Really good pizza, and a great social club to hang at while eating. Interesting style pizza, wasn’t sure about the sauce on top but it was super tasty. Pizza crust is some of the best!

There is a reason this place has expanded so much in so little time they’ve been in Austin and have been voted as some of the best pizza in America.

It’s been half a year since I came to Via 313 and I still remember how AMAZING the pizza here was. Definitely some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor + make sure you add this to your itinerary for your trip to Austin. Indulgent, square-shaped pizza that does not skimp on flavor, cheese, sauce, carby crust. DELICIOUS. There is a whole host of pizza flavors you can choose from too so there is definitely something for everyone — you can either stick with something a little more simple like cheese or pepperoni or you can go for something a little more gourmet or exotic(it’s all up to you — my friend and I wanted to get a more classic option so we could truly taste the pizza quality, and we are so glad we did). You can either sit outside near the food truck, or you can take your pizza inside of the local club/lounge that is just nearby(which is what we did). Make sure you call before you come to make sure they are in operation that day + have ingredients left to prep your pizza :)

Phenomenal pizza! Contrary to a previous person’s review, I think the crust is very much like Chicago style. The crust was fluffy and very tasty. We got The Continental and The Meatball. The Meatball was very cheesy and had just the right amount of sauce on the top. The Continental was not as heavy as the Meatball, but it was topped with a healthy serving of prosciutto. Total for the two pizzas was $ 31. Great place. Will be back.

I did not know Detroit had its own style of pizza, but now I do. This place is a trailer in the parking lot of a bar. You can sit in the bar or on the patios to eat however. The pizzas here come in rectangular shape and have fairly thick crust. We loved the selection they had including gluten-free crust and dairy-free cheese. Once we ordered, we went inside(even with kids, it was early enough in the evening) and found a cozy corner booth. The smell of «bar» was strong, but a great combo as I was able to order a beer to go along with my pizza. It took awhile to get our order(not sure if this was because of the gluten-free crust and dairy-free cheese that we ordered on one of the pizzas or not. We got the pizzas(the cadillac and pepperoni) and immediately dug in. The size was decent and definitely shareable(8×10). Additionally, the crust was really fluffy and satisfying. Note that this location only has pizza.

Via 313 has the BEST pizza! Seriously they have the 2nd best pizza I’ve ever tasted! It’s super crispy and has just the right amount of cheese and sauce and not too greasy. My favorite pizza is The Cadillac with gorgonzola, fig preserves and balsamic glaze on top. It’s too die for. A great combination of flavors. I have not had pizza with those toppings anywhere else. Anytime I’m in Austin I eat at Via 313 at least a couple times. Kind of a good thing I don’t live in Austin I would be there ALL the time!

I went to the Rainey Street location and I was so impressed I ate at this location for dinner. Bad decision. Kinda rude service this past weekend… eventhough we braved the rain just to eat here. I won’t be coming back. Rainey is too close to this locale for me to return.

The pizza was good but not better than chicago style if you want deep dish. It was more like a cheese bread loaf with a dollop of sauce down the middle of each slice. Don’t get me wrong, this was very tasty! Just a little less like pizza and more like cheese bread. Adjust expectations and you’ll be happy. The wait was long and you can sit in the bar next door and they’ll bring it to you but they don’t make it obvious how to get out to the patio so you feel like an idiot trying the exits doors until you find the right one. It’s the one on the right not the one in the back.

True Rating: 3.5÷5 FOOD: Via 313 is known for their Detroit-style pizza which is a square pizza with a thick deep dish crust twice baked — so if you like deep dish, this is a good place to try! There are plenty of combinations to get here! –THECONTINENTAL: This option contains cheese, shaved prosciutto, baby arugula, and shaved parmesan. I absolutely love prosciutto on pizza and I know this is a more expensive meat to usually include in meals so I was pleasantly surprised by the amount they topped the pizza with. The arugula was also fresh, and the crust was delicious — the bottom and edges of the crust has a nice crunch and fried texture and the rest of the crust was chewy in a wonderful way. PRICE: My pizza though was $ 15 which is honestly a little steep for me considering the size of the pizza that was given. I really think the price can be knocked down to $ 13 and then I wouldn’t think too much about price since the thick crust really does fill you up! Regardless, the price is where this place loses stars for me and will honestly kind of keep me from coming back.

Mmmmmm… those crispy corners… I will never forget the crispy corners!!! Mike and I arrived here on a Saturday night around 6:30 — there was a bit of a line but it went by fast and we were able to get a seat on the patio before the place got REAL busy. We ordered The Rocket — the one with the hot soppressata and arugala. It was beautiful — almost too pretty to eat but we dug in! The tomato sauce was so fresh and the toppings were delicious! But the crust was my favorite! Washed down with the alcoholic(or non-alcoholic) beverage of your choice — and this is the perfect meal! Right around when we left — there were people waiting for available tables and the cook time for pizzas went up to an hour plus. So get there early if you can… but it’s worth it.

I freaking love Via 313 … I have been to both food trailers and the brick and mortar several times each! In my opinion it is some of the best pizza you can get in Austin for sure! It’s the best detroit style! I have tried many of the specialty pizzas on the menu. I love the crust and how the cheese goes all they way to the edge of the pizza. The cheese will fry to the sides of the crust and pan and that’s just one more reason why they are so good. I’m a huge fan of pineapple pizza and I love their Hawaiian pizza option. All their ingredients are quality and fresh. This particular location is in the front of the Violet Crown Social Club, which is a great spot for drinks and pizza. Also sometimes there is a wait for the pizza … it’s totally worth it!

Best pizza I’ve ever had. Carnivore or omnivore, can’t go wrong. Wait can get a bit long so try to order early. The pies come on the small side, so order more than you might think. It’s well worth it though, I’ve lived in SF, NYC, and Texas and this blow anything I’ve had out of the water.

Had a good first dinner here with wife and friends. Food tastes even better when you don’t have to pay for it. We got the Detroiter, the Cadillac, and the Herbivore. Getting 3 pizzas for a group of 4 was a pretty decent amount of food, especially if you want to food crawl East 6th street. Now I’m not a big fan of deep dish or Pizza Hut style butter-slathered pizzas but this place was acceptable. The pizzas took about 25 minutes to come out and we’re pretty greasy. However, the toppings were top notch and had a good amount of red sauce that I enjoy. The Detroiter had some nice crispy sausage. The Herbivore was kind of reminiscent of a frozen combo pizza, but fancier, but it helped add balance to the meatier pizzas we had. The Cadillac was interesting and it think it could benefit from some arugula on top but was well executed. Overall, great outdoor seating area, interesting selection of pizzas, get your beers on your way in through the bar and enjoy the great Austin spring weather!

Have to admit… I had a pizza delivered to my Airbnb via postmates, so I didn’t get the full experience. However, if my delivery is any indication, this place is kicking ass! I had the cheese pizza and loved every single bite. Perfectly soft and crunchy all at the same time. Ooey gooey cheese with the sauce on top. I was only going to eat half but just couldn’t bring myself to put it down. The crust(and you get a lot of it thanks to the square size) is to die for.

So here’s the low down on this place. Two brothers moved from Detroit and brought their style of pizza to Austin. Think thick crust, with tons of cheese spread out with crispy edges to each slice. There’s a TON of hype to this place, so I was pretty excited to try it out. My overall experience here was pretty positive. The place itself is nice and clean and our server was wonderful. We waited for about 30 – 40 minutes on Valentine’s Day, which I didn’t think was too bad. We ordered the Detroiter and added jalapeños. The pizza was pretty delicious. Not the best I’ve had, but certainly NOT the worst! Overall, I’d say it’s worth a shot.

So I had heard a million things about this place and was pleasantly surprised that it actually matched my inflated expectations. I had tried to go twice but both times the wait was over an hour for which I didn’t have time for. So if you go don’t expect to have a quick grab and go. Even though I got there at 5:10(mind you the place opens at 5) I still had a half hour wait. Luckily they give you the option to go elsewhere and they’ll just text you when your food is ready. I ordered the omnivore and it was great. Normally I order thin crusts pizzas wherever i go but this one still had me finishing the entire pizza. Everyone will tell you its more like a Detroit style pizza versus a Chicago deep dish. There is a super thick layer of cheese that is nicely melted onto it with the vegetables and meat sitting in the flavor rather than just being dropped on after the cheese was melted. The crust was also nice and crispy on the edges. I had the omnivore and was very happy with my choice. There is a marinara sauce topping too which adds a lot of flavor. I am a pretty calorie conscious person but somehow I managed to demolish this thing so quickly.

ah-freakin’-mazing. I LOVE. THIS. PLACE. I don’t even usually like thick crust pizza– NYC style is THEWAYTOGO. BUT. I love this place. Crust: perfectly crispy on the outside & oh so soft on the inside— not too dense, not too airy. JUSTPERFECT Cadillac– love the glaze & the flavors… cheesy & generous with the toppings– fig, gorgonzola, prosciutto, balsamic glaze– how can you go wrong with this? Tip 1: Go an hour before you get hungry. I’m serious. Tip 2: Carpool, esp during peak hours. Tip 3: Seating and drinks at the bar next door :)

Are you burning the midnight oil and want a fantastic meal? OMG. This pizza hit the spot like no other for me. On a Tuesday night my group put in an order for«The Carnivore» pizza at this unassuming food truck on East 6th. The march over to the Violet Crown Social club was short and Via brought us our pizza directly to our table at the bar. How lovely and convenient! This pizza which the owners have labeled«Detroit style» is a thick, crispy crust, rectangle pan style pizza. Some of the cheese bubbles over the bread and manages to cook itself against the pan creating some irresistible burnt cheese bits. Usually, I throw away the crust but this was precious stuff to be admired and adored. The innards are just as wonderful, delicious traditional sauce, stretchy hot cheese, tasty, TASTY smoked pepperoni, ham, sausage bacon. Seriously, what more could you ask for on a pizza? You did it Via, you’ve summoned me out of my bias for NY style pizza. I can’t wait to try more flavors.

Although i usually prefer thin crust ny style pizza, i had to check out via 313 when i saw that they were voted one of the best pizzas in austin. I cant say that ive had detroit style pizza, at first i thought it was just deep dish pizza but its quite different. i had the Cadillac, which was topped with prosciutto and a sweet balsamic glaze. i think i may have found my new favorite pizza. The crust was crispy and chewy(in the good way) and the balance with the salty prosciutto and sweet balsamic was amazing. The pizzas are a little carb heavy though, its kind of like toppings on top of focaccia.
