation the rate is $ 8, which approaches the $ 12 you pay at the Fontainebleau, and that to me is a little outrageous.

Okay, so maybe going to Bourbon Steak to celebrate a 4th grade honor roll was a little extreme. But our 10 year old really worked for this so we let him pick any restaurant he wanted. Well, this little guy better continue to get top grades and get a great job when he grows up because he has caviar tastes! Bourbon Steak is not cheap, but it is a class act all the way. Before I even discuss the food though, I have to comment on the service: Absolutely superb!!! Our server and her entire team team treated us like royalty. They even treated the boys like little princes. The food was very good, with no major misses. Items I loved: Duck Fat Fries as an amuse bouche: 3 flavors of fries, 3 sauces… so much fun to dip and mix & match! With our kids and our appetites we asked for another order and our server happily obliged. Miso Sea Bass: the fish was so succulently sweet and the miso added just the right amount of saltiness. Delicious!!! Molten Cake: I am not usually a chocolate fan but this cake with the oozing chocolate center and the expresso ice cream was absolutely sinful. My only complaint about this dessert(and the others) was that the portion was really too small. I did not order a dessert figuring that three desserts would be more than enough to share but they were so small, my men only gave up very small bites so I could taste them. Items I liked: Short Rib: good, but I have had better Steak: 10yr old made me promise that I would write his opinion of his 14oz NY Strip — that this steak was the best he ever had… crisp on the outside, tender, juicy, everything a steak should be. I tasted this and the 8oz Filet Mignon Husband ordered. Now keep in mind that I normally do not like steak(which is why I don’t order it!). To me, both steaks tasted no different than any other steak I have tried in a fine steak house. Creamed Spinach: with fried onions on top, this tasted almost as good as the creamed spinach at The Palm, which is my favorite. Beignets with Crème Brûlée Sauce: tasted good, but when I hear beignet I can’t help but think of Café DuMonde in New Orleans and these could not compare. Items that were«okay»: Mashed Potatoes: nothing special. Truffle Mac & Cheese: thanks to Brenda P for the alert in her review that this side come with broccoli. With the two kids in tow we ordered it without the broccoli, but the kids still did not like it due to the very sharp flavor of the cheese. I would not order this again. S’mores dessert: loved the ice cream in this dessert, with a caramel popcorn topping, but I did not really care for the other part(although I could not tell you exactly what was in it). I know it sounded good when 10 year old ordered it but it did not live up to expectations. Bourbon Steak has a classic décor and a clubby type of atmosphere Indeed, many of the customer seemed to be regulars. I don’t think we will ever be regulars at Bourbon Steak, but it will be on our list for special occasion dining venues.

Fantástico restaurante! Ambiente sofisticado, adega muito variada, e carnes no ponto certo. Ótima pedida em Aventura.

I treated myself to a spa day weeks ago. I ended my pampering with the best treat ever: dinner at Bourbon Steak. It was a celebration of my own hard work and effort, so why not go big?! For starters, the Turnberry Isle is just absolutely beautiful. It is an astonishing establishment. Walking into the restaurant, I was greeted very cordially by the host. The wine cellar was impressive. The restaurant lighting set a very romantic mood with dim lighting and dark wood furniture, yet still a very modern/trendy feel to this steak house. The booth I sat in was very comfortable. it was Miami Spice month, which I never seem to follow, but tried extremely hard to this evening. I began with the duck-fat fries. Yes, you read correctly: duck-fat fries! The fries were accompanied by three homemade sauces: paprika ketchup, an onion and rosemary sauce. The fries were excellent: crispy, savory, and when dunked into each individual sauce transformed to an even better tasting burst of flavor. They were exquisite! My steak… oh, how I wish I had a piece of that steak right now. It was a succulent ribeye cheek, perfectly warm, tender and rare, served over decadent butter and truffle risotto. Because my waiter insisted, I placed an order of their homemade ciabatta bread with butter. This bread was cheesy, moist, warm buttery goodness. However, I could not finish it all, so I offered it to two very nice gentleman dining next to me(who were out of towners). They thoroughly enjoyed it. The grand finale to this symphony of food was their version of snickers and a chocolate truffle lolilop. No words necessary, picture attached. I’m not a big fan of sweets, but let me tell you… I ate the ENTIRE thing. If you’ve not tried the artistry of this culinary mastermind known as Michael Mina, you need to before you die.
