Whataburger

Whataburger is solid. I love Texas and I love Whataburger. It doesn’t really matter which one you go to, the options are all the same and they’re very consistent.
Over the years the chicken sandwich has gotten way better. I like the honey bbq chicken strip sandwich but will often customize a cheeseburger with lots of jalapenos and pickles. Go ahead and test them out, they will get your burger right!

Now let me start by saying I love Whataburger as a company. Had it not been for Whataburger, who knows what junk I would have been fed growing up. You can say Whataburger (s) (in Mcallen, Mission, Edinburg) were a big part of my meals growing up. For me its a home type of restaurant, since I have had it so much. However this location. I have been living in the part of Austin, TX and this is my closest location. This location is by far the most mess up’s. 90% of the time and I mean this people 9 out of 10 times this place messes up my orders.
The staff is usually in a bad mood and angry. I don’t even bother calling anymore the managers never seem to get the mess up’s under control. It’s a constant issue that has me at a point that I go elsewhere since I don’t want to drive to another Whataburger location.
I wish this place location could get their act together as I miss eating the food on a regular.

I asked for 7 spicy ketchups. I received 8. This store literally gave 114.29%. I would give 7 stars if I could.
Also the iced tea was very refreshing. It quenched my thirst in such a way that I’ve began to question what it truly means to be dehydrated. After this iced tea experience, I don’t know if I will ever be thirsty again.

Very friendly employees. Great customer service! He got my order right and brought it to my table with a tray of anything I might need. I was suprised. Because most places just call out a number n you go get it.
Only reason I didn’t give this place a higher score was because while I was eating, I looked over at the person making the burgers.. and oh my god.. She did not use gloves AT ALL! I saw her touch every single ingredient with her bare hands! Bacon, buns, pickles. everything was on her skin then into my mouth.
The burger actually tasted ok till I saw that.. Idk
I just lost my appetite

Went thru the drive thru tonight and ordered $ 20 bucks worth of food not realizing it was only Thursday and direct deposit doesn’t hit til tomorrow. We tried narrowing our food selection. when it was all said and done the manager and the young girl working the window gave us the meals instead. I’ve never had a restaurant do that.ever. I was in tears at the generosity and customer service this whataburger demonstrated. They didn’t have to do that. random act of kindness at work here!

The employees are very friendly and always get my order right, but I’ve had dry chicken from this location a few times. They need to make sure they aren’t hanging onto it too long when it’s really time to make another batch.

Can’t figure out why this place is so much a go to spot. At 12:30 there is inadequate searing. The place is filthy and the taste of toast cooked o a dirty grill says the kitchen is just as bad. Too many options in this area to waste your money and time here.

Food is always good and fresh. Excellent customer service. My favorite fast food joint. Fast service.

Whataburger is great! The burgers are huge and the fries good. The spicy ketchup is awesome with everything. I’d recommend Whataburger to anyone who’s never had it.

I dont know what it is about Whataburger that I love so much. I know its just a simple hamburger and onions rings but it makes me happy. When I have Whataburger something inside me lights up.
I go to this particular location a lot because its the closest to my home and the employees are always great! I really respect how hard they work and how fast they seem to be able to turn out such quality food.
There was one instance where my food was slightly slow coming out. When I did get the food they had upgraded my onion ring order to a large from a small to thank me for being patient.
I know its just fast food but its seriously good fast food and great service! Keep it up Whataburger!

What-​a-​burger!!! Seriously who does not love this place! This particular location is right on interstate 35 so it tends to pick up some characters. If you are ever bored and want to people watch go here between 2 – 4 am … oh another brilliant thing about whataburger is the reliability of them being open … 24 hours! This is perfect for my odd schedule when I am craving a delicious double cheeseburger. I have to say for being a fast food restaurant and all whataburger is pretty fresh with their ingredients. You can also get whatever you want here any way you want it. That is one of their things … if you want your bun to be wheat on top and white on bottom they will do that! And who doesn’t like those cool stickers they put on your special order so you know it is yours?! I also love a late breakfast sandwich here every now and then or a cinnamon roll heated … yummy!
This location is great too because of the people … The cop that is always there, all the people in the late night hours and of course the employees. The employees at this location work hard and do a great job! I

The food was great, the employees are very nice, the drive-​thru sucks. Took around 20 minutes to get through and get food. To me that’s a bit long. There were 4 cars in front of me. Other than that a pleasant fast food experience. Be sure to try the weird sauces and ketchup.

I visited this location as a quick stop on the way to the river today and I was disgusted.
My husband and I split the #13 chicken strips and found a bone inside one of them. Not that the bone is a big deal, I understand that chickens have bones, but the strips are supposed to be boneless. I told one of the employees who said he would inform a manager and the manager never came to speak with us.
The chicken was also extremely dry.
I’ve worked in the food service industry for a few years (never fast food) but come on, it’s the manager’s job to talk to unsatisfied customers. I won’t be back.

It’s not often that I do a review of a fast food place, but my experience here today deserves one. I placed my order quickly with a very friendly Elyssa and my food was delivered shortly by Francisco. Both were very friendly during my visit, including checking on me and clearing my trash for me. My burger had a lot of lettuce, onion and tomato on it, which is really nice. My hats off to this restaurant and its staff. Thanks!

In general whataburger is a tad better than most fast food. This one is just ok tho, staff seems a bit … What’s the word? Well, you get the point.
Lines take for. Ev. … … E… … … R. It’s almost worth the wait tho.
I learned to expect the worst here, and when it’s ok I get happy. Luckily I’m not here more than once a month or so.

Refused to put ketchup on my wife’s burger and told my son they had to charge him. 40¢ for ranch. I’ll never eat here again.

What can I say? It’s Whataburger. I’ve been in Kansas City (where there are none) for the last 10 months and you miss them. Good, fresh burgers that aren’t waiting for you to order them. The fries were slightly over cooked this time.
I did witness a lady who got overly upset that there were no apples in her kids meal. She slammed them down on the counter and was visibly upset that they were not there. I felt like saying: «It’s OK lady, you’re still here and I’m sure they’ll give them to you.» The employees handled it with a lot of restraint. She sat down and opened up her burger… OH MAN LOOK OUT! They did something wrong on her burger! She started yelling and her toothless husband joined in that this was their «second mistake»!! She slammed her burger down on the counter and demanded a new one that was the way she ordered it. Seriously, Lady?!? What’s it like eating spit that much?

The service was quick with no wait. The employee who helped us at the cash register was friendly and extremely funny. The interior was clean and the temperature was perfect. The food hit the spot.

My favorite burger (fast food). Can’t go wrong with toasted buns, patty, cheese and all the veggies you want cooked to perfection. The flavor from their own grill… yumyum. The Texas toast with gravy… on a cold day… I want some right now… :)

I maintain that Whataburger is the In-​n-​Out of Texas, just without all the hype and the insane lines. Had a 5−3−1 burger here after getting into AUS late last month, and was pleased with the general quality of the food (for fast food at least) and the speedy service. No complaints, and easy to get to from I-​35.
