We loved Ellie sooo much! Ellie was amazing, and she captured what I wanted exactly. Ellie did my hair and makeup trial for my engagement photos and bridal shower, and it was perfect — the makeup she used, mostly Laura Mercier, lasted all day and all night long, and Ellie also included false lashes for me to keep with both the trial and the wedding day. On the wedding day Ellie was punctual, friendly, and kept to our timeline which included my hair and makeup, my maid of honor’s hair, and my mom’s makeup. I wanted a change to my eye makeup from my engagement shoot, and Ellie listened to what I had to say and did exactly what I wanted… overall, I am so happy and thankful that I chose Ellie to be my hair and makeup artist, and she is incredibly talented and feels like a friend!

I love Ellie! She is super nice and listens to what you want! I love her style, the make up looked amazing and you end up looking gorgeous but not over done.
Ellie did all my bridesmaids make up and a few girls hair. Everyone’s make up lasted all night and the girls who got their hair done loved their dos! Haven’t received the wedding photos yet but I am sure they will look amazing!

I had a bad hair and makeup trial and was looking for someone else. Ellie responded quickly and after meeting her in person I knew she was perfect for my wedding. I felt confident enough to not even have a trial. When I read reviews on makeup artists, I was annoyed so many focus on the makeup artists personality. But now I understand why. On your wedding day you will be stressed, overwhelmed, and a million people will annoy you, I promise. Ellie will not be one of them. She offers such a calm presence and when I said «shut the bathroom door so I can have quiet» she did.
However, my hair and makeup looked AMAZING. I could never have imagined it so beautiful. My maid of honor looked flawless as well and she made my flower girls look like the little angels they are. I can’t thank you enough Ellie! Worth every penny and I’m so glad we met!

I had an important speaking engagement today that I knew would be videotaped so I wanted to look my best. I booked Ellie to come to my home and do hair and makeup. And then, tragedy struck… I got really sick with cedar fever or the flu or a horrible cold… take your pick. But I could not cancel this engagement because to do so would have really let some people down so I knew that no matter what i had to go.
Yesterday my coughing got so bad that I threw up (sorry to share that part) and, as a result, the capillaries around one of my eyes broke. If you looked at my closely yesterday it kind of looked like I had a black eye. Not a good situation before a presentation.
This morning I got up feeling better but looking like hell. I mean for real.
Enter Ellie (cue Disney music here).
She literally transformed from a beast to a beauty and was cheerful and delightful while she worked her magic. I was overwhelmed by the transformation. I would hire Ellie again in a second. In fact I plan on hiring her for my next speaking engaement or fancy event. Seriously. Best makeup ever. Hair was great too but the makeup was incredible and when I arrived at the event every single person I talked to asked me how I was able to do my makeup so well.
I answered each person honestly: I hired Ellie. And then I handed out her cards to as many people as I could because every woman deserves to be transformed at least once in awhile.

Ellie is the bomb. Literally, she is the best makeup artist I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
Her demeanor and attitude are an incredible asset — my photographer (Kristi Wright, also the bomb) recommended her to me for my bridals and for my wedding day. Her skills and technique are out of this world! She worked on my whole wedding party (5 bridesmaids), my mother AND my grandmother who is usually not up for makeup application — my Mama Nita LOVED Ellie in the end.

I met Ellie one morning when she still worked at the deparment store. I was only planning on buying some make up to wear at my engagement photos that day but she offered to do my makeup. It was amazing and I can’t believe I was planning on doing it myself for such important photos.
Ellie ended up doing my makeup for my August 2009 wedding in Austin. My bridesmaids and I looked perfect. She arrived on time (early), was dressed professionally, and did make up and lashes for all. Even my older sisters who are quite picky were pleased. Plus Ellie is easy to talk to and listens to what you want. If you’re a bride looking for an awesome makeup artist, book Ellie!

Ellie and I met by fate I think.
I was setting up a photo shoot with a bride and tried as I could to convince her to hire a MUA. She didn’t want to spend the money and so she set up an appointment for a «free» make over at one of the local department stores. Free turned into a lot of money but hey I got Ellie!
Since then, I have used Ellie on several shoots and she is not only the sweetest girl alive but she does incredible make up (and hair). Your skin will look flawless when she’s through with you.
She is very professional, a godsend on set and I would recommend her to any one who needs professional make up or just wants to look their best for any occasion.
Ellie now freelances because she is just that good! So hire her!
