Zeek’s On 6th

I LOVED Zeek’s. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. We learned the hard way that they’re not BYOB anymore, and had to awkwardly eat brunch with 3 sealed bottles of champagne on the table, but everything else made up for that part of the experience. I cannot wait for them to re-​open on E 11^th.

Consistently good sandwiches and small plates. I stop by here for a quick bite whenever I’m in the neighborhood. European vibe, good for privacy or a small group. Friendly & helpful service as well! Keep in mind that it is a small, cozy, quaint spot with only one cook. But the wait is worth it.

Best burger in town!!! I get their burger every week and every week it is on point! Fresh ingredients! Smiling faces! Great customer service! I also love their breakfast tacos. I recommend this place to everybody!

My girlfriends and I were visiting from California and we decided to try Zeek’s for brunch. It is BYOB, so be prepared to grab your own bottle of champagne if you want mimosas.
Everything about this place was fantastic. We loved the laid back, but chic, vibe. The service was incredible and they even gave us tips and recommendations for things to do while in Austin. And the food was absolutely delicious!
The Brussels sprouts are amazing. One my friends hates Brussels sprouts, and even she was a fan!

I had no idea what to expect when we walked into Zeek’s but I found it refreshing. We have so many swanky new restaurants downtown which I am a huge fan of. But I also appreciate the places that focus on food & friendly interaction with customers and less about «flashy and new».
Zeek’s on 6^th is a small intimate restaurant. The casual spot is open for lunch and limited evening hours. I met up with Joe C. for lunch here this weekend and I enjoyed the dining experience. I was pleased to find Topo Chico and fresh salads on the menu. They also have some incredible looking entrees, brunch items and daily specials. I opted for the arugula salad with creamy goat cheese, walnuts and added shrimp. The salad tasted wonderful and the plump shrimp were both seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had a bite of the daily special that Joe ordered and I thought it was incredible. It was salmon topped with an egg and some salty/​tasty bacon.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to brunch on a Saturday morning Zeek’s on 6^th is worth checking out.

Tiny place that is so underrated! I went for brunch with a friend and had their special while he had an egg sandwich. Both were amazing and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The brussel sprouts were also amazing! This is a great hidden gem and I can’t wait to bring other friends back!

WOW! my favorite hidden gem located on W 6 street in downtown Austin. I’ve had a few of the menu items my favorite being the argentine chimmichurri sandwich that axel, one of the owners makes! Also, believe it or not the brusselsprouts are phenomenal. The location is great and the service is even better. A relatively new spot that is a must try!

Visited Zeek’s for Saturday brunch to kick off a bachelorette weekend. The food was amazing — hello brussel sprouts, salmon benedict, bacon wrapped figs, strawberries romanoff and byob, 86 the corking fee!!! Chef, Zeek and Axel took such great care of our group and even gave us a list of recommendations for our big Saturday night out! I highly recommend Zeek’s and hope to visit again the next time I’m in town.

New to the area, wasn’t sure where to have a lunch date with a girlfriend and the pictures looked nice online but it turned out to be a very tiny bistro connected to a hair salon. Not a deal breaker for a casual lunch but was a little awkward to watch an unhappy girl get her hair blow dried as we ate. Had to walk through the salon to go to the bathroom. Would be good for a more casual lunch, but wouldn’t recommend for a first date or girly brunch. Also no music, maybe it was paused? Didn’t notice till the end of the visit. Despite the size, excellent 5 stars service, and food was tasty in my opinion. They accommodate and seem to make the most of it, keeping the place looking as nice as possible. Could be improved if they added some tunes, frosted that glass salon door, and got a separate restroom. We also wanted to have a drink but again, the food and service was good, hope they get approved for their alcohol licence as the server noted they might. Now that I know what to expect I’d be more open to it and I still want to try the rest of the menu. Wouldn’t be a bad spot if you’re grabbing a quick bite to eat solo too.

I was very impressed with the my service at Zeek’s on 6^th. The guys who own the place are very friendly, while being super professional at the same time. My order and food were taken care of in a timely manner, and the food is AMAZING. Always ask about the daily special! The day I came in I had the fried egg sandwhich on a French baggette with a side of fresh fruit and my taste buds were very happy. Also, if you’re into brussel sprouts, GET THEIR BRUSSEL SPROUTS. SO. GOOD. My second time going into the restaurant, I had the Jazmine rice and Salmon, which was also delicious, prefer it medium well. You really can’t go wrong at this place. As I sit here for my third time in the restaurant, I have been able utilize their FREE WIFI (heck yeah) and work on my laptop while enjoying their freshly brewed coffee, with some yummy pancakes and fruit.

We ordered from here today… Really wish we had not.
I ordered a Royal with Cheese. What I got was a bland, cold, meat patty on a roll, with very little shredded cheese melted on top.
I requested a well-​done burger. But, I could not even finish it, since there was a cold red spot in the middle. I’m kind of worried that I may get food poisoning from this, since I ate a little (and it was not fully cooked).
Aside from the burger, the chips that came with it were very stale. And, the lettuce was wilted and looked very old (I did not put that on my burger). The bun, instead of the condiments requested, had a tiny spot of mustard on one side.
I can honestly say that this was the WORST hamburger I have every had. Be very careful trying this restaurant out. It seems that they are not concerned with properly prepared food.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! I had a sister lunch here and the staff was amazing and the food was divine! One of my favorite parts is its byob so you can enjoy the amazing food and pair it with non over priced wine that you find at other restaurants. This is truly a neighborhood gem :)

3.5 … Bring your own Wine! :) Service is great– and comfortable. We really enjoyed talking to the owners and staff– Brussels Sprouts (I usually prefer mine roasted vs. fried but the sauce made them delicious, Aimee’s Sauteed Squash and Zucchini were good not great. The Zeeks Original Fries were very good. I had the Chimmichurri Roast Beef with the homemade chimmichurri and the GF had the Chickpea — both were scrumptious. Their choices of sandwiches made it hard to decide. I would say the layout was a bit odd and the floor should be just be made concrete with the kitchen having more protective separation from the front seating area as another Unilocaler Eddie M. mentioned and I would agree with all his points. That would improve the ambiance and easily make this place a 4 star. But we will definitely come here again!

Stumbled across Zeeks the other day, it’s easy to miss if you don’t know where it is. Parking is easy because they have a lot. This place is locally owned and the staff/​owners were very friendly and personable. They actually care about your experience there and want it to be a good one.
The food was delicious. Not to mention they make their sauces in house. We started with the brussel sprouts and I’d rank them in the top three I’ve had in Austin. We’d prefer them to be more crispy though. Knowing this was out first time here, the owner gave us a sample of the bacon wrapped figs which were the bomb. For our entrees we ordered the Dirty Benedict and the Early Bird. The DB was divine, perfect hangover food. The EB was pretty good, I’d probably order something else next time as it is just a simple breakfast. Everything was cooked well but the hash browns were pretty much just cut up French fries. They were still good but I’d prefer something more potato-​y.
This is a perfect place for brunch and I’d highly recommend checking it out!

Really great place! Brussels sprouts are amazing! Try them! The place is really good and the manager is really kind, definitely a place I would come back for lunch since my office happens to be close.

Zeeks was impressive. Awesome environment and outstanding service. The owner went above and beyond and even let us try their fig wraps which were an awesome blend of bacon and goat cheese. Definetly will be back to try more from the assortment of fresh menu items.

Used to be Blake’s On 6^th. After Blake’s closed, the staff banded together to reopen the restaurant. It just reopened today. Similar menu to Blake’s but with better hours.
You can get breakfast here all day!
I had their fancy grilled cheese which was excellent. I also had their fried mushrooms which were a big hit. Very convenient and they have a lot attached to it for parking.
