The location of White House Black Market at Barton Creek Square has changed and so has the attitude of the sales associates. I went there today to exchange a pair of jeans because the metal label came off. The sales associate copped an incredulous attitude with me before I could even explain that I wasn’t asking for money and just wanted the jeans replaced. I had already called the company directly and was told to take the jeans into the store and they would be replaced with no issues. I only had the jeans for 3 months and would expect them to last a little longer than that. The woman immediately started telling me they wouldn’t be offering me a refund and etc, etc, since I didn’t have a receipt. I tried to explain I am a Black Book member and all my purchases would be on my account in their system but she never offered to look that up. If she had taken the time to do so, she would have seen that I’ve spent over $ 1,000 there within the last 6 months, have never returned anything, and maybe then she wouldn’t have treated me like a thief. The manager spoke with the sales associate, in front of me, not to me, and confirmed I was wanting the same jeans, same size, same everything, so they handed me a new pair of jeans and I left. Never once did I receive an apology. I was really wanting to do some spring shopping but I felt so unwelcome that I decided not to. Back in September I had a great sales associate who helped me put together a work wardrobe, so the 2nd star is for her. I don’t know who these new people are, but they need an attitude adjustment.

Judy, was by far the BEST customer service oriented sales person, I have ever ever met. She truly enjoys what she does, and it shows! She went above and beyond to help my daughter find an after wedding dress/reheasal dinner, hopefully she will decide .LOL. Judy made our evening a real treat. She is an asset to this store. I love this store. It is one of the few boutique stores which the staff helps you create an outfit. What I like about the staff is they often have you try on clothes you would NEVER consider wearing as most of us limit ourselves to the same basic and boring clothing. I have big breasts, so I often steer from anything that further accentuates them, since I am a firm believer there is a time and place to show off the girls and as a rule work is not one of those places. Shopping at White House Black Market has provided options for tops and dresses which the«ladies» are controlled and confined, yet I still appear professional and not cougarish or like a Real Housewife of anything… Entering White House Black Market is like being on one of those clothing makeover shows. I never leave disappointed and I consistently spend at least $ 300 bucks at each visit and it is worth every penny. I pride myself at looking professionally polished when I travel for work, and the staff at White House Black Market make sure that there is not one overlooked detail.

So about a month ago I went to White House Black Market to return something. It was a Sunday so they weren’t open yet because it was 11:50 am and they open at 12. I was sitting on a bench waiting until 12. Around 11:55 I noticed other customers were walking in so I went in. I went to return my item and a sale person walks in and ask if she was late because there were customers. The lady at the register said to the other sales person«no these people just pushed open the doors when we weren’t even open. What a great way to start our day» in the rudest tone. I was standing right there waiting to return my item. I thought it was the RUDEST thing. So I didn’t write a review then because I thought she must of had a bad day but my mom and I went I today and had another horrible experience. Today my mom and I went to get a difference back from the full price she spent on 2 dresses 12 days ago that now on sale for $ 100 less than what she paid. 2 days ago we were at the WHBM in the domain and they said they could give the money back so that is why we went back today. When we went the lady at the register to let her know she told us we couldn’t do that because it is over 10 days(spoke to us very rudely). We walked out and then I told my mom to just return the full price item and buy the sale items so we did. The whole time we were doing this the other register lady and manager were giving us horrible looks. My mom and I shop a lot at WHBM and to be treated that way! We know to always go to the WHBM in the domain because they are SOMUCH nicer. I recommend not shopping here!!!

If you don’t want to think about math and receipts and junk like that don’t read this review. .. my head is still spinning. I am nearly convinced with some of my experiences at Barton Creek, this mall is full of thieves and charlatans. My visit today didn’t change my opinion. The wife wanted some new clothes. Great, I’ll take the iPhone into the Genius Bar next door and get that looked over. When I returned she was in the dressing room trying on MANY items. My wife is picky and some dresses I thought looked great on her, she didn’t care for. I am pretty sure it was annoying the sales girl, Rachel. I could tell she was getting exasperated. Look, I can get exasperated with my wife trying on clothes, but you aren’t allowed! This is your J-O-B! My wife had a $ 50 off $ 200 coupon. It wouldn’t apply to the three sale items she had already decided on buying, so she tried on another more expensive dress and loved it. The three previous items were at the counter where Rachel had already rung them up and saved the transaction. My wife decided she didn’t want one of those items so asked that it be taken off the transaction. Rachel takes off an item my wife wants instead and charges us for the piece of clothing my wife doesn’t want. which is, of course, about $ 10 more. Everything was correctly bagged up, however. Instead of $ 50 being subtracted as a coupon at the end of the receipt, a percentage is taken off each item. My wife watches receipts like a hawk. I guess I should too. I wonder how many times I’ve been screwed and didn’t even realize! She catches the mistake of course. We return to the store and show Rachel what happened. She isn’t apologetic and acts like it’s OUR fault! She does a return of the phantom item and charges us for the item we actually had in possession and refunds us $ 10 and change. We leave once again. My wife then realizes the coupon wasn’t applied to the new item. We do a quick check with the calculator app and determine we are owed ANOTHER $ 10 and change. Back we go. The manager went in the back to ask Rachel what was going on with the transaction. Rachel wouldn’t even come out and talk to us! It was like she was hiding! She just told the manager we were owed 6.75! I pressed the issue and said I figured it up and it was $ 10 and change. Finally after 5 minutes Rachel emerges to face us. The number becomes $ 7, $ 8, $ 9 and finally the number I had figured up. All of this could have been solved so much easier! In fairness, the new sales associate at the register was very sorry and apologized multiple times. Rachel? Not once! Personally, I thought we were really nice about the whole incident. This is one of my all-time favorite places to shop. :-) I have purchased many wonderful items here and always get compliments on them! Sometimes the sales section is limited, but it is always worth a check.(Pro tip: the website often has a much bigger selection of sales items!) The people who work there are always really helpful and if you become a «member»(free) then all the coupons you’re eligible for are saved in their system — you don’t have to bring any coupons with you! Return policy is excellent(you can return items you buy online at the store). They also have a great price adjustment policy. I wholeheartedly recommend this store!

Yeah, I wasn’t too happy with the customer service that I received here today. I shop here often and came in looking for a particular pair of shoes, and the sales girl did retrieve them promptly. However, the wind went out of my sails when I saw that the shirt that I purchased less than a month ago for $ 118 was now $ 79.99. When I asked the sales girl what their policy was when an item goes from full price to sales price, she looked at me like I was crazy! They give you the difference at a lot of other stores if it’s within a certain amount of time, I swear! Whatever, it annoyed me. I just wanted to buy my shoes and get the hell out of there, but, of course, the sales girls were too busy chatting and made me stand there awkwardly with all my bags plus waiting for her chatty a$$ to get over there and ring me up. Thanks for the measly 5% black book discount, WHBM.
