Cool store. There were a lot of random items but nothing that amazed me. Parking is not fun having to reverse into traffic.

I previously reviewed Wanderland in June 2012. Had to review again. Context: Started a carefree, relaxed bike tour company with luxe support(Texas Bike Tours). I needed a water dispenser that was luxe(think lemon slices, herbs) and found it at Wanderland made of beautiful glass. SAG guys/gals(envision powerful cyclist/mechanic) can be hard on equipment and so the spout on the water dispenser broke during a tour. Kelly, owner at Wanderland, called the product-maker, order the part, repaired the water dispenser, kept me informed, and then when I went in to pick it up, NOCHARGE! He didn’t have to do all that. This is just how they roll… excellent customer service. in addition to responsible, fun products. Kelly deserves a carefree, relaxed cycling & culinary experience at NOCHARGE from me. Shop there. Go Local. Be a sustainable purchaser. I wish I was a funny writer. but I am what I am. Deaton

Wanderland is a pretty neat locally owned gift shop. They have kitchen gadgets, home goods, totes, jewelry, eco-friendly gadgets, candles, vases, lotion, soaps, toys, books, pins, you name it. Oh, and they sell Clocky, the alarm clock that runs away from you!(It’s an alarm clock on wheels.) Wanderland is especially good for finding gifts for both guys and gals. Think stainless steel wine gadgets, wallets, flasks, bike chain art. I bought a really cool wooden bracelet made from recycled skateboard planks. Awesome. I do wish they had a larger selection of gifts under $ 10, because sometimes I want to pair a $ 20 bracelet with a little lotion or something less expensive. The shop was a little sparse the last time I went in and could use some organizing, but I think that’s just my neurosis left over from working retail…

Coolest store with best stuff and nicest people win Austin. If you don’t find a creative and fun gist or something special for the house here it is not Wanderland’s fault, it is you so move to Plano.

This shop is super cool! Stopped in here during my lunch break yesterday and no one was in here. There were just so many cool and different things that I had never seen before. My co-worker was looking for something for her cousin who she describes as an «old hippie» and then she said : «You’re going to like this place, because you’re a young hippie.» Well I am no hippie(though other people beg to differ) but I am all about eco-friendly things. They definitely have a variety of random things that would be great gifts for people. I especially loved the wine accessoriess section! You’ll just have to stop in here and see for yourself. Great store for a nice gift for someone.

It’s like Aladdin’s Cave of Wonders in here. I wandered in, looking for a couple of gifts and came out with a. entirely too much and b. more than half for myself. They’ve got everything from eco friendly purses to wine coasters to bird houses to silver wine stoppers to baby gifts to books to aromatherapy to furniture to handmade cards to natural wooden salad bowls to cookware to things for chillin on a patio to welcome mats to mirrors to art to jewelry to games. Mind blown yet? They stay open until 9 pm!!! When you’re rushing to a party and you’ve forgotten your hostess/shower/just because gift, stop in here and pick something up that’s absolutely perfect and you’ll be the envy of all attendees. It’s a little pricey — but is that too much to pay for perfection?

I’m a huge fan of Wanderland. I always go there for cool gifts, and never leave empty handed. It’s great for when you really don’t know what to get someone, or there is the person that has everything… You will find so many great and unique things, that you really feel the recipient couldn’t have what you buy, or will at least really appreciate something unique. The card selection is great as well. Owner is super cool and enjoyable to chat with, bonus.

Very cute store! GREATGIFTS! A good variety of items with a decent price range. The owner is very friendly and super cool. I can see myself stopping by more often now that I’ve actually visited. The owner designed the whole«green built» interior, good work!

I found the coolest set of mid-century drink coasters here. They weren’t cheap, but I couldn’t have found them anywhere else in Austin. The next time I go shopping for birthday cards, I’m driving straight to this little shop. Classy and very personalized cards for your friends and family. This store reminded me of Kuhl-Linscomb in Houston, but on a micro-scale. Parking isn’t too bad since the retail space next door is empty. You do have to be careful backing out during rush hour.

I stopped by Wanderland after many drives past oohing and ahhing over the store front. While I did not purchase anything from there, I definitely wanted to and had to restrain myself. I’m keeping myself under a fairly tight budget these days and trying to curb my desire for all pretty things. It’s definitely going to be one of my go to shops for gifts in the future. The prices are pretty reasonable, the selection is unique and the person working was super friendly and upbeat.

Being on vacation has it’s benefits and drawbacks. The drawback is that you(and by you, I mean me) want to spend money everywhere you go. Especially in all the cool shops that Austin has to offer. The benefit is that you will save money in these shops because you can’t think of how to get everything home. I could have spent hours in this store, buying unique gifts for every person that I know. Being the person who only thinks of herself, I bought something amazingly cool– a clutch purse made out of pop tops. Basically it’s my favorite thing in the world right now. This store is the perfect place to find that perfect something for that perfect someone. Or anything for me.

This is a fun place to spend a bit of time walking around(wandering if you will) and looking for nothing in particular. It is amazing how many things you find here that you«must have» but never thought of before. This store is decidedly different than Monkey See Monkey Do or Toy Joy. I read some other reviews that made comparisons. Yes, there are some toys and fun items, but they also have an eco section for the home and various other things from cookware to gift items. I guess the one thing that is similar is the size of these stores. After hearing the name Wanderland, I had visions of a massive warehouse full of ‘stuff’. Not the case. I like that they have parking directly in front of the store, which is easily seen from the street. I also like that the man working the day I went(the owner?) was very friendly. I will go back to wander another day.

Cutest. Gifts. Ever. My 4 yr old son and I went in today to see what this store was all about. In the heat of the day, we found the store refreshingly cool. Cool A/C. Cool things. Cool that the employee let my little guy use his restroom. Here are some of the remarkable things I saw inside: 1. Solar Powered Paper Laterns(lots of colors!) and table top fireplaces 2. Great magnet selection 3. Journals and Organizers for all types and organizational needs 4. Awesome toys, books and baby gifts. *Really* 5. Beautiful, niche and funky kitchen items and serving pieces 6. Gifts for pets(mostly cats and dogs) 7. Cards and wrapping paper 8. Jewelry, Watches, Purses and Wallets 9. Awesome Doormats. Really. Awesome. 10. Random things, like wooden sparrows(so cute) and quilt art I highly recommend stopping in, if for nothing else to poke around and see what treasures you find. I will be back!

This place is okay. I really shop around for unique crap for my office and house because if I’m going to spend most my time there, I want fun stuff around to enjoy. They had a nice selection of goods, but truthfully, nothing stood out as anything I hadn’t seen at other places(around town or online). I wanted to like the place, but when I showed up, the incense was so strong in the store, I had to leave. I tired to breathe through my mouth and look around, but the smell was so overwhelming and overpowering that I couldn’t spend more than about 10 minutes there. And before anyone tells me to just get over it, I am very sensitive to smells and get nasty day long migraines from intense scents. Incense is one of the triggers that sets me off. I can handle it in small doses, but when I can taste it in the back of my mouth, its too much. So, I looked around as much as I could but won’t be back unless they tone down the aroma.

If you’ve ever had one of those experiences where you actually say to yourself(out loud, mind you) «thank heavens I’m not carrying more money, or I’d be in trouble here,» you’ll know what I’m talking about. There are a dizzying array of clever and alluring gifts to be had, and I was struck by the notion that I either wanted to buy everything for myself or determine who had a special event or day popping up that I could shop regarding that occasion. Got a pet? There are clever doo-dads for Fido or your feline. Got a sense of humor? There’s some overlap you’ll find with a few of the pseudo-organizational items on the shelves at Monkey See Monkey Do. Want some cool glasses for sipping a beverage? A book on DIY advertising? Paper speakers that plug into your iPod? All present and accounted for, and all kinds of fun. I’ll be back here, but if I know anything, it’s mostly that coming back means I’ll need to be careful… lest the spending spree ignite.

LOVE this store! This is great spot to find cool, unique gifts or even some fun things for yourself, house, pets, child, etc. I stopped in here for some post-lunch shopping, not really looking for anything in particular and walk away with a bag full of goodies, and easily would have spent 3 to 4 times as much money as I did. I was also pleasantly surprised by the prices. Several items I picked up were under $ 20. I want to go back for the river rock door mat, paper iPod speakers, some candles, a few books, and garden votive holders. This is really going to be a must stop for me when I have some money burning a hole in my pocket.

I went back again, and this time it was open when it said open! Cool. This is a great little gift shop — a nice eclectic place with lots of different«theme» areas — kids, gardening, kitchen, jewelry, cards, pets, etc. I loved the whole vibe of the store — whoever did the selection of merchandise for sale deserves a pat on the back for having cool, unusual, reasonably priced stuff. Kudos for also having many unique things there — I saw lots of items at this store that I hadn’t seen at any other place before, which is always nice. It is definitely a great place to pick up a gift for a shower, girlfriend’s birthday, or housewarming. You will probably end up getting a little something for yourself too. The only downer is the parking situation. With its head-in parking right off Lamar, it is a challenge to back out of the parking lot, especially during evening rush hour.
